She could remember the first time she ran into Matt Pluto. In fact, she remembers it quite clearly. A month into the new year at Levi Middle School. Eighth grade to be precise.

Matt Pluto was the type of guy to be good at everything and he was. The type with enough charm to make even the cold-hearted melt.

Haley was one of the queen bees around the school. With pin-straight dark locks, large eyes and full lips, she looked exactly like a beautiful porcelain doll. Too bad her personality didn't match. Despite her pretty appearance, she enjoyed running in the hot sun, opting to run the 400 and the 3200.

Running into one of the new kids, quite literally on the track was not one of the things on her do list. Accidentally planting a kiss onto the side of his face was also not on her list.

" Ugh." She groaned before slowly rising to her feet. In front of her was a boy no bigger than she was. He sat up. " Ow." He touched his temple.

She gasped and brought her hands to her mouth. " I am so sorry."

" It's good." He chuckled softly, he ran his fingers through his newly cut hair.

" Oh wow."

" Hm?" He brush off the dust on his shorts and reached his full height.

His cheek glimmered with Miss Pross's glimmer and shine lippie in shade fun and peachy.

" I think I kissed you."

" What?" His hand went to his face, he flushed a light pink.

" Just stand still." She licked her finger. She tried to forget about the fact she had just fallen and that millions of her germs were probably on her tongue now. She strokes his cheek gently, but instead of wiping the sticky shine off his face she only smeared it.

She let out an audible sigh of frustration and brought his face closer to hers. His eyes widen but he didn't make a sound.

Finally satisfied she pulled away.

" Good as new. Oh by the way I'm Haley Chen. Nice to meet you. Usually, I don't kiss anyone before learning their name but you're an exception."

" Matt Pluto." He chuckled.

" Like the planet?"

" Yup. You should meet my brother his name is Jupiter."

" You're kidding."

" I wish. My brother gets this cool name as Jupiter and I get Matt. Sucks being the youngest child."

She giggled, she knew exactly what he meant. Being the youngest of two sisters, she knew what it was like to be forgotten about.

Especially now with Carter at one of the top universities on the West Coast and Lucy starting her final year of culinary school in France. Things at the Chen house have been more than hectic as her parents booked trips to France for Lucy, and made care packages for Carter. They forgot that she had won in her division for the 400m. They didn't even bother to show up and congratulate her.

The bell rang.

" I'm assuming you have no one to sit with? Here sit with me and you can tell me if your parents are named Zeus and Hera."
