Chapter 22: Apologise
Note: Some romance coming up...so uh...PREPARE YOURSELF
Tia's POV
It has been three weeks since I returned to Ridgedog, and they have been the best three weeks in my life. He said I could have the month off working to get us to be proper friends, not just his apprentice. He took me to a lake where we had a picnic until the sunset. We went to the beach, swimming and chasing each other in the sea. We went hiking on the tallest mountain of the island, and flew all the way back down. And at the end of the three weeks I finally accepted him as my best friend.
Snuggling up to him on the sofa, we watch a movie on the huge television screen he has. He puts an arm round my shoulder, leaning his head softly on mine. The movie suddenly got to a kissing scene, and I was all too aware of how close Ridge was. I tensed, just a little bit, but enough for him to notice. "What's up?" he murmurs, eyes focused on the screen. I just continue to stare at him. He looked so different now that the craziness had gone. I smile up at him and he looks down at me curiously. My hand move on its own accord, gently stroking his cheek, sliding up into his hair. His eyes twinkle in the flashing of the television screen as I bring his head down for my lips to catch his. My eyes shut instantly, moving my lips against his. He tilted his head so that our lips lock together like jigsaw pieces. His tongue gently licks my bottom lip, asking for an entrance and I let him explore my mouth.
Finally, we part, both of us panting for oxygen. I wrap my arms around his neck, grinning. I've never felt like that before, and I've got to admit it felt really, REALLY good. I can almost sense him grinning as he hugs me tightly. "Ridge?" I murmur, gently nudging his neck with my nose. "Yeah?" he murmurs, absentmindedly playing with my hair. "I'm sorry for running away. I...I'm sorry for leaving you. Are you sure you still want me as your apprentice? I don't deserve to be-" he cuts me off, pushing his lips firmly back to mine and my heart skips a beat as butterflies flutter in my stomach. A low moan escapes my mouth as I run my hand through his auburn hair, tangeling it in the spiky, perfect strands. After some more kissing, we finally pull away and he lifts my chin up to keep eye contact with me. "I don't blame you for leaving me so don't blame yourself. And it should be me who is saying sorry. So I'm sorry for everything I put you through."
I feel like my body had floated up to heaven right there and then. Ridge, the one person who never apologised for anything, who had no mercy, who hated everyone, had just kissed me and apologised. A smile spreads across my face and I throw my arm round him. "Thank you. Ridge...can you do me a favour?" I ask slowly. This was risky and it was putting Deamon's theory to the test. "Depends what it is..." he murmurs, his nose trailing against my forehead. "Can you...apologise to everyone?" I say, meeting his eyes, begging him. He blinks uncertainly at me. "Fine..." he sighs, getting up from the sofa. I blink-was it that easy? "Thank you." I grin, and when he turns to look at me he raises his eyebrows. I tuck my arms underneath his coat, and rest my head on his chest. "Come on then. You have to come with me," he says, tugging me off him. Nodding, I pull on my jacket that lay limply on the sofa and take off into the air after him.
He goes to Honeydew.inc first, knowing that was definitely the easiest. He floated in, and Simon almost jumped out of his skin. "Bloody hell, Ridge! For the last time, I don't know where she-" he pauses when he sees me and frowns uncertainly. Nudging Ridgedog forward, he glances at me as Lewis and Hannah come downstairs, almost running back up when they see him. "Ridge wants to say something." I start, nudging him forward again. He looks away uncertainly and then looks back at them. "Um sorry. For...everything." he mumbles. They all gawp at him. "Are you drunk?" Simon asks warily, and I laugh. "Well um...apology accepted Ridge." Lewis says carefully, walking towards him and holding out his hand. Ridgedog shakes it, nodding at him. "Thanks, I guess..." he says, glancing at me. "Was that enough?" he asks impatiently. I nod and wrap my arms around his neck, trying to ignore the stares. "I'll go apologize to Sips and Sjin..." he mutters, leaving. Turning towards Simon and Lewis and Hannah as he leaves, I grin.
Flying over to the surprised and confused trio, I hug them all, one by one. "How...what...what the hell just happened?" Lewis asks. "I got Ridge to apologise and to promise to never do another game again. You are safe now, friends." I smile before drifting away from them, turning on my invisibility. I fly towards where Sips and Sjin lived, watching as Ridgedog apologised. When he left, I grin and wrap my arms around him tightly. He looks at me with slightly bored eyes. I ruffle his hair up, and nip him on the neck. He raises his eyebrow at me, and rolls his eyes. After apologising to everyone, I eventually drag him back to the house. I push him up against the wall. His pupils dilute in the darkness. "Hm. Someone is frisky." he murmurs in a deep voice in my ear, taking my legs from under me and carrying me bridal style up the stairs quickly. "Where are we going?" I ask, trembling. He says nothing, just winks at me and I hold back a squeak as he opens the bedroom door, already beginning to nip at my neck.
Note: OH GOD :O WHAT HAVE I WRITTEN. THIS IS ESCALATING VERY QUICKLY :OOOO
Liam's POV
After the demigods left, we tried to explain to Sky what had happened. He eventually apologised, and left, leaving the two of us alone. We both hug, leaning onto the sofa. I was exhausted after the quest and just wanted to go to sleep. Leaning on Mitch's lap, I begin to fall asleep.
He shakes me as I begin to drift off. "What?" I mumble. "I'm still mad at you," he says with a glare. "W-why?" I ask, frowning as I sit up and run my hand through my messy hair. "You let Tia down there without permission" he snaps, shoving me off his lap onto the floor. I groan as I hit the light blue carpet, stumbling to my feet and sitting down on the sofa. "Mitch, I'm sorry, I really am..." I apologise, trying to turn his head to mine. He still looks away. "Mitch look at me!" I say angrily. I don't know where the anger came from, it just appeared. Leaning in closer, I grab him as hard as I can, trying to spin him round to look at me. When he finally gives in, he jerks round to face me.
It was an accident that our lips touched.
We both froze. My lips began to work against his without me controlling them. My hand moved automatically to brush his thick, brown hair, and I pull him in closer. And then he began to kiss me back, slowly, unsure at first before his hand snakes around my waist and I deepen it, sighing in content. He pushes me back slowly, taking the dominant role. Not that I had a problem with that. Smiling against his lips, I let him do all the work.
A few weeks later...
Coming down the stairs sleepily, I follow the smell of pancakes. Lazily thumping down the stairs, I yawn and stretch, smiling when I feel two strong arms go around me. "Morning" he murmurs in my ear, and I nuzzle his neck. "Morning" I grin, hugging him tightly. I didn't know how long it had taken me to realize how amazingly beautiful he was, how gorgeous he was. I gaze at him, taking in every detail with my eyes. He smiles smugly at me and I watch his muscles bulk up. He runs his hand through his hair, biting his lip before saying, "Like what you see?" I swallow, blushing and dodge past him, making him laugh and chase after me.
Deamon's POV
Hovering in the corn flower blue sky, I watch as Ridgedog and Tia fly together. He looked so much happier. Normal, now. He was finally happy again. Tia was, too. Now that he had apologised to everyone, they were together again. Literally. He had asked her out on a date to a lake. I felt a bit intrusive at the time, like a spy. But watching them kiss in the glow of the sunset, and the look Ridge gave her made me want to cheer. So I did. Both of their heads had snapped to me. And instead of getting all moody and snappy like he usually would...
He grinned.
Tia had just raised her eyebrows at me, smiling as Ridge pulled her into his arms, resting his head on hers. He stuck his tongue out at me, before mouthing "Thank you" and turning away, losing himself in the moment. Backing away, I had whispered, "You're welcome" knowing he would hear it. Then I had floated up, back to Voxeltopia, and had the pleasure of seeing Syncrasis scowling down at the happy couple, regret in her eyes. When she registered my presence I had grinned at her. "He's happy now. Don't go interfering." I had warned. She had stood up straight, curling her lip at me and raising her chin up like I was a peasant. "Are you trying to order me around?" she had demanded. "Don't be like that. I've seen you sneaking around with Neutron, warming up his bed." Her face paled. "What do you want me to do?" she had asked, voice shaking a little. "Don't let Mexxy interfere with Ridgedog and Tia. Or else." I had threatened, storming triumphantly out of the room, grinning to myself. No one would break them apart now, not on my watch.
Note: Miam and Tidgedog anyone? ;D
