" Guess you could say you got a thing for the Pluto brothers. First Jupiter now Matt." Olivia quipped, a playful tease on her lips.

Haley rolled her eyes, " We're just talking. It's not serious."

" I don't know about that."

" Hey." Matt slid into the empty seat beside her. Instinctively his arm went around the back of her seat.

Olivia met her eyes and smiled from behind her cup of coffee.

" Hey. How was your mentoring session?"

It had been three weeks since Haley accepted a date from Matt. The next day he had brought her to the lake that her, Jupiter and Matt frequented as children. It was a fun reminder that they were growing up, he had said. But all it did was remind her of Jupiter and the time he brought her out to the exact spot for their six month anniversary.

The only good thing to come out of this was that Matt stopped attending parties and opted to spend the weekends with her.

" It was good. I think the kids are really starting to warm up to me."

" That's good," Haley said softly and leaned in to kiss him.

Kissing him was like kissing Jupiter and that scared her. It scared her how much he loved her, it scared her how quickly she buried her feelings for Jupiter.

However, while they were okay with PDA clearly Olivia wasn't. She choked on her coffee and squeaked.

" I'll get napkins."

Olivia quickly wiped the dribble of coffee off her chin. " Haley!" She exclaimed.

" Olivia!" She repeated with the same enthusiasm.

She lowered her voice, " You kissed him already."

" Um yeah?"

" You didn't even kiss Jupiter until a month into the relationship. And you won't even tell me you did for like days."

" And?"

" Haley. Are you really going to use your best friend as a rebound?"

" Maybe I've always liked Matt okay?" Lie.

" Or maybe you're just upset that Jupiter cheated on you with a pretty college girl and you want him to hurt like you did."

" You were so happy earlier, teasing me about the Pluto brothers. Like what the hell Olivia?"

She didn't have time to respond because Matt handed her a stack of napkins and asked what was up.

" Nothing," Olivia replied cooly, " I forgot I got an appointment at 4, gotta run."

" Oh okay...Uh we'll see you later?" Matt said.

He turned to her when Olivia not so subtly sent her a glare and walked off.

" So you know how the annual Pluto tradition dinner is like every April right?"

" Yes."

" Wouldyouliketobemydate?"

The Annual Pluto Dinner. The four words she dreaded. Ever since April rolled around, she had been dreading the dinner. But she finally was able to breathe not only two days ago when the last week rolled around. She figured that the Plutos were too busy to entertain a dinner but no it looked like they just postponed it.

Haley had been going to the dinner years before she and Jupiter began dating. But after that, she was always introduced as Jupiter's girlfriend and Matt's friend. And now she didn't even know if the Plutos know about what happened between the three of them.

" Of course, I would love to be your date." Lie

Haley smiled and leaned in for another kiss. But this time she knew she couldn't pretend anymore. Haley Chen could not love Matt Pluto.
