This would be quite rare considering the military would try and stop the spread of the virus from the first sight of a zombie. But if this were to happen and the virus spreads like wild fire, then your best bet is to get out of the area as fast as you can before you get infected.

I would say go to a place where the military has taken over and stay there,  but that can be a bit ify if you've seen the Walking Dead because they like to blow up stuff to try and stop the virus. Also they can't always protect you even though they'll try.

You're most likely better off on your own surviving or with a group because the military camps won't last forever because they'll eventually have to withdraw from the small camps to help protect the major one in, what should be, Washington. So it's better to get used to gradually surviving on your own and not all at once.
