One
Olivia's POV:
Within the three months after we defeated the Beast and the Dread Doctors, it seemed like everything good fell into place.
Lydia's mom has been helping me catch up with credits and according to her, I'm at a good path to graduate with the rest of my friends in time. For my attendance record, however, I still needed to work as coach's assistant so he could clear my absences.
Phoebe and I have grown closer than ever! After selling a couple of our old stuff and working small jobs, we managed to buy a decent car for mom so we wouldn't have to consistently take turns using the other one.
Well, except for the fact that now that Allison helped her learn how to drive, it meant Phoebe and I had to take turns using the car...which isn't that bad so at least it makes things easier for mom.
But the one thing I've been keeping from her is how my abilities would transfer to her when I would die. I couldn't exactly tell her just yet since it would distract her from school.
Especially Allison. I don't want her to be too focused into protecting me when she should be solely focused into saving herself but with things being quiet, I'm not too concerned into telling them or our friends just yet.
Speaking of Allison, our relationship has definitely improved. Thankfully the colleges we want to enroll to are somewhat close but it still meant that we would be busy with school and it would be semi-difficult to try to find free time for each other.
But in all honesty, I'm a bit on the fence whether or not I should leave Beacon Hills. There's still that bit of fear that some supernatural threat that could endanger the city, my family.
I can't admit it to Allison since knowing her, she would push me to leave Beacon Hills to have a better future for myself but...I felt selfish.
But I'm not too worried to tell her soon. Especially since she's been busy helping me a lot to catch up with my classes and hers.
"As much as I want to ditch Mrs. Finch's lab homework and continue this," I whisper with a smile against her lips. "we should really go back to studying."
Except with a few distractions that sometimes get in the way...not that I'm complaining.
"Well consider this as a study break." Allison grinned as she adjusted her position to straddle my waist and wrap her arms around my neck. "The greatest minds deserve to rest."
I raise a brow with amusement. "So what I'm hearing is that I'm close to becoming a genius?"
"My genius." She emphasized with a chuckle before she pecked my lips. "My beautiful, loving, hilarious—"
"Uh huh...keep it going." I tease, peppering kisses along the sides of her neck. "Don't stop with the compliments."
"Annoying, obnoxious, stubborn, and sometimes awkward—"
I pull away with a gasp. "What the—"
"Girlfriend." She finally finished with a giggle at my expression. "L'amour de ma vie."
"I'll totally forget about the small insults because I love it when you speak French." I mutter, trailing my hands under her shirt in which my fingertips meet her skin to graze her sides.
"Is that so?" She chuckles before she pushed some of my hair away from my neck and leaned down, attaching her lips against my exposed skin. "I'll take a mental note for future reference." She whispered against my neck which causes my breath to hitch in my throat as I held her waist tighter. "Also, I want to be the first person to give you your birthday present."
I rolled my neck to the side as she placed more kisses along my chest before carefully pushing me down to lay against the bed. "Can I know now?" I teasingly whisper.
She stops at a certain spot which causes my eyes to roll at the feeling, stifling a moan from escaping since I knew she was leaving some small red marks. "I'll give you a sneak peek."
She breathlessly sits up and I watch as she grabs the hem of her t-shirt before she teasingly slides it over her head with her chest now exposed.
"I love it already." I whisper before I pull her down once more, earning a small giggle to escape from her as I reconnected our lips once more.
Before things could escalate, the sound of a door abruptly swings open. "Hey Liv, your package for Alli—oh jesus!" I quickly pull away, meeting Phoebe's horrified expression with her hands over her eyes. "I know I've said I wanted to have a close friendship with Allison but this wasn't what I met! Why me?"
Allison quickly gets off of my lap and brings her shirt to her chest with her cheeks flushed.
"Phoebe, haven't you heard of this thing called knocking?" I scold, quickly handing Allison the small blanket to cover her chest. "You don't see me barging in whenever Hayden comes over!"
"First of all, it's my room too in case you forgot!" She remarked as she blindly placed the package to lean against the wall. "Can I look now?"
"You're good." Allison muttered as she slid her t-shirt back on before she placed the blanket by our feet. "Sorry."
"I thought you were going on a date with Hayden. Did she cancel?"
"Not exactly. She heard about how Allison taught me how to drive so she wanted me to pick her up for a change so I need the keys." Phoebe answered as she walked over to the desk and snatched them from the cup. "Is the gas tank full?"
"I'm pretty sure D..." I pause, trying to remember who had the car last. "Actually, I'm not sure."
She huffed. "Great." She mutters before she looked at herself in the mirror. "Oh god, is what I'm wearing okay? Should I change?"
Allison and I share an amused expression before we look back at her. "Phoebe."
"Maybe I should've have made reservations at a restaurant instead of just making lasagna, salad, and some fruit. Is it too late to—"
"Phoebe."
"I should borrow Liam's car. Do you think he's awake? Unless he's studying for--"
"Phoebe!" I exclaim which causes her to flinch at the tone. "You're overthinking again."
"I'm just..." Phoebe shook her head before she sat down on her bed.
"Scared? Nervous?" I asked as I got up from my bed and sat down beside her in which Phoebe slowly nods in response. "Phoebe, you already know Hayden likes you so why are you nervous?"
"It's our first real date. We tried having others but they didn't exactly go so well. I don't want to screw this one up so everything has to be perfect."
"If it makes you feel better, I'm positive Hayden feels nervous about the whole thing as well." Allison assured with a small smile. "Trust me."
"And it's completely normal that not every first date is perfect. It's your first one." I emphasized as I nudged her side. "Take it from me, I tried planning out my first date for Allison on Halloween but it didn't exactly go to plan. We ended up going to a party but then...some of the Oni showed up and marked some of our friends."
"Oh! Is that why you have the backwards five tattoo behind your ear?" Phoebe asked and I nod. "But then what happened after?"
"She surprised me with another date the next day." Allison answered with a small smile. "Small picnic in the backyard. It was the best date I've ever had."
"Really?" Her brows furrowed in confusion before they turned to me. "That simple?"
"I mean I added fairy lights...on trees. Nothing too big."
"Huh...I think that just gave me an idea. Thanks for the advice guys but I got to get going." Phoebe grinned as she stood up from her spot. "Have fun hanging out with Stiles and Scott tonight!"
My eyes widen in realization. "Wait, what? That's tonight?"
"Good luck with that!" She calls out before she walked out of the room. "I'll text you when we get there and when we leave!"
"Man, I remember panicking about our first date." I lean my head against Allison's shoulder, hearing the door shut downstairs. "Isaac had to give me two pep talks before you came over that night. I'm glad I got over that awkward stage."
"Liv, you sometimes stay in that stage."
"Rude." I mutter before I get off of the bed. "Allison, you know that as much as I want to continue—"
"I know, I know." She chuckled as she stood up from the bed as well. "The moment pretty much ended once we scarred your sister."
I awkwardly scratch the back of my neck with a sigh. "We probably should have went to your place."
"No, because if you recall, my dad still forces me to keep the door open and still has security cameras installed. Even after he left it under my name." She emphasized. "Remember?"
"I should really look into saving for an apartment." I mutter as I wrap my arms around her waist, sliding my hands under her shirt and mindlessly brush my thumbs on her hips. "We wouldn't have to worry so much."
She tilts her head to the side in confusion. "You're not doing on campus dorms?"
I snort. "If I barely managed to tolerate sharing a room with Phoebe, do you honestly think I can deal with a total stranger? I'll pass." I say which causes her to chuckle. "Besides, I want to experience the feeling of content and security at my own place."
"Really? Taxes and managing money doesn't throw you off?"
I roll my eyes playfully. "Well besides that! But...I totally love the idea of getting to call you to tell you to come over to my place. My apartment."
She chuckled at the emphasis. "Your home."
"I already have my home." I softly answer, brushing some of the strands away from her face. "You're my home."
She starts to smile as she wraps her arms around my neck. "You're my home too." Before I could lean to kiss her, she turns her head to the side and I end up kissing her cheek. "So...what exactly did you order?"
I look over to the package and my eyes widen in realization. "Oh that? I-uh, well..."
"Is it...?" She raised her brow in suspicion and my cheeks instantly flush. "Wow Liv, I didn't take you as the type to—"
"O-Oh god, no!" I stammer which causes her to laugh at my flustered state. "No, no, no. It's a gift for you."
She tilts her head to the side in confusion and I pull away to quickly walk over to the package and grab it from the floor, gesturing for her to sit on the bed.
"This should be the other way around, Liv." She spoke but I quickly shake my head.
"Seeing you happy is the greatest gift I could ever have."
"You're cute." She pecked my lips as she sat down on the bed. Before she could tear off the tape, she looks up at me with a small smile. "Can you help?"
I nod and we both tear off the separate ends of the tape so she could pull open the flaps. She carefully moves aside the bubble wrap inside before her eyes slightly widen at the small frame inside. "I wanted to give this to you for your birthday but something happened with the inscriptions for the constellation so I sent it back." I softly spoke as she took out the frame from the box. "So...happy late birthday and happy half-anniversary?"
"The night she officially became my home." She read from the inscription before her eyes slightly widened. "The date and coordinates...Olivia, did you buy a star?"
I nod with a smile. "I sort of kick myself every day that I asked you to be my girlfriend the same night we were almost buried alive with our parents and ended up asking inside your room, rather than a romantic setting. So...since we can't exactly redo it, what better way would it be to buy you a star? It's the exact constellation that aligned the night I asked you."
Tears begin to brim in her eyes as she shook her head with disbelief. "How the hell am I supposed to top this with my gift for you. You're insane." She chuckled, placing the frame inside the box before she wrapped her arms around her neck. "But it's what makes us work. I love it" She whispered before she pecked my lips. "I love you, I love you, I love you."
I smile against her. "I love you too." I lean down again to reattach our lips and pulls her close to me once more, causing us to lay back down on the bed.
"Baby I-I start my internship with Sheriff Stilinski tonight so..." Allison mumbled as I move down to her neck, nipping delicately as she curled her fingers to tug on my hair. "I-I should really get going."
"Deputy Allison Argent...I like the sound of that already." I playfully hum, earning a small moan to escape from her lips. "then I guess we better make this quick."
Phoebe's POV:
Of course this wouldn't go to plan. Of course Liam's truck had to get a flat tire. It had to be that old!
"What?" I look away from the road and turn to Hayden who leaned against the car.
I quickly shake my head. "Nothing."
She crouches down to my level with a knowing smile. "We probably should have taken my car or yours. Like I said...several times."
"Liam said it's a new car!" I try to defend as she grabbed my hands to pull me to stand. "I thought the trunk bed would be nice for us. I decorated it and everything!"
She raised a brow. "It was new to someone...about twenty years ago." She trails off.
I pull my hands away and walk backwards to the trunk with a playful glare. "It was new to someone twenty years ago." I mock in her voice which causes her to chuckle at my expression.
"Real mature, Jimenez."
I look over to the trunk but my smile drops once I realize there wasn't a jack to lift the car. I reluctantly meet Hayden's eyes once more before I awkwardly scratch the back of my neck.
"Liam didn't put a jack."
Hayden shakes her head with amusement as she walks over to the other end of the truck then lifts up the front bumper with both of her hands. "Grab the spare."
I smile, impressed at her new werewolf strength before I walk back to the trunk. My smile drops again, seeing that there wasn't even a spare tire.
I reluctantly return to the side and Hayden's smirk drops to exasperation once she sees that I didn't have the tire in my hands. "He didn't put a spare, did he?"
"He did not."
She rolls her eyes as she sets the front of the truck back down on the ground before I sadly walk closer to her.
"I'm sorry for ruining the date again." I fiddle with my fingers but within seconds, she interlaces it with hers.
"Hey, you didn't ruin anything." She assures with a smile once I met her eyes. "Besides, we've had worse. Remember the double date?"
I start to smile, remembering the not-so-perfect double date with Corey and Mason where we went to see a movie but had horrible seats since the theater was full and we were forced to sit near the front.
I take a step closer to her. "Valentine's day where our reservations were randomly changed to the next day?"
"Christmas with your family?" She added. "When we did karaoke but your neighbors called in a noise complaint."
I raise a brow. "That time your sister barged in your room and caught us--"
"Please don't say it." She interrupts as she closed her eyes which caused us both to giggle.
I tug my fingers through the loops of her jeans and pull her close to me. "You know, this could be our best date yet." I shrug but her brows furrow in confusion. "Olivia says that the simplest dates are the best ones and honestly, your company alone makes this the best first date I've ever had."
"I'm honored to be your first." She whispers before she wrapped around arms around my neck and leaned in to kiss me. I waste no time into moving my lips against hers, feeling her fingers dig through my hair as I pulled her close to me.
She pulls away to breathe but she looks up in awe as she points to the sky. "Look."
I follow her line of vision and see the green and purple lights across the sky, causing my eyes to widen in awe. "Northern Lights." I whisper and she nods, pulling me close to her. "I'll count this as good karma for us."
"You might be right." She nudges for me to look to the road, seeing as a car driving closer to us from a distance. "Maybe they've got a spare."
She pulls away from my embrace and holds up her hand, waving at the car to stop.
However, the car continued to slowly drive down the road towards us which caused Hayden and I to quickly move to the side so it wouldn't hit us. It continues to pass by without stopping but it eventually bumps into the nearby wooden fence and forced it to stop.
I share a look of concern with Hayden before we cautiously approached the vehicle.
I pull my hand from hers and walk closer to the front, my eyes trailing alongside the shattered windshield where only a jagged frame of the glass remained while the rest was blown out.
No one's inside?
I pull open the door handle to get a better look but my eyes widen slightly, noticing that the passenger's side door had been completely ripped off its hinges.
I reach to the side of the steering wheel and turn the ignition off but from the rear-view mirror, the sight of a terrified younger kid comes into the reflection which causes me to flinch back.
I turn around which instantly confirmed the sight as he quickly scrambled to get out. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, Wait!"
Thankfully before he could get far, Hayden steps in front of him with concern as she place a hand on his arm. "Hey, it's o--"
"Don't let them take me!" The boy frantically pleaded as he clutched onto Hayden's arm. "Don't let them take me too!"
"Phoebe..." Hayden whispered as I worriedly eyed the road the car drove through as the wind continued to ominously blow.
"So much for good karma."

A/N:
hello! again, I just want to say thank you so much for the amount of love you guys have shown for the books ;___; truly can't thank you guys enough for it.
But I also want to say that I changed my mind about the gifs (again LMFAOOAO) and won't add them in the chapters and only in the beginning when you first open the chapter because yall...its so much WORK.
Especially having to pull it straight from a not-so-sketchy site to stream teen wolf, finding the right clip to use, cropping the video to only 3 seconds so it doesn't look so awkward, optimizing it so it can be useable on wattpad, and repeat so on with 238423847 chapters LMAO
BUT! since I won't add alot of gifs like before, I'm extending the word count for the chapters to at least 2500-3000 or something, depending how I like the pacing. (could change!)
Anyway...let me just subtly hint that yall might not like me at a certain point of the story LMAO youll see once I get to it....mwuahahahah.
I hope you guys enjoy the story and have/had an amazing day! Bye!
