Applejack felt someone shaking her. Her head snapped up, her eyes opening. She was a bit confused as everything was blurry. AJ rubbed her eyes, clearing away the sleepiness.

Once her vision was cleared, Applejack looked at her surroundings. It was dark. She was still in the cop car. She noticed someone out of the corner of her eye. AJ groggily glanced up. Jackson stood there, grinning.

"Mornin, sleepyhead. We're at the hospital."

Applejack peered around him. She saw the paramedics wheeling Rainbow into the hospital. Applejack suddenly became more aware and alert. She unbuckled her seatbelt, climbing out of the cop car. Jackson shut the car door.

They met up with the other girls and the detective.

"Thank you, detective." Jackson said. "We wouldn't have been able to find er without cha."

The detective smiled. "No problem. I'm just glad Rainbow is safe. Now, she needs to be treated. She looked pretty bad when we found her. She was tied up to a pole pretty tightly and unconscious. We could tell that she had been beaten pretty badly. Poor girl."

Applejack nodded, not trusting her voice.

"Cmon." Jackson said to her. "Let's go inside."

Applejack nodded. The girls followed Jackson into the hospital. It felt refreshing when the cool air conditioned breeze hit them as they walked into the emergency room entrance. The girls headed straight for the waiting area. Jackson went to the desk to tell the woman at the desk to alert them when Rainbow Dash could be seen.

Applejack sighed as she sank into her chair. She was so mentally and physically exhausted from the stress of the situation.

"You okay?"

AJ looked to her left. Sunset Shimmer sat down beside her, a concerned look on her face. Applejack sighed again.

"Yeah. Just worried. She looked really bad."

"I'm sure she'll be okay." Sunset assured her friend.

"Yeah." Twilight agreed. "She's strong. She'll be okay in a few weeks and hopefully back to her regular self."

"The poor dear." Rarity shook her head. "I can't imagine what those monsters did to her during her time in captivity. She's a real fighter."

Applejack couldn't help but smile. Rainbow was a tough little cookie. Or so Rainbow liked to tell people. Applejack wasn't so sure about that in this situation. She'd have to wait and see how Rainbow was when she woke up.

Hours ticked by. The girls took turns going to the bathroom if they needed it. They had to get something to eat as well since they had spent the whole night with the cops. They lazed around, watching YouTube videos and movies on their phones to pass the time.

They were in the middle of watching an episode of Pretty Little Liars when they saw someone standing in front of them. They looked up and saw a doctor standing there. The teens and Jackson sat up, waiting to hear what he had to say.

"Are you Rainbow Dash's family??."

The girls looked at each other. Technically they were. Rainbow didn't have anyone else but Strike and them.

"I'm one of her emergency contacts." Jackson informed, surprisingly calm. "How is she??."

"She's awake now. Pretty bruised up and we had to check her out and give a physical exam. No broken bones or anything, but we did find some lashes on her legs and back."

AJ gasped quietly. No. Not her Rainbow.

"She was also starved and extremely dehydrated, so we put in an IV fluid. She's patched up and resting. She should heal in a few weeks and we'll keep her here for a few days. But there's something wrong with her behavior."

"What do you mean??." Jackson asked.

"Well." The doctor said. "As soon as she saw her uncle she cowered in fear. She didn't want any of the male doctors near her and went nearly hysterical."

The girls looked at each other but said nothing.

"She then covered herself under the sheets, refusing to let anyone touch her. She's obviously like this because of the trauma she experienced. She kept saying that she wanted Applejack."

Applejack's eyes widened. "That's me." She stepped up.

The doctor nodded. "Follow me, please." He instructed.

Applejack looked at her dad. Jackson nodded. Applejack followed the door over to a door. They walked through the doorways and down a few hallway. They came to the hospital rooms.

The doctor stopped in front of one of them. He pulled the door open.

"She's afraid of me." The doctor said. "But I don't need to see her right now. So you can see her and try to get her out of hiding. We'll have a specialist come in shortly to talk to her."

Applejack nodded. "Alright. Thank ya so much."

The man smiled and nodded. Applejack turned to the glass door. She walked into the room. The sound of the tv and a heart monitor was heard. Applejack opened a curtain. She saw Rainbow Dash. Rainbow tore her eyes away from the tv screen and looked at Applejack.

She gasped and sat up. Applejack jogged over to Rainbow's beside. She sat down on the bed and embraced Rainbow Dash in her arms. She stroked her hair gently. Rainbow hugged back tightly, already tearing up.

"Shhhh." Applejack said. "Ah'm here now."

Applejack felt as if all the stress she'd been carrying around for three days suddenly lifted off of her. Now that she had Rainbow in her arms, she was okay.

Applejack pulled away and looked at Rainbow. Rainbow looked a mess. Her head was messy, her face had white medical bandages on her eye and cheek. Her lips were chap. Dark circles were under her eyes.

"Are you okay??."

Rainbow pursed her lips together. She shook her head.

"How do you feel??." AJ asked. M

Rainbow shrugged. AJ noticed the lack of verbal response from her girlfriend.

"Why don't cha speak??."

Rainbow shook her head, looking away.
AJ took her hand.

"Alright. You don't have ta. Talk when you're ready to."

Rainbow tugged AJ's sleeve. AJ knew what she wanted. AJ wrapped her arms around Rainbow's waist, pulling her in for a hug. Rainbow Dash rested her head on her shoulder. Applejack stroked her hair. They stated like that for what seemed like hours.

"You're alright, baby." Applejack soothed. "You're safe now. Those men can't hurt cha. The police caught em and arrested them. You're okay."

Rainbow nodded, understanding. She closed her eyes.

"Applejack. I'm still scared."

AJ looked at her. She hadn't expected her to confess that. Rainbow didn't meet her gaze. Applejack just wrapped arm around her securely.

"You should tell the lady that'll be coming in here soon ta talk ta you. You and her can talk about anything you want to. You can tell her anything and everything."

Rainbow shrugged, her bruised hands playing with the white sheets on top of her. She said nothing. AJ took her silence for uncertainty. She knew Rainbow had been through a lot. A hell lot. Now she afraid of adults. That was a huge problem. Something had happened to her while she was held hostage those three days. AJ knew it was bad.

But she had to stay positive if she was gonna help Rainbow recover from her trauma.

This was gonna be quite an adventure she wish they didn't have to go on. But for Rainbow, it was worth it.
