Jupiter sat there and for once in his life. He didn't know what to do. He thought that he could contain the issues but clearly, he couldn't.

His thoughts drifted back to Haley, there truly was no way out of this situation. If they stayed together he could be hurting one of the most important people in his life, if they decided to stay separated. Haley would again be heartbroken and this time Matt wouldn't be able to save her.

He deserved this, he thought. Perhaps Matt was right. Maybe somewhere in the last two years he found satisfaction in having Haley.

He felt someone sit down next to him and for a second he hoped it was Matt and that he came back to actually talk.

" Hey." Haley said softly.

" How'd you find me?"

" Matt brought me here a few weeks ago. He said that it was a reminder that we were growing up."

" We are. I remember the first time we discovered this place when you guys were in eighth grade. Everything was so much easier then. You showed me how everyday was a new adventure, how beautiful the world is, and you showed me how much you love Matt."

" Jupiter what are you talking about?"

" He told me that he loves you but I deserve you. But the truth is Matt deserves you. You'll be happier with him." He started to get up.
Don't look back. Don't look back.

" Jupiter stop it....We'll find a way..You don't have to do this. You don't have to be the bigger person in this." She was begging.

" Haley, It's starting to get dark. We should get some rest.

" NO!" She screamed. She grabbed him from behind and he could feel wetness on the back of his shirt.

" Don't leave me again." She whispered.

" Haley. Let go," His voice was strangely even.
" I need you to go ho-"

" No."

Jupiter pried her hands off his waist and turned to face her. Her wrist in his firm grasp.

" Do you see a way out of this? Do you see a future where Matt will ever talk to any of us again?!"

" He has to. He's your brother! Everything's going to work out."

" No it won't. There's no way out of this. It's either me or him. Can you honestly look me in the eye and tell me that you're okay with Matt never speaking to you again? That you would happily give up that friendship to be with me?"

She didn't hesitate, " Yes."

He laughed humorlessly, " You're lying. I know you Haley and you and I both know eventually you'll get over me. But you never want Matt to leave."

" I don't care. Please don't leave me." Her voice came out in whimpers. Her shoulders were shaking and she wiped furiously at her cheeks.

Jupiter's heart broke and he ran his hand through his hair. Don't look back.

" I'm sorry Haley Chen. Do you know what happens after meteors collide? They break into tiny pieces and over time they rebuild themselves."
