Applejack's POV:

There was a knock on my door. "Come in", I called.

A maid came in. "Your father wants you down for supper. He also wants to talk to you".

I nodded and got up. "Thank you".

I left my room and went down to the dining hall. Dad was sitting there already. I sat down next to him.

We were serves our dinner. "Thank you", my dad said with a smile.

The maid bowed and left.

"So I was told you wanted to talk to me", I said.

I ate my dinner.

"Yes. I've noticed you haven't been able to find a suitable gentleman to take the thrown with you. So next week we will throw a ball and there you will meet a prince I want you to meet. He is very charming".

My look up at my dad. Is he being serious??.

"You're joking".

"I don't joke on this matter", he said.

"You may not have noticed but my health is deteriorating and I fear I may fall ill soon and I want you to have someone to take care of you".

What is I want to take care of someone??.

"Father. I know you want me to find a husband to take over..... but I cant".

Dad's face looked as if I spoke in tongues. Confused.

"Why not??".

Sighing I said, "I like girls".

Dad sat there for a moment. Ahm sure he was thinking or somethin. My anxiety was at a new high. What would he say??.

"Okay. Well find you a princess".

My eyes widened. Oh my gosh. I got up and hugged him.

"Thank you Dad".

He hugged me back.

"All I want is for you to be safe and happy".

I sat down and continued to eat my dinner.
"So the ball will happen next week. You don't have school since it will be spring break".

Every year we have a ball in the castle. It's called the Grand gala. It's the best ball around.

"We'll invite every eligible girl and you will meey them. Hopefully that girl you have your eyes on shows up". He winked and stood up.

"I told the schools and towns about the ball. Fliers will be put up and it'll be all over the news. There's no way she won't know about it".

I smile. I like this idea. Maybe I'll finally get her name of she shows up. But it won't matter if I don't as long as she shows up.
