ＰＥＲＳＯＮＡＬＩＴＹ
To others, Soren seems mysterious and emotionless. His facial expressions never seem to give away what he's feeling and his fearlessness makes his peers believe he truly feels nothing, not even fear. Soren isn't quote verbal either so he doesn't voice out his feelings and people around him are always guessing what he's thinking. In reality, he acts distant because he never developed good social skills growing up. Soren is socially awkward and has severe trust issues due to his past, always suspicious that people have an ulterior motive. Due to this he can act quite cold and come off as rude without meaning to.

Unfortunately, his aloof personality makes some people believe he thinks they are better than them and this usually leads to them challenging him. Soren is in no way arrogant but he's confident in himself and his abilities. He know's what he's capable of and won't hesitate to defend himself. Although he is quiet, Soren isn't a pushover and will firmly stand up for himself and other he sees are being treated unfairly. On occasions he does defend someone, he gets quite embarrassed when they try to thank him so he just quietly mumbles "No problem" and quickly walks away.

Secretly, Soren is a sweet, shy, and calm person. Not many people see that side of him but if you manage to become his friend, he'll swear loyalty to you. He's a super softie and the kind of person who'll bake cookies for his friends or stop to pet a cute dog. He's a genuine person who's honest with his feelings when he's around people he trusts and finds it hard to lie to them. It takes a lot to get Soren angry as he's usually a pacifist and tries to dissolve conflict by using words first before fists. When he does get mad or shows someone his softer side, he doesn't know how to process those emotions so he tries to bottle them inside. Sometimes his emotions get the best of him and seem to overwhelm to the point where he doesn't know what to do. When it gets to that point Soren trains to clear his head.

- vegetation manipulation: Soren can manipulate, grow, and shape any type of vegetation. He can only control and grow plants that are already growing within the area and the larger the plant grows, the slower it grows and the more energy it takes out of him. He can control many small plants at the same time but only a few large plants at the same time.

- seismic sense: he can detect vibrations in the ground through his feet which allows him to perceive objects, people, and other aspects of his environment. He can only sense things up to 50 meters and can only use seismic sense when he's barefoot.

- shapeshifting: Soren inherited shapeshifting from his mom and he holds this ability dear to his heart because it's one of the only things he have left of her. He can only change small parts of his appearance like the shape of his ears or the colours of his eyes and can only change one aspect at a time.

Throughout his life, Soren has been plagued by betrayal and has developed severe trust issues. Up until the age of five, he was raised happily by his two loving parents and they always told him that they would always love him no matter what. This ended when his mother died of a rare, incurable magical disease and at his young age, Soren couldn't fully understand it and saw his mother's death as abandonment. Stricken by grief, Soren's father took his mother's death the hardest and they grew distant from each other. His father barely ever spoke to him and even to this day they have a tense relationship. Soren saw this as another betrayal because he wasn't even sure if his father loved him anymore.

Once he entered school, Soren had trouble making friends until a seemingly harmless boy asked if he could sit with him at lunch. His new friend was very outgoing and was likes by everyone, it seemed as if he could do no wrong. One day, the two of them were taking care of the class pet fish when Soren's friend accidentally knocked over the tank, killing the fish. Instead of owning up to his mistake he blamed it on Soren even though he would never do such a thing. Everyone else believed him and for the rest of his school years before transferring to Magus Academy, Soren was bullied treated as an outcast. He eventually dropped out of school to be homeschooled by his father who also taught him how to be a warrior. Due to his past experiences, Soren doesn't believe anyone would ever want to be genuine friends with him and is wary that everyone who talks to him has an ulterior motive.
