Karl and Praesidium jumped back, staring at it. Soon Tubbo heard them laugh, he looked back at the beast and realized it was a man in a cloak with a mask. He pulled the mask off and grinned; his mouth was lopsided with a scar starting from his chin to his right eye, his mouth reminded him a bit of a staple, he had black hair and a blue beanie when he stopped laughing and wiped his tears his pitch-black eyes met the world once again. Tubbo somewhat recognized the man, he just didn't remember where. The man looked over and saw Tubbo, who jumped and hid behind Karl. "Why is..." he looked enraged before calming down. "Karl, you know you're not allowed to bring anybody with you to this hell hole. And why... Him. Of all people?" Tubbo didn't understand what he meant, Karl didn't either. "I know I'm not supposed to, however, I did not bring the boy here. Besides, what do you have against Tubbo?"
"I don't have anything against him. I'm just concerned about the fact that HE specifically is here." Karl scoffed and rolled his eyes "Why are you so difficult to work with? Tubbo is here and I don't know why you're flipping out man. I love you but you Gotta start making sense." The man seemed to get angrier "Is it wrong to be concerned about my son being here?! Is it Karl?" He whipped around and stomped into the castle. Presumably to the portal back. Karl was stunned, somehow more than Tubbo was. "That guy is my dad? And what was the 'I love you but,' thing about?" Karl sighed and ruffled his unkempt hair. "That was my fiancé. Alex Quackity. Though he prefers Quackity." Tubbo nodded and walked over to help Praesidium up. "Does that make you my step-dad?"

"I think it's time we fix your memory yeah? According to the books, you forgot all about your childhood before the war." Tubbo nodded, despite not knowing what he meant by 'war'. Prae led him into the familiar castle, its quartz walls shimmering with magic. Prae walked into a pure white portal in which it was colourful. Yet so dull at the same time. As the usual dizziness of the portal faded, he was met with a completely white world. Quackity floated on a cloud, the world started shaking as rosy raindrops doused them in melancholy tears. Yet they looked up and saw no clouds. No nothing. The cloud flashed colours, forcing Tubbo to look away. "Welcome to the distortion world. A world Nevadas created for himself. Only he and who he entitles worthy can will it. It seems he is in distress at the moment..." Praesidium whispered. Tubbo glanced at Quackity and slowly made his way over to the man.
The rain was heavy, but he was not wet. He climbed up a cloud staircase... When had? And sat next to him. "Uhmm, Are you... Alright?" Quackity looked up eyes wide and puffy. "Why are you here?" Tubbo hugged him as tight as he could, he didn't know why but it seemed to help. Quackity leaned in and sobbed into his shirt, the rain eased up as the man fell asleep. This place didn't feel real. Was it? Was he? "I was not aware you could accomplish that, however... Now we may use this place as we desire." Tubbo looked at them, waiting for an explanation or instruction.
"Take a deep breath, and imagine what you assume your childhood was like. And we'll strive on fixing the details okay?" Tubbo agreed.
A living room setting appeared around them, however, it was not Phil's house like he expected. it was strangely familiar. A small child ran to the door and sat down. He couldn't see the boy's face nor could he recognize him. A man opened the door, he looked young and full of joy. He had jet black hair and a bright smile, he picked the boy up and awed over him. He blew raspberries in the child's belly and another man with large horns walked in behind him. The horned man set the groceries on the table and sat down with the other two. Tubbo recognized the horned man. Schlatt... Why was he here? who was the kid? The man with the black hair was familiar as well. He glanced at Quackity who was sleeping peacefully on his cloud nest thing.
Schlatt looked at the smiling man, "Quackity... You know just as much as I do that we can't keep him." Tubbo's jaw dropped. That cheerful happy go lucky guy is QUACKITY? No way. I refuse. Nope. "I know... But I can't help but get attached! he's just the sweetest thing!" He buried his face in the kid's fluffy mop of hair. The vision dissipated leaving them with many questions. Prae looked at tubbo with multiple questions. The answer hit him (harder than two tucks having sex) like a brick. The boy was him.
Quackity woke up with a yawn, he felt calmer than he had in aeons. He blinked and rubbed his eye, glancing over at the pair he sensed in his domain. They seemed to be in a state of shock, no matter, this is ordinarily the case for these situations- Is that Praesidium? Wouldn't they have explained what this place is?
The place began forming. Seemingly a memory, I guess Tubbo was endorsed worthy of its power. Quackity watched as the younger version of himself shielded Tubbo desperately trying to save the boy he considered his son from being abandoned. Schlatt pleaded with the young demigod, willing him to give the child up voluntarily to avoid anguish in the future. The child in question was holding onto the frail man's shirt, unaware of the situation.
The memory suddenly froze, fading back into white as Tubbo clenched his hair as though trying to rip what he just saw out of his head perpetually. Prae noticed the world beginning to shake so they grabbed Tubbo and then booked it.
