Jinhwan stared ahead of him. He was just staring... at nothing really. Simply looking at the view from the dorms balcony, yet not really looking at it. He was angry and dissapointed. Aggravated and frustrated. He was everything and anything but content at the moment.
"Hyung, what's wrong with you?" the deep voice came next to him. The deep vibrato echoing in his ears, making him fall back to earth. Back to reality.
"Nothing. I'm fine." he said coldly not sparing the other a glance.
" 'Kay, well Hanbin hyung wants to see you." the other said simply, patting Jinhwan's back and walking to God knows where (Jinhwan wishes Hell. Not really, but he does.)
Jinhwan felt tears wanting to spill out, his eyes were burning and bottom lip was trembling. Whats wrong with you? 'kay well?' Was that all he was worth to the other. Yes, he did not have the biggest heart or kindness words, but didn't he deserve better? He was not perfect but could he not get equal treatment? He sighed frustrating knowing that he shouldn't let the younger get to him. He was younger and childish after all. He did not know any better, did not catch on others feelings and only cared about his own. Jinhwan wiped the streaming tears from his eyes and walked to the studio where he knew his teammate Hanbin had been for the past few hours.
"Junhoe said you needed me?" Jinhwan said walking in and looking at the other who's eyes were glued on the computer screen with a music mixer opened.
"Wow, you're calling him Junhoe. You must be really pissed at him, huh?" Hanbin sighed turning himself around to look at Jinhwan.
"Why would I be?" Jinhwan shrugged, acting oblivious.
"Really Jinhwan?" Hanbin asked skeptically.
Jinhwan shrugged, looking at the other blankly.
"Look. Let's cut right into it." Hanbin said, which was his catchphrase giving signal that the members would be in for a long lecture. "Just because June was with another girl during our anniversary as iKon instead of at the party, does not mean he's dating OK? I already got on him for getting caught, now if you get mad-"
"I told you, I'm not mad at him. I really don't care if he dates or not." Jinhwan crossed his arms. He tried to ignore the pain in his chest as each and every word left his mouth. Tried to ignore the pain remembering some of the photos that had spread online where the tall vocalist walked happily next to a shorter, and annoyingly beautiful, woman. He tried. Really hard.
"I just feel that he's really being selfish, and should grow a pair." Jinhwan crossed his arms distracting his eyes with the machinery in the room.
"Really? But weren't you the one a few months ago who came to my room crying because you realised you loved our big idiotic and loud baby Koo Junhoe? Or was that not you? Maybe I was high I guess." Hanbin frowned, giving a hint of amusement.
"I..." Jinhwan was wavering again. He had messed up, confessing to Hanbin about his annoying crush on the other that would not leave although he had swore to himself he would get over it after awhile.
Jinhwan had found it weird the first time he had made eye contact with the other and felt his heart flutter like crazy. It wasn't an entirely new feeling. And Jinhwan knew it was what he had felt one time in high school. A simple crush.
He then found it funny, admiring Junhoe and how unmanly and childish the other was. Junhwan liked and always dated mature people. People with class, composure, calmness and intellect. Things Junhoe showed almost no signs of. Then Jinhwan ignored it. He acted normal towards the other. Showed signs of skinship on stage and way more, pushing all unecessary thoughts and feelings aside. But then Jinhwan worried. He began noticing how he would stare at the other, searching for flaws. He noticed how intrigued he was and curious about what the other had in mind everytime the lad stayed quiet in interviews or in public. And when Junhwe smiled.. He tried hard not to mirror his action. His laugh was like music, his singing voice a blessing.
"Jinhwan, I see you're in lala land." Hanbin was standing up trying to get the others attention by snapping his fingers in front of the shorter boy's face.
"I like him," Jinhwan felt a tug at his heart. "a lot." he smiled sadly, tears threatening to spill for the tenth time today.
"I know," Hanbin sighed hugging Jinhwan. "That idiot.."
