Olivia's POV:
Lydia anxiously knelt down onto the floor, brushing her hand across the statues of what used to be human hunters that laid in the middle of the school hallway.
"So...we're facing something that we can't look at?" I grimly ask. "How do we do that?"
"I have no idea." Lydia muttered as she stood up to her feet.
Running footsteps from behind cause us to turn and my heart swells in relief, seeing as it was only Scott, Malia, Allison, Phoebe, and Liam.
Allison picks up her pace and pulled me into a tight hug with a sigh of relief. "I assumed the worse when you didn't pick up any of my calls."
"You have Lydia to thank for pulling me out of there on time." I weakly chuckle before pulling away from her embrace. "Even though I got my ass kicked."
"It did that to them?" Liam asked in slight surprise at the statues in front of us. "Do we even stand a chance?"
"What if we fight it how Perseus fought Medusa?" Phoebe suggested. "Maybe use any sort of reflection against it?"
"I don't feel too comfortable testing out that theory." Allison muttered.
"Then that means we have to learn to fight without our eyes." Scott answered but Malia looked at him incredulously.
"Fight without seeing?" She scoffed. "That means..."
Lydia sighed. "Deucalion."

I brush out my soaked hair, carefully trying to detangle the knots until I look up at Allison's vanity mirror to meet my reflection.
"Mrs. Finch, I'm sorry...but your family, they were attacked...and they're dead." Scott's voice echoed in my thoughts.
"Dead? They...no, they can't be dead, because...t-they were just...they were...they were in the woods. They were just--they were just hiding out." Mrs. Finch's trembling voice chimed in. "They were scared."
I shut my eyes, attempting to block out the noise.
"You killed her!" Mrs. Finch cried out. "You killed my daughter!"
"I knew I recognized you from somewhere, Ophelia." Quinn dryly chuckled. "I could feel the phoenix's instability from a mile away."
"Don't fall for their tricks, child. It wants you to lose control!"
"Baby?" My eyes shoot open out of fear but to my relief see Allison stand behind me, drying her hair off with her towel. "Everything okay?"
I slowly nod with a fake smile, not wanting to add on to more of our worries. "Just in my head, that's all." I reassure before letting out a tired yawn. "And a little exhausted from today."
She walks over to me with a look of concern and I stand to my feet from the chair. She lifts my shirt up a bit and peels back the bandages, earning a sigh to escape from her lips. "It's still not healed yet." She whispered before carefully smoothening the bandages back into place.
"Well I was almost drained from my powers so it's not surprising that it would take a while to heal. I just need to rest." I softly chuckled and raised my hand, resting it on her cheek and using my thumb to pry at her bottom lip. "Or something else."
Allison raised a brow in amusement. "Mind explaining to me what exactly is that something?"
"Why tell when I can show?" I whisper, brushing our lips together but Allison moved back a bit to prevent our lips from connecting.
She teasingly lifted her finger and traced under my lip with a smile. "I thought you were exhausted?"
"Haven't I already told you that whenever you walk into the room," I mumble, tilting her head up to let our lips ghost over each others again. "you make me feel alive over and over again?"
"I might need a reminder." She hummed before tugging me in, making our lips crash against each other as I guided us back to our bed.
She pushed herself into me and I let out a sigh in response before she moved to continue kissing the underside of my jaw.
"Once I find my other half, I'll come after every single one of your loved ones until you are the last one standing. I'll come after you friends, your family," I shut my eyes at the distorted voice. "and...Allison Argent."
"I swear to god, one more step--"
"You'll never be strong enough to stop me. I mean...isn't that how your mom died?"
"Mom, please. I can't do this without you, I need you!" I hear myself pleadingly cry out. "Please for god's sake, say something!"
I feel a hand cup my face and I open my eyes, meeting Allison's warm-filled eyes. "Are you sure you're feeling okay?" She whispered in concern.
"Not even the one you keep close to your heart will be able to stop you unless she has the golden arrow." Ophelia's warning caused my heart to sink.
I tuck in several strands of her hair behind her ear, practically fighting back the ache in my heart. "I just...I want to feel normal again. Please." I lean close to brush my lips against her ear. "I need you."
She pulls back a bit to slip off her shirt with ease, revealing her exposed front. "You always will have me." She mumbled before leaning in, pressing her lips against mine.
She briefly pulls away and I raise my hands to help her slide my shirt over my head before I toss it to the side. She rests her hands on my hips but before I could kiss her again, she delicately traces the scar from when I was stabbed in the middle of my stomach with her fingers.
My stomach flexes under her touch at the wretched memory and almost as if she sensed the hesitation, she cups my face with her other hand so that I could look into her eyes again.
They soften into adoration before I lean forward to kiss her again, pulling her against me. She tilts her head to the side as I pepper more kisses along the side of her neck, guiding her carefully to lay down on the bed.
No One's POV:
"Ahhh!" The omega cried out as the electric currents painfully ran through his body, using the bits of strength he had left to try to rip his bounds to the metal gate.
The shocks subside, allowing Ethan to catch his breath but the hunters and new recruits that were gathered in the armory kept a fair distance from the two werewolves.
Due to the endless electrocution, it left the other werewolf to closely slip into unconsciousness out of pure exhaustion. Others could mistaken him for being dead due to the open wound on his abdomen which formed a blood puddle underneath.
"Isaac, stay awake." Ethan scolded, causing the boy to tiredly blink a few times.
"I-I'm trying." He rasped.
"Take a good look." Monroe emphasized, walking to the front of the crowd to stand in front of the werewolves. "We keep that current of electricity coursing through them because otherwise, they'd rip through their bindings. Because otherwise, they'd break free and kill us." She turned to look him in the eyes with a sneer.
"I'd start with you." Ethan growled.
In response, the electric currents activate once more, sending the two wolves to roar in pain once more.
Monroe turns to face the crowd once more, releasing the trigger on the remote to give relief to the machine. "The people who came before us used arrows and crossbows to fight them." She held up the already-bloodied arrow for the hunters to see. "This is all they had to protect themselves--a sliver of wood."
Isaac's heartbeat quickened, recognizing the scent of the blood-coated arrow to be the person he arrived to Beacon Hills with. "W-What did you do to her?" Isaac snarled, trying to yank his hands out from the handcuffs. "Where is she!"
Monroe ignored the question and swiftly grabbed Ethan's wrist, showcasing his claws that were extended. "While he has claws that can cut into bone, and fangs to tear us apart!" She raised her voice, forcing his jaw down to show his canines. "He's stronger, faster, and his ability to heal can only be described as extraordinary."
She releases her grip before scanning the crowd, stopping once she sees Sydney. "You." She points at her with the arrow in her hand.
Sydney's heartbeat quickens out of discomfort, realizing that everyone's eyes were on her now.
"What's your name?"
"Sydney..." She nervously trailed, anxiously watching as Monroe walked closer to her.
"You've seen them up close." She stated, watching as Sydney nervously fiddled with her fingers. "Don't be shy."
The teenager takes a deep breath before recalling the tragedy that happened at the lacrosse game with the rather large beast facing off against Scott and Olivia. "There was a lacrosse game...we got trapped in the library."
Monroe tilted her head to the side in concern. "And what did you do?
Flashes of memories filled in her mind, remembering how she cowered with several students upstairs, praying that their lives would be spared. "Nothing. All we could do was hide."
Monroe simply nodded, not surprised at the answer and faked a smile. "That's okay, Sydney." Monroe reassured by placing her hand on her shoulder. "I did the same thing...until I got tired of hiding."
She looks away from the girl and cleared her throat to speak louder to the crowd. "Tired of being afraid. And I decided it's their turn to be afraid!" She shouted, walking over to Ethan and stabbed him in the abdomen with the arrow.
"Ahhh!" He roars out but his cries were overheard by the cheers from the crowd except for two individuals who stared at their misery in discomfort.
Sydney and Nolan.
Sydney has already been afraid about siding with the hunters since Olivia and Scott technically saved her that night. If they hadn't showed up to the library, who knows what would've happened.
She could see the fear in Olivia's eyes when the Beast threw her to crash against the bookshelves from where she and the other students were hiding. She saw the determination to put her life out on the line.
Nolan on the other hand, he was hesitant. He looked away from Ethan's pained expression, feeling his stomach churn in discomfort at the blood oozing out of the omega's side.
"It's their turn!" Monroe exclaimed over the cheers.
In the other side of town, Lydia was tossing and turning under her bed covers, clearly in the middle of a premonition-like dream with her brows creased in discomfort as she tightly clutched onto her pillow.
"Their turn to hide!"
Due to the stress baring on her shoulders becoming overwhelming by the day, Olivia tiredly rubbed her eyes with a sigh.
She glanced down at her girlfriend in concern, seeing as Allison peacefully slept on her side with her arm draped around Olivia's exposed stomach.
Suddenly, the vibration from her cellphone caused her to snap her attention to the nightstand. She gently removed Allison's hand from her waist and got up to reach for the device.
She squinted her eyes at the name flashed across the screen until they slightly widen.
Scott🐺
not sure if you're awake but if you are, come outside. i'll give you five minutes.
Olivia hesitantly glanced between the message and her girlfriend, debating whether or not it was best to get back into bed or follow Scott to who knows where.
"Their turn to feel alone!"
She quietly slips on warmer clothes and running shoes before snatching her phone from the nightstand. Just before she headed towards the door, she looked down one last time to Allison who had shifted her position in the covers, almost as if she was looking for Olivia.
She carefully tucked in a pillow next to Allison's side as a replacement and in a matter of seconds, the girl cuddled into the pillow with a small smile and Olivia exited the room without turning back.
"Their turn to run!"
At the Beacon Hills Hospital, Phoebe adjusted her posture in the chair beside her father's bed, watching as he slept.
With a sigh, she propped her head on her hand and continued to scroll through her photo album in her phone, seeing the dozens of photos of her and Hayden.
I mean, was it healthy to reminisce the times that were nice in her life for once? Well...maybe it shouldn't be through the photos of her ex that left her behind.
At least she was safe, Phoebe thought to herself. Safe from the chaos within Beacon Hills.
But what troubled her was the whereabouts of the people she called for reinforcements. See, what Olivia didn't know was that Phoebe stole her phone a while back and wrote down some phone numbers that she assumed to be useful in the future.
After a quick and short notice of what was happening in Beacon Hills, the two friends didn't hesitate to agree about coming back and promised to be there in two days. The scary thing about it?
It's been a week and neither of them have been answering their phone calls.
Not wanting to stress over the dozens of possibilities, she compiled all of the photos of her and Hayden before permanently erasing them.
"Their turn to be hunted!" Monroe shouted, taking note of the fear becoming apparent at the hunters' expressions. From what she learned from Gerard, the Anuk-ite was on their side to take Scott McCall and the rest of the supernaturals down. "I was alone when I killed that Hellhound—a creature they said couldn't be killed."
The crowd started to clap and cheer in response to Monroe's words, unaware of the influence of the Anuk-ite's fear-induced power.
"You know who else was alone?" Monroe's eyes fall to the boy who timidly tried to avoid eye-contact from anyone. "Nolan, come here."
Nolan, who is barely containing his anxiety and panic over everything that he's done by involving himself in their army, feels a pat on his back and he nervously walked to join her side.
"You wanna know what Nolan did?" Monroe rested her left hand on his shoulder as Ethan and Isaac, still exhausted and panting in the background, listen in disbelief. "On his own, late at night, he risked his life to try to take out Scott McCall--the Alpha."
Isaac's ear perks up at the mention of his friend's name, worry creasing his expression. What could they have done to the point that made her want to proudly address it to the crowd?
Monroe affectionately squeezed his shoulders as the hunters in the crowd nod and mumble to themselves, impressed at the revelation. "This sixteen-year-old boy put enough bullets in that house, I'm surprised it's still standing! While it would've been nice to take down the phoenix, it was enough to break her spirit by taking away someone that brings her hope! Someone that should have decided to be with us rather than against us!"
Isaac lets out a snarl, shaking the handcuffs to try to break free but most of the hunters cheer and fist-pump in glee while Sydney looked around with a saddened expression.
After giving a moment of applause, Monroe held her hand up which caused them to simmer down the cheers. "You won't have to be alone."
She turns around and flipped the nearby switch, turning on the lights above them to show the guns and other weaponry on the shelves around them.
"Thanks to Gerard, you have an armory—guns, weapons," Monroe trailed as the crowd looked around in awe. "And, most of all, you have each other."
Ethan and Isaac share hesitant looks, unsure of whether this was the end judging by the way their odds were looking for them.
"I don't wanna pretend that this will be easy. I know it goes against our nature as protectors." Monroe explained, seeing as some of the hunters eyed the large guns on the shelves. "But, you're going to have to be like Nolan and Sydney. Keep their bravery in mind when you step out tonight and do what you know you have to do."
Monroe suddenly turned around to Ethan and harshly ripped the arrow out of his side, causing a small geyser of blood to fly out.
Ethan lets out a roar filled with agony but Monroe triumphantly held the arrow, causing the crowd to erupt in cheers at the action before she plunged the arrow into Isaac's bloodied wound.
After a moment, Monroe gestured for Sydney to come closer to her. "Sydney."
The girl uneasily walks toward her and Monroe hands her the set of keys to the handcuffs. "Get them out of here." As Sydney gently unlocked the handcuffs to Ethan's wrists, Monroe turned to Nolan with a brow raised, taking note of his anxiousness. "You, too."
Nolan gives a short nod, reluctance creeping into his skin as Sydney handed him the keys to uncuff Isaac's wrists.
The two teens haul Isaac and Ethan out of the room, watching as Monroe proudly smiled to the other hunters checking out the weaponry offered to them.
Nolan and Sydney continue to half-carry the two wolves into the nearby hallway, which earned a groan to escape from Ethan's lips, trying his best to maintain consciousness to get information about what happened to his partner.
"Where is he?" Ethan rasped but Sydney carefully leans him against a nearby steel barrel for support. "What have you done with him? Where is he? Where's Jackson?"
Isaac, whose vision was worsening in seconds, tiredly stops walking as he looked at Nolan. "You better tell me where's--" He whispered but a sharp pain erupted from his side which caused him to wince. "where's Cora."
Nolan slowly shook his head, unsure of who he was talking about. "I-I'm sorry. I don't know who that is."
Isaac tightly gripped onto Nolan's collar, mustering every bit of strength to at least shake him. "Y-You're lying! Tell me..." He slurred before his grip loosened. "Tell me or I'll...I'll..." He trailed off until his head lolled to the side, falling into unconsciousness as he collapsed to the ground as well with Ethan's eyes fluttering shut.
Sydney and Nolan share frowns with one another until they step away from them, an unsettling sense of guilt filling their chests.
