"Do you have to??", Rainbow whined.

Applejack smiled. "Yeah. Ta visit mah fam. You gotta stay here".

Rainbow pouted and hugged her.

"Noooo", she whined. The teen didn't want Applejack to leave her.

"I'm gunna miss yoooouuuu".

Applejack laughed. "You'll be fine babe. It'll only be a few days. Ah'll call ya every night ta tuck you in an get cha ta sleep".

Rainbow sighed. She rested her head on Applejack's chest.

"Fine. You can go".

Applejack giggled. "Are you givin me permission ta leave??".

Rainbow sadly nodded. Applejack sensed her sadness and frowned. She lifted Rainbow's face so she was lookimg at her.

"You'll be just fine baby. Smile fir me".

The blonde poked her nose. Rainbow smiled a little. Just a smidge. Applejack thought. Drastic times calls for drastic measures. The blonde smirked, her fingers, going up Rainbow's sides. Rainbow realized what was going on. But before she could say anything, Applejack grabbed her with one arm. She tickled the shorter girl.

"Okay stop", Rainbow laughed. She cackled loudly, the sound bouncing off the walls of their house.

Applejack was happy to hear her laughing. She stopped and wrapped her arms around Rainbow's waist. The girl's laughter reduced to giggles.

"Okay. I'm good now. Thanks AJ", she said.

Applejack smiled. "Don't be all pouty on me now. Ah want cha happy, like you are 80 percent of the time".

Rainbow raised an eyebrow. "80??".

Applejack laughed. "The other times you're sick or on your period or in a bad mood or upset about somethin. But chur happy mist of the time. Which is good cause ah like mah girlfriend happy. You look beautiful happy, just like every other time".

Rainbow giggled. "Sap".

Applejack kissed her forehead. "Ah'm your sap".

Applejack picked up her suitcase. She put it in the trunk. Turning she looked at Rainbow Dash. Rainbow had her arms crossed and looking at the floor.

Applejack frowned.

"Babe", she said. "Please don't be like this".

Rainbow sighed.

"I've never been away from you before. My brain just likes to think of all the bad things that could happen while you're gone. You could get into an accident or get hurt, or you die and I'm not there".

Rainbow felt her heart race. "Or you'll meet someone".

Applejack shoved her hand over her mouth.

"Okay. Calm down worry pants".

Taking her hand on off Applejack placed it to Rainbow's cheek.

"Everything's gunna be fine. Ah'll come back in one piece. Now, ah want you to do something fir me".

Rainbow looked up at her and nodded.

"Ah want cha ta wind your music box every night. Okay??. Your favorite song. So you can go ta sleep since ah won't be there".

Rainbow nodded. She hugged her girlfriend once again.

"You sure you want to go??", she asked.

Applejack smiled. "You'll be fine and yes. Ah love you".

"I love you too".

Applejack held her for a bit, smoothing her hair. She pulled away.

"I gotta go now".

She gave Rainbow a kiss on the lips and on the cheek.

She held her hand before picking the girl up. She placed her down a feet away from the car.

"Bye", Rainbow said quietly.

"I love you".

Applejack smiled. "Love ya too baby".

She got into her car, waved and drove off.

Rainbow sighed. She slowly turned and walked back into the house as if she were in a trance.

She entered the house and shut the door. It was quiet. Applejack left. Oh god she was gunna die.

"Put out of my misery".

Rarity rolled her eyes.

"Darling, it's only been one day".

Rainbow sighed. "Well one day too many. Shoot me please".

Rainbow was missing Applejack like crazy already. Night had fallen. Rainbow was sprawled on her and Applejack's bed. She sighed.

"I feel so lonely. Now I know what Juliet felt like when Romeo had to leave her. Parting is such sweet sorrow".

Rarity got up.

"Well Shakespeare. I've got to go home. Will you make it through the night??".

Rainbow nodded. "Yeah".

Rarity smiled. "Me and the girls will be over here tomorrow".

Rainbow smiled and waved. She showed Rarity out and closed the door with a soft click.

She headed up to her room. Time for bed. Just like she promised Applejack had called. Rainbow answered immediately.

"Oh my god, I nearly died. You are evil!!", Rainbow yelled.

"You were fine. Now, ready fir bed??", Applejack asked.

"Uh huh. In my pj's and everythang", Rainbow replied.

She heard Applejack laugh. She sighed.

"I miss you already. This is gunna be as long week".

"Rainbow. You ain't gunna die and ah can here the pout. Don't pout".

Rainbow pulled her bottom lip in. How Applejack did that, she had no clue.

"Now wind the music box".

Rainbow got up. She must've not seen the shoes on the floor.

"Ah!!".

She tripped onto the floor.

"Ow!!".

"What happened??".

"I fell. My shoes tried to kill me".

She heard Applejack groan.

"You're gunna die before the day ends".

Rainbow giggled. She got up and walked over to her dresser. A fancy green and gold music box was on top. The teen picked it up and walked over to the bed. She sat down and sighed.

"Winding it up".

Rainbow put the phone on speaker and put it down. She winded up the music box. The melody rang throughout the room softly. Rainbow turned the light off and got into bed. She winded it up again. For good measures.

Rainbow laid down and smiled.

"There".

She could hear Applejack humming along. Rainbow closed her eyes.

"Goodnight baby".

Rainbow smiled. "Goodnight. Love you".

"Ah love you more".

Rainbow slowly drifted off to sleep, with the melody and Applejack's voice in her dreams.

Rainbow sighed. She stared boredly at the tv. Only Celestia knows how long it has been. Rainbow didn't keep track. She was too bored to. She missed Applejack like never before. It was driving her crazy. She decided that she didn't want watch tv.

Turning it off she decided to play on her DSI. She beat the game ending with a victory dance.

"Woohoo!!", she yelled. Rainbow jumped around.

Suddenly she felt like listening to music. She got out her phone. She got on YouTube and looked up some of her favorite songs. She spent the day jumping around and singing out loud. She was having her own concert.

(This part has the song Here's to Us by Victoria Justice...... just in case you wanna know)

"I'm a player. I'm a hater. But I swear you would never know. Caused I've got a smile on and an ex con, that just got of parole. I could've been a contender, a pretender. Like Brando play the role. But I'm not, so what??. And that's just how it goooes".

Rainbow nodded her head, hairbrush in hand. Yup, typical rainbow.

"Yeah!!".

Rainbow nodded her head, smiling.

"Oooooh. Here's to us. Uh oh. Here's to us!!. Here's to, never winning first place. Here's to, crying on your birthday. Here's to, all the bad first dates. Here's to, every single heartbreak. Here's to, raining on your on parade. Here's to showing up anyway!!".

Rainbow jumped around, into the song.

"Here's to us. Here's to us. Here's to".

She spun around.

"Here's to the Mondays".

Rainbow was out of breath. She whooped and looked up. She let out a scream, eyes widening. Applejack stood there smiling. The blonde started to clap.

"That was amazin".

Rainbow smiled and ran up to her. She nearly tackled Applejack. The blonde teen caught her and hugged her.

"You're here!!".

Applejack laughed. "Yup. Ah'm back. Glad ta see you doin alright".

Rainbow gasped. "It was torture!!".

She pulled away. "Don't do that again. I was bored out of my mind. That's what got drove me to give a concert in the first place".

Applejack laughed. "Yeah. Ah can see".

She wrapped her arms around her girlfriend. She kissed her forehead.

"Ah missed you Rainbow. Alot".

Rainbow snuggled into the embrace. "I missed you more", she said.

Applejack smiled. "Ah know". She pulled away and looked down at her.

"So. When were ya gunna tell me that you were a singer??. That was great".

Rainbow blushed. "That was just messing around. I-I can't sing".

Applejack smiled. "Trust me. You can. Now turn on the next song".

Rainbow beamed. She walked over to her phone and flipped on random. A song came on. She smiled. You're the reason why by Victoria justice.

She and Applejack sang along to the lyrics. They held hands the entire time, laughing and dancing around. Just happy to be together again.

That night they watched a movie in bed. With buttery popcorn and candy.
Rainbow snuggled into Applejack's arms. The lights were off. She yawned.

"I missed you".

Applejack smiled. "Ah missed you too".

She held Rainbow close, petting her hair. Applejack was happy to be with her Rainbow again.

"Don't do that again", Rainbow yawned. "Don't leave me again".

Applejack smiled. "If ah say okay will ya stop pout'n??".

"How do you do that??. Do you have super pout seeing powers??", Rainbow asked.

"Maybe. Go ta sleep".

Rainbow smiled and laid her head down. Applejack felt her relax. "Ah love you", she whispered.

"I love you too", she heard Rainbow say.

In a matter of minutes Rainbow was snoring. Applejack smiled to herself. With her baby in her arms, sound asleep and happy, all was right in the world. As it should be.
