I'm not going to lie, I almost died like ten times from near-death experiences, such as narrowly avoiding crashing into chunks of space rock and similar. What can I say? I've never left the planet before. The no gravity thing was cool at first but turned less cool when the stuff in the backseat floated past me and I got blinded by bread. (Oh yeah, I forgot to mention - there was food in the backseat. The owner of the ship probably went to the store or something.)

After three days of floating bread I somehow managed to land without anyone noticing and destroyed the spaceship. You might be thinking, Why would you do that? Now you can't get off the planet! Please note that I wasn't planning on leaving anytime soon or, you know, ever. I had law enforcement from at least one planet on me (depending on how the others would respond to my stabbing since knives aren't that important to them), I can't leave any evidence, every vehicle has a tracker and I can't have you guys finding a spaceship since you don't know about us and the conspiracy theorists would go wild. (Just in case you're wondering, which your probably not, spaceships have a self destruct option which causes them to essentially fall apart into teeny tiny little pieces and then promptly turn to dust. I have no clue how, but it's a thing.)

I found an apartment as soon as possible. I couldn't afford the rent by myself but luckily three other people moved in with me. We lived together for three months, happily lying to each other about who we are. Healthy relationships, am I right?

I should probably tell you more about them.

Eddie's not from that far away - Mars. Well, he was born there. His species is actually from a planet far far FAR away and they just colonized Mars. The other species didn't exactly like that since the planet is so close to Earth, but their camouflage technology is on another level and they hide from the robots you send up there just fine.

Anyway, Eddie grew up on Mars and by 'grew up' I mean spent the first 50 years of his life there. For how long they live, his species grows up extremely fast (in approximately ⅒ of their life). By their standards Eddie left home at a very young age, kind of like if a human moved out at 18. He doesn't have the best relationship with his parents because in their opinion he's too mild. His kind are big on fighting and such while Eddie will jump out of his skin at a sudden movement and probably has social anxiety. In the three months we've lived together I've probably heard him say a total of thirty words (including his backstory) before he really started talking to the rest of us.

In one of our weird alien conversations we had after we came clean he said that the weirdest thing on Earth for him was probably mirrors. I don't know why his kind don't have them but that's not really the point. Honestly, his reaction when he first looked into a mirror should have tipped me off that he wasn't from around here. If I remember correctly he fell into the bathtub and almost broke his neck, which probably gave him a permanent fear of bathrooms.

Eddie also has a love for books. In the three months we've lived together he's probably read at least five different book series, including Harry Potter, which I actually started reading because it seemed interesting, Percy Jackson, Dune and the entire Famous Five collection (consisting of no less than 21 volumes, although they are very thin).

I don't know what else to say about him, except that he loves chocolate and seems to be immune to all earthly illnesses. You could be thinking Oh, that's cool., but it's actually a lot cooler than that because the human immune system is the most resilient in the known universe and the fact that Eddie can't get sick points to a mutation causing his immune system to be a lot stronger than it usually would be. Just to put things in perspective: all non-human races have a saying that if it makes a human sick, it's probably going to kill you. The side of me that lives for science demanded I get my hands on his DNA and start testing it, but the side of me with morals smacked it in the face and told it to shut up and go back to sleep.

This ending is so clunky I want to set it on fire and throw it out the window :)
But I made another part :3
(Also, just a note on the whole immune system stuff: I have not researched if there's a possibility for such a thing as a mutation that makes the immune system more resilient to illnesses of any kind, so don't believe a word of it. But this is fiction anyway so idk why I'm even putting this here)
