Amelia's POV:

As soon as I swat the bubbles away from my face my eyes meet Jungkook's. Somehow within the time between him grabbing my arm and me almost screaming the water has become a whole lot clearer.

His eyebrows furrow with panic, showing me that he can't get his seatbelt off. I watch his hand attempt to dislodge it, resorting to yanking it shortly after.

I try myself, having no success. Not even my knife will cut through the thin strap, which is highly unusual considering that I've cut through practically everything with this knife.

Jungkook coughs, hands tightly gripped over his mouth. I want to cry out in frustration, one final idea popping into my head. My hands wrap around the strap, putting my feet on the edge of the seat and pulling back.

I lean against the back of the front seat, attempting to create enough space for him to wiggle out. My lungs start to burn, begging for air as small black dots cloud my vision.

I don't even notice Jungkook escape. It's not until he physically has to drag me to the surface when I realize I've taken in water.

"Fu- Fück!" I choke out, gasping painfully.

Jungkook has to practically drag me to shore, despite struggling himself. The two of us collapse in the sand. Chests rising and falling rapidly as we collect our thoughts.

"Shït," Jungkook breathes out, rapidly standing up.

I follow suit, running after him while coughing like a maniac. He quickly shushes me, holding his hand tightly over my mouth as we crouch behind a rock.

My eyes follow the figures moving in front of us. Somehow, Keegan and his men were able to make it down here while I was busy freeing Jungkook. Yoongi, V, and Hoseok are all in there grasps.

"And they said you were dead!" Keegan laughs as if Yoongi is some old friend.

"Wish I was," Yoongi mumbles, simply not scared in the slightest.

"And you, you're really in for it. Escapee," Keegan walks over to Hoseok, roughly shaking his shoulder.

"As for you, newbies are always welcome," Keegan then smirks at V.

My stomach flips upside down, knowing exactly what they'll have to see. Hoseok and Yoongi already know, but V has never experienced that hëll before.

"It's a shame," Keegan sighs, "I really wanted to say a few words to... Amelia, was it?"

"Go to hëll," V growls viscously.

Keegan laughs, "sensitive subject?"

"Keegan, they had another guy with them," one of them say.

"Where's he?" Keegan's eyebrows raise.

"At the bottom of the river thanks to you," Yoongi retorts.

Keegan nods his head, "Well, at least Amelia will have a friend down there with her,"

My heart falls at his insensitive behavior. Hoseok's body shaking as he tries to stop himself from sobbing, while V's expression shows him processing the death of Jungkook and I.

I want to so bad yell out to them, but what good could I do if I ended up locked up again? They'd probably end up doing much worse to me.

"Alright, let's get these idiots in the trucks," Keegan rounds up his members and starts to push Yoongi, V, and Hoseok a long.

"We need to find a vehicle to follow them in," Jungkook whispers once they're far enough away.

I pull his hand away from my mouth, "Yeah well our vehicle is currently out of service,"

"That's why I said we need to 'find' one," He looks at me out of annoyance.

I shake my head, collecting my thoughts o that I don't have to be such a dumbäss. To be honest, I'm too over tired and flustered to be of any help right now, but I'd like to at least try.

"First, do we know how to get back to their base?" I ask the fast walking Jungkook.

"We'll figure it out," he replies.

"Do you know how to drive?" I continue.

"Yeah, well, it's been awhile... but... yeah," He answers.

So far I'm not liking his answers.

"I think we should try our luck over there," I point to the city looming in the distance which at this point I'm sure is Seoul.

"It's a bit far," Jungkook scoffs, "time is ticking,"

"Well start running then," I glare at him, taking off on my own.

There is absolutely no way we would just find a random abandoned car in the middle of nowhere. Our time will be spent much better if we actually attempt to look in places where one might be.

"Thanks for, you know, saving me..." Jungkook says quietly once he's arrived at my side.

A small smile makes its way to my face. At least one of them has the decency to appreciate the actions of others.

"No problem Kookie,"

"Kookie? How do you know that nickname?" His eyebrows furrow, surprisingly amused.

"My ears," I laugh, "Jimin called you that all the time,"

"That's true," he nods his head.

"By the way, why are you so at ease right now? Your Hyungs were just kidnapped by cannibals," I say.

"I know that they can take care of themselves," he replies, "and Yoongi Hyung would never take Shït from anyone,"

"Yoongi sure has a lot of anger piled up in that little body of his," I sigh.

Jungkook laughs, "I think your the only one willing to stand up to him,"

The two of us share a surprisingly enjoyable run together. Exchanging different jokes as well as mixing in our plan of attack. I think we both just figured that we need to enjoy whatever time we have, considering we'll be entering the lions den at a moments notice.

"You search there and I'll go over there," I tell him.

He immediately shakes his head, "We should stick together,"

"Okay," I shrug, agreeing only because I didn't want to be by myself to begin with.

We walk down the streets, stopping at every single car to see if it has its keys in it or if it starts. Eventually we come across a promising subject, the only downfall being that a zombie is stuck in the front seat.

"I'll open the door," I say, doing just that to have Jungkook take care of it.

He pulls the officially dead creature out, throwing it to the side. We nervously check the gas gage, relief washing over us when it almost has a full tank. It's not the ideal car, in fact it looks like something my grandma would drive, but it will do.

"Alright, shall we plug in the aux," I joke, kicking my feet up in the dash.

I'm surprised when an angelic voice fills my ears. I peer over at Jungkook who is singing, better than I would have ever imagined. I mean, I guess if they were an idol group I should've expected this.

"Do you know any American songs?" I ask.

"Charlie Puth," He looks at me, asking silently if I know who he is.

"We don't talk anymore," I say the first song that comes to my head and he immediately starts singing it.

As he comes to the end, I can't help but cheer, "we love and English king!"

"What?" He looks to me out of suspicion.

"Don't mind my mother tongue and keep driving," I clear my throat, embarrassed.

A short silence is cut off when a sudden down pour hits the windshield. The droplets scare the two of us, the road barely visible. Apparently water is becoming a huge problem in my life.

"Kind of strange that this would come straight out of nowhere," Jungkook grits his teeth, trying desperately to stay on the road.

We've had to take a rather long route because of the whole bridge situation. The next bridge down isn't that far, but with all the wreckage we've had to take a few detours.

Lighting and thunder begins to sail around us, the sky darkening to almost complete black.

"Jungkook, as much as I don't want to say this, I think we should take cover," I whisper warily, squinting my eyes towards a strange object forming in the distance.

"Time isn't really on our side right now," he replies.

"Yeah, well neither is that tornado," I say, finally recognizing what that object is.
