He never would forgive Haley for what she did. He will never forgive her for kissing his brother, never forgive her for stringing her along and breaking his heart in the process.

His parents had always told him that actions had consequences and right now, he was suffering the consequences.

Haley had stopped coming by the house, a request made by his parents and somehow Matt didn't care.

Days passed, and Haley blew up his phone with an apology after apology. He stopped reading them after the fifth message.

Heartbreak stung, but betrayal hurt even more.

Haley tried to initiate conversations at school but he didn't care for them. He didn't care for what came out of her mouth.

He dismissed every conversation with a one-word answer and when her friends came to confront him, he became the person he used to despise. He was cold, rude, and cruel.

His eyes darkened when Olivia confronted him.

" I know what she did was horrible. But please she's been your best friend since middle school. And high school is ending, you guys won't see each other anymore. Please at least say goodbye to her."

Matt slammed his locker closed and stalked towards Olivia.

" I don't care if I see her again. I don't care if she's miserable because I've been miserable for years and what did she do? String me along." He growled.

He glanced up just to see Haley at the end of the hallway. She looked so sad.

He narrowed his eyes, Even after everything. All I want is for you to stop looking so sad and smile.

" Just leave me alone." He said and turning to leave the other way.
