Backstory: Kieran turned out as a product of his environment. He is the way he is because of his abusive father. His mother disappeared when he was very young and he grew up with majority of his childhood without her. Sometimes he even doubts if he ever met his mother but he does have recollections of her being there even he was a toddler. To this day, he is still unsure of the reason behind his mother's disappearance. He doesn't know if she left or if something worse had happened, like his father killing her.

Kieran's father was a cruel and violent man who was more of an abuser to his son than a father. Markus would inflict pain on him as punishment when he disobeyed him or made a mistake. The worst part is that Markus actually enjoyed torturing his son which in turn led Kieran to have violent tendencies as well. However Kieran doesn't believe there is anything wrong with his childhood and thinks he's completely normal.
