JLA Meets Apollo

Bruce asked Evelyn to come and fix some of the computers up in the watchtower. Apparently a brawl had broken out and destroyed some of the equipment and while Bruce was smart with tech, Evelyn was smarter. Evelyn happily agreed and said she would be up soon.

After finishing her work for the day at Rosier Tech, Evelyn headed to the nearest zeta tube to get to the batcave. Bruce told her about a suit he had made for her and wanted her to wear.

Evelyn was thrilled to see the black one piece suit. It was simple but had all the elements she would ever need. Some padding to protect her, if she needed it, with a utility belt to hold all her gadgets and tools. Not to mentions the amazing boots that came with the suit and gave her a few inches. The suit was completed with a simple black mask, similar to Robins. Evelyn was giddy to have a superhero suit to call her own. She felt like a true member of the team as she usually just wore everyday clothes in the cave. No one would see her anyone's besides the family.

Suiting up and heading into the zeta beam, Evelyn was excited to meet everyone as she only knew J'onn, Clark and Diana. J'onn only knew about Evelyn because he read Bruce's mind when they first met and had seen her.

'Apollo - 07'

"Hey Apollo! Batman sent me down to bring you up!" Superman cheerily greets as he flies down next to her. Evelyn sent a smile and nodded.

Evelyn did not expect for Clark to pick her up and fly her up. She was thinking they would have used the stairs that were convenient placed next to the tube.

"Uh, Superman, while I appreciate the lift, I could have walked." Clark blushed as the thought crossed his mind. He didn't really think about that, he was used to just carrying people as Superman.

"Right, uh sorry." Clark set the woman down on the platform as he nervously chuckled. He hoped Batman didn't see, who knows that he would do to Clark if he'd had seen.

"No worries. Is this the computer?" Evelyn pointed to the computer, a black screen present instead of video feed or mission plans.

"Uh, yea. Will it take you long? I can bring you a something to drink." Clark kindly offered. He liked Apollo and her gentle nature, it reminded him of his own mother. A gentle soul until someone wrongs her and then all hell breaks loose.

"That's kind of you. Maybe a coffee? Splash of milk and sugar?" Clark nodded and flew off to grab the woman her requested drink. Evelyn turned and approached the computer before taking a sit. She was quick to start working her magic.

---

Clark had brought her the coffee she requested and a few other heroes came with surprising Evelyn. Bruce told her the watchtower was empty at this time besides himself, Superman and Wonder Woman. She didn't expect to be meeting anyone and Clark wasn't expecting to introduce her to anyone either.

The other heroes had seen Clark make Evelyn's coffee and asked who it was for. It didn't have enough sugar to be his own and too much to be Batman's and Diana didn't drink coffee much. Clark casually mentioned Apollo working on the computers and that caused a few of the heroes to jump in excitement. Only a select few have met Apollo as Batman liked to keep her away from everyone. He claimed it was because there was no reason for her to meet the other heroes but Clark figured it was because he didn't want to share Apollo. He was very protective over her and shot down any requests for Apollo to join a mission or for her to help someone with their own technology. He always insisted he could fix it just as well as Apollo and he wouldn't bother her for such a small thing. Clark would always just roll his eyes at Bruce's excuses.

"You must be Apollo. Green lantern or Hal Jordan if you ever wanna meet up outside the watch tower." A brown haired man spoke up as he leaned on the computer. He sent a dazzling smile to the woman as he eyed her up and down.

Evelyn felt her brow raise at his blatant flirting and egotistical attitude. Did Bruce never mention the relationship he had with her? Evelyn internally rolled her eyes as she assumed Bruce just figured everyone should know. Sometimes the man forgets not everyone is a detective like him.

"If I ever reach that level of desperation I'll be sure to find someone else. Thanks for the offer though." Hal deflated at her dismissal and moved to the laughing Flash. Barry already knew Evelyn as he often dropped Wally off at the Wayne manor for his best friend and Evelyn's adopted son, Dick Grayson. Barry also knew that Bats would skin anyone alive for hitting on Apollo.

So good luck Hal Jordan.

"It's nice to finally put a face to the name. Batman and Superman talk about you often." Green Arrow greets. Evelyn sent a polite smile back and a tiny wave to the green clad man. He was from Starling City and reminded Evelyn for Robin Hold with his cute little green fedora hat.

"So what's your deal with the bat? You work for him like Robin?" Hal Jordan speaks up from next to Flash. Clark sent a glare to the man to shut up, Hal was digging a grave that Batman would definitely push him into if he hears about this.

"First off, neither I nor Robin 'work' for Batman. It's called a partnership. Secondly, do you know what manners are? I have a few recommendations for classes on etiquette I can give you." Flash just laughed harder while Hal blushed red. He wasn't used to getting denied by the ladies he hit on. While he should stop, he found himself enjoying strong willed woman and the chase she gave.

"I'll take em if you're the teacher." Hal said back, trying to calm his flushed face. Apollo just blankly stared at the green lantern in response.

"I don't teach immature children." Evelyn thought Barry was going to die from laughter with how hunched over he was. Even Clark was trying to cover his laughter at Hal's useless attempts at flirting.

"I'm mature!" Hal says in defense. He was really starting to regret this conversation. His ego was taking a lot of damage.

"You could have fooled me." Everyone froze at the gruff voice behind them. It could only belong to one person and that one person scared the living daylights out of them.

"Hey Gloomy." Evelyn smiled as Batman approached her. She hadn't seen him all day and while the two texted, she still had missed him this morning.

"Hello Apollo." Batman spoke next to her. He leaned down and placed a kiss to her head. A light dusting of pink on her cheeks at the display of affection. While Bruce Wayne was one for public affection and touch, Batman had an appearance to keep up of being cold and unfeeling. It helped him show his dominance and value to the other heroes while also gaining their respect. To give Evelyn a kiss was to show the Batman did have emotions, at least towards her, potentially decreasing his public image of being a stone cold vigilante.

The others seemed to be shocked too as everyone's jaw hit the ground, expect for Superman. He seemed to be gloating at something as his smile was stretched wide.

Evelyn didn't realize that Clark was internally cheering at being right. He knew Bruce didn't bring Evelyn up here because he was possessive of the woman. Whenever Clark suggested Evelyn help them on a case or mission, Bruce was always quick to shut the idea down, even when it was just the two of them. He liked to keep Evelyn in the batcave where he knew she was safe and protected from the flirtations of the other heroes. Even if he was a tad bit overprotective considered Clark would never hit on Evelyn as he had Lois and respected woman enough to not shamelessly flirt like Hal Jordan.

"Don't you all have work to do?" Batman voiced. The heroes nodded and ran off, terrified that Batman was going to murder them, starting with Hal Jordan.

Superman sent a smile to Batman and Apollo before heading off into the watch tower. This left both Apollo and Batman alone by the computers. Apollo smirked as she looked up towards the cowled face of Bruce Wayne.

"Jealous?"

"Maybe."

"It's hot."

"Hot enough to go home?"

"Oh don't tempt me with a good time."

"It's not a temptation, it's an offer. Take it or leave it."

"I'm sure Hal would be open."

"Not if his dead."

"Gloomy you can't murder people who flirt with me."

"Want to watch me do it?" Apollo felt a laugh bubble out of her at Bruce's completely serious offer. Of course Bruce would refuse to murder criminals and killers but anyone who flirted with Evelyn? He'd do it in a moments notice. Evelyn couldn't imagine what Bruce would do to someone if they had the audacity to hurt her. She wouldn't put it past Bruce to burn the whole world down to get his revenge.

"Okay Gloomy, calm down before you pull a muscle."

"I can think of better ways to pull my muscles." Evelyn almost choked on her own spit at his implication.

"People do have super hearing!"

"They don't have to listen."

Needless to say both Batman and Apollo were not found at the watchtower. Nor was Batman on call for the rest of the night and whenever someone asked Clark where he was, the man of steel would just blush and stumble over his explanation before flying away.
