Beauty and the Beast part 7
Applejack smiled. The past few months have been a blast. She beast was not bad as she thought. The beast was really sweet and kind. Though she did get angry easily.
Applejack didn't blame her and she didn't mind. She had grown to get use to it. Though the beast never got angry around Applejack. She guessed so the beast wouldn't scare her off again or something. But it was fine.
"Let's go play in the snow", she said, touching the other girl's arm.
The beast looked at her, a raised eyebrow.
"Outside??".
Applejack nodded. "Yeah. We can play in the front yard in the snow. It'll be fun. C'mon".
The beast looked out the window wearily at the wintery world. Applejack frowned.
"Is somethin' wrong??. You've been in the snow before, right??".
"Not since.......", the beast said before trailing off. She shook her head.
"Um. Not in years. I haven't left this castle for anything".
Applejack's eyes widened.
"What??. How did ja get food??".
"My servants slash friends".
Applejack looked at her.
"C'mon. Let's go outside. Please. It's really beautiful outside in this time of year".
The beast sighed, an unsure look on her face. Applejack touched her shoulder. She smiled.
"Ah'll protect ya".
Both laughed. The beast smiled.
"Fine. Let's go".
Applejack grabbed her cloak off a hook. The coat rack wrapped the cloak around her shoulders.
"Thank you", Applejack said.
She turned and looked at the beast.
She reached out her hand. The beast stared at it.
"What??", she asked, clearly not understanding.
Applejack chuckled.
"Take mah hand. Let's go".
The beastly girl slowly reached her clawed hand out and into Applejack's. She was surprised when Applejack didn't pull away. Her hand was warm.
The two walked down to the front doors of the castle. Applejack unlocked then and swung them open. It was snowing. She smiled and stepped outside. The snowflakes fell gracefully to the ground. It was white. White everywhere.
Applejack looked back at the beast.
"Ah chu comin??".
The beast nodded. She slowly walked outside. She jumped when a wind blew by. Applejack felt sorry for her. She hadn't been in snow before. Walking over to her, Applejack looked at her.
"Cmon. That was just the wind".
The beast stayed by her side, looking around in awe.
"Woah. This is amazing".
Applejack nodded. "Yeah. It is".
The beast suddenly heard a crunch.and jumped, clinging onto Applejack. Looking down, she saw the snow. Applejack chuckled.
"That's snow. It's suppose ta crunch like that. Don't be scared".
The beast pulled away, and crossed her arms.
"I'm not scared".
Applejack smirked. "Alright alright. Fine".
She slowly bent down and took a handful of snow. The beast had her back to her. Applejack walked up behind her. Reaching he hand over the girl's head, she let the snow go.
Rainbow jumped in fright. She whipped around and looked at Applejack.
"Why??".
The beast shook her head, the snow falling out of her hair.
"Now my hair's wet", she whined. "Thanks alot freckles".
Applejack raised an eyebrow. "Freckles??".
The beast girl nodded. "My nickname for you. Cuz you have freckles. And you can't stop me from calling you that".
Applejack smirked. She hurled another snowball at her, which hit her in the chest. The beast gasped. She laughed.
"You're gunna get it".
Rainbow gathered up a handful of snow. Applejack turned and ran, laughing. The two ran around yard, throwing snowballs at eachother.
Applejack muffled a giggled as she watched the other girl in the snow. Applejack walked up to her and knelt down just as a bird landed in front of the them. Applejack looked at the beast. The bird hopped onto her arm. The beast girl froze and stared at the small robin.
There's something sweet and almost kind. But she was mean and she was coarse and unrefined. But she's steered and so unsure. I wonder why I didn't see it there before.
The beast looked at the bird then at Applejack. She and Applejack made eye contact.
She glanced this way, I thought I saw.
Applejack smiled. He rested her hand on the beast's hand and pushed herself to a standing and walked away. The beast looked at her hand. She frowned and shook her head.
And when we touched she didn't shudder at my claw. No it can't be. I'll just ignore. But then she's never looked at me that way before.
Applejack walked behind a tree and leaned her back on his.
Neeeew and a bit alarming. Who have ever thought th at this could beeee??.
Applejack peeked out from behind. She watched the other girl smiling at the birds th at were walking around the yard.
True, that she's no prince charming. But there's something in her that I simply didn't see.
Runsworth, Travier, and Ms.Pots and her teacup son, Chip, were watching it all from the window. They watched the two have another snowball fight, running around and laughing.
"Well who have thought??", Runsworth said.
Mrs.Pot lit up. "Well lo indeed".
"And who'd have guessed. They'd come together on their own??".
"It's so peculiar, why you see", the three sang together.
"A few days more. There may be something there that wasn't there before".
Travier sighed. "Well perhaps there's something there that wasn't there before".
"There may be something there that wasn't there before", Mrs.Pot chimed.
"What's there mama??", Chip asked his mother.
Mrs.Pot smiled at the small teacup.
"I'll tell you when you're older", she replied smiling.
-------------------------------------
"What's goin on??", Applejack laughed.
The beast led he down the hallway by the hands.
"Just hang on. I wanna show you show you something".
The clawed girl stood in front of a door.
"You have to close you eyes".
Applejack gave her a look.
"It's a surprise".
Applejack sighed and closed her eyes. The beast waved her hands in front of Applejack's face to make sure. When she was certain, she opened the doors and looked around. She led Applejack into the room.
"Can ah open them yet??".
"Nope. Keep em close freckles".
The beast walked over to the WI down and opened the curtains, light flooding into the room.
"Now. Open".
Applejack opened her eyes. Her eyes widened. She looked around smiling.
A room of books. The room was so big. It was filled from top to bottom with books on every shelf.
"Wow. This is amazing".
Applejack looked at the shorter girl. She smiled.
"This is all for you".
Applejack gasped and smiled. She pulled her in for a hug. The beast was unsure what to do. Slowly she hugged the human teen back.
"Thanks so much. Ah love it".
Applejack pulled away and smiled at her. The beast smiled back.
"You're welcome".
Applejack felt her heart beat faster at that smile. The way her eyes lit up made Applejack's heart melt. Her eyes were so beautiful. What??. No, she couldn't think that. She couldn't be in love with her. It was impossible.
The other girl, on the other hand was falling for Applejack hard. She couldn't help it. Applejack was beautiful and kind and amazing.
Her heart sank. She had a sense that their time together was running out. This saddened her greatly but just enjoyed the moment as the two sat on the chairs. Applejack opened the book and read to her.
She smiled. She felt happy with Applejack. She hoped that Applejack would stay with her forever, but...... she knew better.
