Applejack walked down the hall, her teammates behind her. She adjusted her sports jacket and smiled.

"Yo AJ. You started the reading for english??".

"What readin??", Applejack asked.

"We had to read a book with someone and then write the experience you had with them. Each week we read a chapter".

Applejack groaned.

"I don't have time fir readin. But okay. I'll do it. So who's your partner??".

Her teammate smiled. "Flash. You gotta find a partner in class soon. Gotta go".

Applejack waved as they walked away. Suddenly she bumped into someone. The person fell to the floor. Applejack landed on top of them.

"Oh sorry!!. I wasn't watching where I was going", a voice said.

Applejack got up. She saw a girl sitting there. "I'm really sorry".

She gathered up her things. Applejack bent down and helped her pick up her stuff.

"Here".

The girl turned to her and froze. Her eyes widened.

"Oh my gosh".

"What's wrong??", Applejack asked.

The girl shook her head. Applejack slowly handed her her stuff. The two stared at eachother. The girl broke the eye contact.

"Sorry again", she said. "Are you okay??".

Applejack nodded. "Are you alright??".

The nodded. "Well gotta go".

She hurried down the hall. Applejack watched her leave. Adjusted her jacket and bag she walked to class.

Walking in she looked around. She saw everyone in pairs, reading. That was probably the book they were suppose to read.

"Hi Applejack".

The girl turned around and saw her teacher, Ms.Cheerliee.

"Who's your partner", she asked.

"I don't have one yet", Applejack replied.

"Well find one soon".

Applejack nodded. The teacher walked away. Applejack sat down at her desk. Looking around she saw everyone in pairs, well almost.

She spotted a girl in the corner, alone. The blonde recognized her as the girl she bumped into just minutes ago.

"Okay then".

Applejack had never noticed her in the class but now that she had..... she had to admit, she was cute.

Grabbing her book she walked over to her.
"Hey", she called. The girl looked up. Her eyes widened.

"Uh yeah??".

"You don't happen to have a partner, do ya??".

The girl shook her head. Applejack smiled a bit.

"Wanna be partners??".

The girl bit her lip, thinking. She nodded shyly. Applejack pulled a chair out and sat.
"So we gotta read this book, a chapter a week, and then write down our experience with eachother??", Applejack asked.

The girl nodded. She pushed her glasses up. Applejack sat back.

"You don't talk much, do ya??".

"Don't have anyone to talk to".

Applejack ' eyes widened.

"You finally talked".

The girl looked at her hands.

"Class??".

Applejack and the girl turned and looked their teacher.

"From now on you'll have to do this in your own time out of school. Class dismissed".

The two looked at eachother. The girl began to pack up.

"Hey uh you have a phone??".

The girl froze and looked up. She nodded.

"Well give me your number and I'll give you mine so we can text and then maybe go over to our houses ta do the readin'. Okay??".

The girl nodded and took out her phone. She handed it to Applejack.

She put in her number and the girl did the same.

Applejack grabbed her stuff.

The girl smiled and began to walk out.

Suddenly Apejack said, "wait!!".

The girl turned around. The jock walked up to her.

"Ah never got your name".

"Rainbow Dash".

She turned and walked away. Applejack stood there for a moment.

"Rainbow Dash. Nice name for a cute girl".
