Rose's P.O.V.~~

I sat down beside Platinum along with Fury and Terran. Terran had injected a medicine causing Platinum to sleep. Then after that he injected another medicine. The wounds that Platinum had before were coming back, first they came out as scars, then faded into fresh deep claw marks, blood was oozing out of them, but as soon as Terran gave him the medicine, they all faded away. Terran cleaned up the blood from his scales. There were no scars, no wounds, but his glow were gone.

I sighed and laid down, setting my head on my talons.

"It'll be awhile before he wakes up, probably a few minutes, but when he does, give him some space." Terran said.

"What do you think what could've caused the pain?" Fury asked

Terran sighed "I don't know, I've never heard anything about this..."

Fury nodded, I raised my head looking at them "We should go find shelter, nightfall is coming." I said.

Terran looked at the sky and nodded. He grabbed Platinum and settled him on his back, using his wings for balance.

Fury got up followed by me. We all walked around looking for shelter. I saw a mountain slope that surrounded the area we were in, making it look like a bowl. I looked at the slope seeing a cave. "Right there!" I called out. They all looked and nodded. I heard a roar.

We all looked over and saw three Surface Mechanics, standing side by side.

They all started to run straight at us. "What do we do?!" I asked getting worried.

"Relax, we can handle this. Terran set Platinum on the floor, you can't fight with someone on your back." Fury said, Terran nodded and placed Platinum on the ground.

"Get ready to fight, surround Platinum so they won't get him. They've already spotted us, there's no other choice then to fight." She said getting into a stance.

Terran and I did as she told. I wasn't sure about this, fighting off Mechanics and protecting a unconscious dragon. It can probably be more than we can handle. As the Mechanics came closer we all tackled them down.

I remembered what Platinum told me last time we trained, all I gotta do is strike fast and avoid attacks. I clamped the Mechanics jaws using my talons. I pushed the head up, making it face away from me. I felt the Mechanics hind legs under me, it pushed me off. I got up quick and jumped on its back. I was careful with its spikes on its back, those were shaper than any blade I've seen. I pushed it's head onto the floor causing it to stumble down. I used my strength to pry the top part of the head off. The Mechanic wouldn't stop moving, but I've successfully pry it off. The body went limb.

I looked over at Fury and Terran seeing they've already beaten their opponents. I was tired, but proud. My first battle with a Mechanic and I was victorious.

Terran grabbed Platinum and we continued to the cave. We've set Platinum down and laid down to rest.

"I'll stay up to watch, you guys go ahead and sleep." We nodded at Fury and settled down to sleep. I closed my eyes falling asleep.

Fury's P.O.V.~~

I looked out into the Wastelands. Praying to the stars that Platinum, the young warriors, my brother will be alright. I've been worried about a lot of things, but my friends and family are the ones that I worry about the most. I'm glad we've succeeded in the battle.

I heard a groan beside me, I looked over and saw Platinum getting up. "Platinum!!!" I yelled in a whisper. I walked over to him helping him sit up right. He groaned rubbing his head. He opened his eyes. "Your eyes are back!!" I exclaimed. I hugged him "Oh Platinum, I thought you were dead, don't scare me like that!!"

He chuckled then pulled back "Right, I'll promise not to be so dramatic when I'm in physical pain that hurts like hell." He laughed, I laughed with him "So, how are you feeling?"

"I feel like I've been trampled over a Mechanic twice the size of me." He looked around noticing the cave "Where are we?"

"In a cave in a mountain slope." I answered. He walked to the entrance looking at the landscape noticing it was night. "How long have I been out?"

"A year or so.."

His eyes went wide "WHAT!?"

I laughed "Relax, it was only been a while. Jeez, you take everything seriously don't you?" He growled glaring at me. "Ah yes, the death glare given by the grumpy Platinum." I laughed. He sighed "Whatever, anyways, once it's morning we're training. Haven't been doing that for awhile."

"I think we've been doing fine, Rose defeated her first Mechanic." I said walking up to him. "Really? When?"

"Awhile ago actually, right there." I pointed to the three dead Mechanics. He nodded "Alright, but we're still training. We can probably improve more."

"Alright Mentor." He looked down at his talons "Please, don't call me that..."

"Why? I'm sorry if I hurt you, I didn't mea--"

"No it's not that, it's just, Venom... She used to be my apprentice, now.... she's not, I want to be there for her, I want to guide her and teach her new things, but now she's a warrior, I can't do it anymore, I've done my part, now it's time for me to accept it."

I sat down by Platinum and spread my wings around him "I don't think you want to be her Mentor, you want to be her father." He looked at me "Maybe your right, I do think of her like a daughter. Although in training, I block out everything and take it like a real battle, maybe that's why she hates me..." He said trailing off. "Platinum, don't you ever say that, sire in training you go harsh on everyone but no one hates you. In fact I bet Venom thinks if you like a father."

"Well even if we think if each other like a daughter or father, how can that happen? We're not even the same blood."

"There's always adopting." I suggested. "Maybe, but what if her parents are still alive, and if we see them, and they take her back in, I'll lose her again." I sighed "'What if's' are just questions, there's many ways it can go, you just have to find one that's right." I got up folding my wings back "Now get some sleep, I'm watching, and I'm not taking no for an answer." He sighed, "Fine, but wake me up soon." He walked back into the cave laying down. I sat down and looked off into the landscape. Looking out for anything...
