Phoebe's POV:

"So she chose Long Beach?" Hayden asked as we walked to our lockers and I nod, swinging our interlaced hands. "That's great! Is she nervous?"

"A bit but she's just glad she got into a college with a good nurse program." I explain with a giddy smile. "But it's not what I wanted to talk to you about."

She curiously raises a brow as she momentarily removed her hand from mine to spin the dial to her locker to unlock it. "Should I be concerned?" I playfully shove her arm, earning a laugh to escape her lips. "I'm kidding! What is it?"

"Well since my parents are supposed to help Olivia move into her dorm over the summer, I see it as an opportunity for—well, for us." I shyly emphasize.

Hayden's brows furrow into confusion. "What do you mean?"

I grab onto her hands with a grin. "I asked my dad and he said that you can tag along for the trip so we can spend time together over the summer!"

Her eyes widen in shock. "Oh...T-that's great!"

I nod in agreement as I excitedly shake our hands. "Right! See, I knew you would say yes. We get to visit all of the cool spots in LA!"

"Well, you see—"

"Ooh! Like the Griffith Observatory where you can see more into our universe and learn more about the cosmos or the Santa Monica Pier—"

"That really seems nice but babe—"

"Even West Hollywood where they have the rainbow sidewalks!" I exclaim, imagining the fun poses Hayden and I could do. "And if I save more money, we can try to see if we could go to Disneyland! But knowing my dad, he'd want us to check out the colleges down there so I'm sure we'd do that first but—"

"Phoebe!" Hayden yelled, cutting me off from my rambles by placing her hands on my shoulders. "I'm not going with you!"

The smile on my face falters at her words. "W-What?"

"As much as I would love to go and spend my summer with you...I can't." Hayden sadly trailed. "I can't go with you."

"Oh...well that's okay." I awkwardly clear my throat and give a small smile. "I'll just bring back a souvenir from the observatory. They have some cool space trinkets I'm sure you'd love." I expected her to simply nod at that but the saddened expression remained. "I have a feeling that there's more to why you can't come with me."

Hayden closed her locker before leading me to one of the benches nearby. "I've been doing a lot of thinking since things finally cooled down and...I realized that I have to do what was best for the sake of my sister and I. For our safety."

Out of habit, I squeeze her hands. "W-What do you mean?"

She nervously looks down at the floor. "We're leaving Beacon Hills next week."

My heart sinks. "Not for good, right?" She reluctantly nods and I slowly shake my head. "Oh well, that's okay. I'm—we, er—I'm okay with trying long distance! If Olivia can do it with Allison, then what makes us any different?"

"The difference is that I don't want to put you through that uncertainty of seeing each other again, Phoebe." She rasped, tears threatening to spill from her eyes. "I can't put myself through that and it won't be fair to either of us."

"But...I love you." I whisper, not bothering to wipe the tears trickling down my cheek.

She sadly smiles as she reached forward, wiping away the tear from my face. "I don't regret anything that happened between us because you introduced me to a better world, Phoebe Jimenez. You have a beautiful heart, don't let anyone change that okay?"

I simply nod but she leaned forward, pressing a small kiss against my cheek before standing up from the bench, leaving me to watch her walk away to the parking lot without another word.

Olivia's POV:

Lydia, Malia, Allison, and I walk towards our lockers and I spin the correct numbers on the dial with ease until it clicks open.

"So I was thinking, we can all meet up at my house to get ready since I need help choosing between some dresses I bought the other day--"

"You still haven't chosen?" Allison worriedly asked.

"No, because I couldn't decide what matched better with our burgundy cap and gown!" Lydia huffed. "Besides, I picked out some things for you guys to try on as well.

I chuckle, pulling my binders out of the locker. "Never change Lydia. Never change."

Malia's brows furrow into confusion. "And why do I have to tag along? I technically didn't finish."

"True, but there's no way in hell you're not going to walk and get your diploma with us." Lydia stated. "I had my mom and Sheriff Stilinski pull some strings and...they're letting you walk the stage. They just can't officially give you your diploma."

Malia's eyes widen. "Wait, seriously?"

"No woman left behind, Mal." Allison patted her shoulder with a smile. "You deserve it."

"It's still surreal that we're not in high school anymore." I say, closing my locker shut and shoving the padlock into my bag. "I mean, everything's..."

"Changed." Lydia finished for me, keeping her stares behind me in which I follow her line of vision, seeing that it was on Stiles who already had been staring at us with a smile.

"Aw..." Allison teasingly nudges Lydia's shoulder. "I knew you two would end up together."

"Oh hush." Lydia shyly clears her throat with her cheeks flushed and closed her locker shut. "When do you two leave for school? I want to make sure I buy the right--"

"Lydia." Allison quickly scolds, causing me to furrow my brows in confusion. "Not yet."

Lydia's eyes flicker towards me but they slightly widen. "Oh you haven't--"

"No!"

I look back and forth between the two with suspicion. "All right, spill."

"It's nothing." Allison assured, giving my hand a small squeeze.

"Then why is your heart beating out of your chest?" Malia asked but instantly Lydia punches her on the shoulder. "Ow!"

"Allison--"

"Liv, come on!" Stiles cut in, wrapping his arm around my shoulder with Scott behind him. "I still need to give you something in my Jeep."

"I know, I know. I just need to talk to--"

"We'll catch up later. Promise." Allison assured, pressing a quick kiss against my cheek. "I need to return a textbook anyway."

"Great! See you later!" Stiles answered before I could speak, guiding me away from them to walk towards the double doors.

I glance behind with a wave. "Love you!"

A smile formed on her face. "I love you too!"

"Okay! So, Liam, since you're the new Alpha–"

"I'm not an Alpha." Liam cut him off, leaning against the back of Stiles' jeep with Mason and Phoebe beside him.

Stiles sighed. "Right. But, you know, Alpha-in-training."

"Well, I'd have to kill an Alpha."

"Liam, since you're taking over," Stiles rephrased again with annoyance. "the most important thing you can remember is that Mason is always gonna be the one who's there to save your ass all the time."

"Well, not all the time." Scott quickly adds, smiling at the reference of themselves as a grin formed on Mason's face.

"Most of the time, though." Stiles grinned.

"But, Phoebe, you have to be the one to keep these two in check when they try to drag you out of class to investigate anything that seems slightly suspicious." I say and pat her back. "I recommend having a bottle of Advil in your purse because, with the amount of time I spent arguing with these two, you're going to need it."

"Back to the point!" Stiles raised his voice, turning to take something out of his jeep. "I think you're gonna need this."

He pulls out his aluminum baseball bat that he'd been using for the times he needed to get himself out of trouble.

Mason's brows furrow into confusion. "Uh, I don't play baseball."

"Right, neither do I. It's...It's not the point." Stiles pushed it into his hands.

"Okay...thanks." Mason nervously laughed.

"Is it okay if I catch a ride with them?" Phoebe softly asked, gesturing to Liam and Mason as they started to leave. "I have to talk to them about some things."

"You're not hanging out with Hayden?" I question.

She winced at the name before quickly shaking her head. "She's busy so she can't make it to the graduation dinner."

"Well, okay. Just make sure you text dad." I say and she nods, following behind them to catch up.

"Love you guys!" Stiles calls out before turning back to his trunk. "Now for you, Olivia, I have this." He pulls out his bulletin board, causing my eyes to widen at the large frame and I carefully take it from his hands. "Oh, and this!"

He places the ball of the red string in my hands and a bag filled with push pins. "Stiles, I don't think I'll find anything supernatural in southern California."

"Hey, you never know what might happen! One day a mystery might fall into your lap and you'll thank me for leaving the board so you could get a better view of your listed suspects!" He explained which caused me to chuckle. "Okay but in all seriousness, it's to remind you of the adventures we had here and to never forget that I'm only a call away if you need me. You might not have been here at the very start with Scott and I, but you've made an impact in our lives with everything that we've been through. You're family."

I sadly smile and immediately pull him into a hug. "You're a part of my family too, Sti."

He pulls away, quickly wiping his eye before he turns back to his car, pulling out a roll of duct tape. "Scott, I leave you with this." He says before tapping his jeep. "You know...hurt her, and I'll kill you."

Scott's brows furrow into hesitation. "You sure you won't need it?"

"It's okay." Stiles assured as he dismissively waved his hand. "Lydia's gonna drive me down to D.C. She wants to help me move into my dorm, so..."

"It still baffles me that she's starting MIT as a junior." I say, tucking in the ball of string and pushpins in my bag.

"Right! How do you even do that?" Stiles exasperated.

"I...she's a genius." Scott chuckled.

"Real question is, how did Scott get into UC-Davis?" He asked.

"How did you get into George Washington?" Scott retorted before turning to me. "And how did you manage to get accepted by Long Beach?"

I sheepishly smile. "Staying up long nights with a ton of caffeine."

"And I got into George Washington because of...your dad. The—uh, big FBI pops made a call to the little pre-FBI program." Stiles explained with a shrug.

"Pre-FBI and a good med school." Scott muttered with an impressed look as he glanced between us. "Well, I guess we're not the same kids running around the woods, looking for a body. And in your case, Olivia, scrambling to figure out who's the Kanima."

I simply shook my head with a small smile, remembering the first time I met Stiles and practically dismissing the boy from my sight in gym class while with Scott, we just couldn't stand each other. "Not even close."

Stiles dug inside his pockets and pulled out a chain of keys, placing it into Scott's hands.

"You know, you can keep the Jeep." Scott hesitantly spoke up.

He quickly shook his head. "No. I...I want you to have it."

Scott moves the keys one by one until his brows furrow into confusion. "Stiles, these aren't the keys to the jeep."

"Well, that one is to your house, another to your room, one to Olivia's house, uh–it's the master key to the school, animal clinic, a key to the Sheriff's station." He listed off and I shake my head in amusement, seeing the red labeled key I knew was mine. "I just figured you should have all the copies I secretly made, so."

Stiles pulls another set of keys out of his pocket, clenching them into his hands as he looked behind Scott and I.

"They still need us." He gently spoke u and nodded his head to the students walking out of the school, laughing with their friends.

Scott nodded. "They'll always need us."

I snort. "They'd be dead if it weren't for us."

"That's true but, you know, I...I need you. Both of you." Stiles continued with a small smile. "You know that."

Tears brim my eyes and I shake my head, quickly wiping the tear that trickled down my face.

"I need you, too." Scott muttered with a nod, wrapping an arm around my shoulder to pull me close to him. "I'm gonna miss you guys."

"I hate crying." I laugh, wiping my eyes once again before I shook my head. "But I'm most likely going to call you guys a lot until you're sick of me."

"Not possible, but I'll miss you guys too." Stiles chuckled, exhaling through his nose. "But no, really, I need you, though. Uh... I lost my license in the Hunt, so you have to drive."

Scott chuckled. "Your dad is the Sheriff. I'm sure he'll let it slide. You drive."

"My mom's using the car so I need a ride to Lydia's please." I say as I climbed over the backseat while Scott and Stiles stepped into the front seats.

Stiles started the ignition and his jeep rumbles beneath us, but the police radio in the middle console crackles to life. "Jimenez, repeat--you're telling me there's a body in the woods?" Sheriff Stilinski's voice spoke up through the radio.

I lean forward through the seats, exchanging knowing looks with Scott and Stiles.

"That's exactly what I'm saying," My dad's voice chimed in. "There's a body in the woods--"

Stiles switched off the police radio with his lips pursed before turning to Scott and I. "Uh..."

"One for the road?" I suggest, causing a smile to appear on Scott's face.

"Yes!" Stiles cheered and quickly pulled out of the parking spot, leaving the school behind one last time.

"Okay, where are you taking me?" I laugh as Allison horribly tried to guide me up the stairs that led somewhere. "You know I could easily burn the robe with a flick of my wrist, right?"

After our graduation dinner with our families, Allison wanted us to celebrate the rest of the night with just us two. Especially since she wanted to touch back into the conversation slip-up at the school with Lydia and Malia, but she wanted to tell me somewhere else.

Since she didn't exactly have a blindfold in her car, she made me use my graduation robe to cover my entire head so I wouldn't try to peek.

"You wouldn't because you love me so much." She giggled, causing me to let out an exaggerated groan. "We're almost there, I promise. Patience, ma amour."

The sound of a key unlocking something causes me to furrow my brows into confusion but before I could ask, she guides me to start walking forward again.

"Okay give me one second." She whispered before hearing her faintly walk away for a moment to shut the door behind us. "Okay...now I'm done. Ready?"

"If this is going to hurt, then no." I snort and immediately she smacks my arm. "I'm kidding! I'm kidding! Of course, I'm ready.

I feel a piece of paper placed in my hand and I carefully take the robe off over my head to read out loud.

Dear Celestine Allison Argent,

I am pleased to offer you admission to this Fall semester at California State University, Fullerton! Congratulations on your academic performance! On behalf of the University, I extend to you a warm welcome to our academic community.

"F-Fullerton?" I stammer as I shakily held the paper in my hands and Allison quickly nods with a smile, placing her hands under mine to hold. "Then that means--"

"I'm only thirty minutes away from Long Beach." She cuts in with a grin and I pull her into a tight hug.

"B-But you said you were dying to get accepted to San Francisco state?" I worriedly say. "Why Fullerton?"

"Being four hundred miles away to go to a school for law enforcement isn't worth it if I don't get to see you." She pulls away slightly, cupping my face in her hand to tuck in some of my hair behind her ear. "When you and Stiles were trapped in the Hunt for so long...nothing in my life felt right without you in it."

I lean into her hand, unable to fight the smile on my face. "You're insane."

"You think so? Well then..." She pulls away a bit and pulls something out of her pocket. "Do you want to know the real reason why I've been working so much as Sheriff Stilinski's protege and other small jobs? I mean, despite to get the experience?"

I slowly shake my head. "That would've been my only guess why."

"Olivia, from the moment that we met, you and I have been surrounded by chaos. From facing off against the supernatural to struggling to catch up with school. We fought werewolves, a lizard, an alpha pack, Dread Doctors, Chimeras, the Wild Hunt. Everything that we faced, we still loved each other even if we were separated! Physically and emotionally. But, not even that could tear us apart for good." She emphasized, causing tears to brim my eyes. "Olivia Flores, I love you with every fiber of my being. You are the only person that I want to see as soon as I get out of bed, when I come back home after a long day, watch cheesy shows and movies on the couch together, and be the last person I see when I go to sleep and hopefully for the rest of our lives."

"Allison—" I worriedly trail but she quickly shakes her head.

"I'm not proposing, don't worry." She laughed and placed something in my hand. "At least not yet anyway. Open your hand."

I slowly turn it over and my eyes widen, seeing the small golden key in the palm of my hand.

"Olivia Flores, will you move into an apartment with me?" My heart leaps at the question but all I could do at the moment is happily nod in response, causing a smile to appear on her face. "Are you sure? I know it's sudden and you don't need to feel pressured to say yes but--"

"No, no, no, I'll move in with you!" I quickly interrupted, pulling her into a tight hug. "I'd be a complete idiot if I said no, are you kidding?"

She giggles as she pulls away a bit, leaning in to kiss me eagerly. I place a hand on the small of her back, sighing in contentment as I pull her close to me.

I pull back a bit, nudging her nose against mine with a grin. "I love you. So much."

"I love you too." She whispered. "L'amour de ma vie. I can't wait to move in with you."

At that moment, it felt everything had fallen right into place. I get to go to college, I'm going to move in with someone I'm positive I want to spend the rest of my life with, and I'm taking it one step at a time to follow under my mom's shoes to become a nurse.

Surprisingly...I felt on top of the world.

But deep down...I knew something always had to step in and ruin it.
