"Fort Benning is the safest option for all of us" Shane tries to get the group to listen to him, to understand that his way is best. Yesterday the CDC blew up and we figured out that everyone is infected, just that the agent is dormant until activated. Either by another activated agent which is a walker who either bites or scratches us or by death. Only current way is to kill a person by destroying the brain "y'all have known me longer than these two" motioning to me and Felix, the kids are in the RV keeping themselves occupied while us adults are talking "and I have done a damn good job at protecting y'all"

"And no one is arguing" Amy says

"Then why" he demands "aren't y'all following my plan and going to Fort Benning!?"

"That's over a hundred miles away" Andrea places a hand upon her hip "and we don't know what we're in for, it's safer if we stick with Felix and Phoenix"

"And winter is coming" Ha! I just quoted Ned Stark "we need to prepare for winter more than we need guns. Shelter and food are more important, have you ever seen the Hunger Games? What Atla once told the tributes? Exposure can kill as easily as a knife"

Felix looks down my way "You're quoting a lot of films; you know that right?'

Shrugging my shoulders, resting myself against Felix. A good portion of me wishing it was Demeri that was holding me, not Felix but it's like...Felix is the closest thing I have to Demetri right now. 

"Hunger Games" Amy smiles "I loved that series, I hated how Prim died"

"Carrington Mansion is only an hour away, maybe less now that there isn't really" Felix tries to be nice and sugar coat what he says "that much traffic like if there was before and no one cares how fast someone goes, we can make it there sometime today while if we head to Fort Benning it'll take several days and there's a good chance that people will not make it"

"They will have food and shelter there!" Shane yells. He shakes his head looking at everyone upset and annoyed "You all do what you want, Lori come on" 

Lori is hesitant since she looks to her kids who hold onto their dad "I don't want dad to go"

"I'm not leaving daddy" Cassie says

"Rick" Lori looks to Rick pleading "please"

"I trust them" Rick shook his head

Lori looks to Shane "I'm not leaving my kids, I'm sorry Shane" 

Shane only comes with because Lori is staying, I mean Lori probably knows it's safer to stay with us and listen to us. Also she's pregnant, no one else knows that she's pregnant but...I'm not even sure she knows she's pregnant. Either way these are her kids and she's not going to abandon them. That's the only redeeming quality I've found in Lori so far, I mean before the apocalypse she was this major bitch who was stuck up and everyone thought she was amazing. She wasn't, I heard the fights. Lori hated her life with Rick, hated how at times he wouldn't get into a pissing match with her and was only kind and considerate. She has no idea how great she had it, having a man like Rick. Men like him don't come around that often. 

As we leave the city, Dale drives his RV behind us while behind his RV is Rick in his Skoolie. We are ditching most of the vehicles since they are an extra waste of fuel. The only vehicles we still have is this new SUV that we got since it's more reliable than Shane's jeep which can cause exposure with the lack of roof or doors and Carol's car? Some of the parts you can't easily find, so say it broke down? Good chance you'll survive better if you pushed it rather than try to find a part that matches her car's. There's also my pick up truck, Daryl is currently driving it with T-Dog and Glenn. 

"Mom" Violet comes over to our side "Felix, I have a question"

"Yeah, baby?" I ask

"Are you both a couple?" Rowan demands "Will you get married?"

"Or have another baby?" Kitty asks excitedly

Felix and I briefly look to one another before he says "Right now, your mother and I aren't having anymore babies and if we did we'd tell you"

"And our recent baby" looking over to Nessie who holds one of the six golden retriever puppies. We found this adult golden retriever who was torn apart badly by a walker, she was defending her puppies. We saved the puppies while putting the mother out of her misery, it broke my heart when we did that "or babies are the golden retrievers"

"What should we name them?" Lauren asks

"There are six pups" Felix reminds them "six of you, why don't you each pick a name for the pup?"

The kids then begin thinking about names, I get out of my chair and go into Felix's lap. He wraps his arm around me "I was thinking" whispering to him "we train the pups, to sense for walkers"

He slows down when we come across all of these abandoned cars "That's a good idea, but what about all of these humans?" he whispers in my ear "We only have enough rations for us and for Jack" Jack is the only human amongst us, in this family "what about the others?"

"We'll figure something out" using my magic to push away some of the vehicles in out way "animal farms, you know? Like those large plants where they raised animals? We can always find them?"

We hear this loud screeching sound, we stop our vehicle and leave "Kids" Felix orders "you all stay here, no leaving this vehicle. Not until we tell you it's safe to"

They nod their heads, our kids are good at listening. Not so much with Sophia or Cassie or Carl. I love the two but they do not listen, not like they should. Especially during a time like this, you can't not listen and expect not to get into trouble. I mean Cassie for god's sake nearly died when we found her, she went into the city by herself and didn't listen. I mean it shows how well her parents, especially her mother was raising her. Sophia gets somewhat of a pass since her mother had an abusive ex, her mom was trying to shield her the best she could. 

"I said it" Dale complains, we go over to his RV "I've said it a thousand times" Dale didn't want to get rid of his RV and he needed a radiator to fix it. He didn't have one and has just been winging it the last well since the apocalypse started "dead in the water"

"Problem Dale?" Rick asks

"Just a small problem" Dale vents while we look around the place "of being stuck in the middle of no where with no hope of" he stops when he sees Daryl begin to raid a car of it's things "never mind"

"If you can't find a hose here" Daryl grunts "there's a whole bunch of other things you can find"

"I'm sure we can find some weapons" Felix says "someone has got to have had weapons or something close to one"

"Maybe some food?" motioning to this one truck "I see this delivery truck that is filled with water"

"How do you know that?" Shane demands

Rolling my eyes "What does that one truck say?" pointing to the truck, he looks over and is silent "pure water, obviously it has water in there and if not then the truck will have the hose you're looking for Dale"

"Hopefully" he smiles

"This is a graveyard" we look over to Lori who is nervous and uncomfortable "I don't know how I feel about this"

"Not like they'll be using any of this stuff" Amy says

"She's right" Felix looks at us "Phoenix, you take Dale and T-Dog over to the van and get the water from there"

"If there is water" we ignore Shane

"and a radiator hose if the one there matches Dale's RV" he looks over to the girls "Andrea? Amy? If there are any weapons found you'll be in charge of them along with the current weapons, keep them safe. Rick and Shane you'll keep watch in case there are any walkers and alert the rest of us about them"

"What about you?" Shane demands "couldn't you hear them?"

We ignore Shane again "Just do as he says "Rick says

"Daryl and Glenn" he orders "find weapons"

"Lori and Carol" I order "get some clothes and food and kids? Go into the RV with Andrea and Amy, don't go anywhere"

"But we want to help" Carl complains

Crouching down before him "I know you want to help, prove your worth but right now it's best if you don't wander off. Let us adults carry most of the burden"

"Maybe" Lori suggests "they stay near us? Near Carol and myself" Carol holds onto Sophia closely hesitant about parting from her but also if we encounter a walker. 

"As long as you keep an eye on your kids" I say

Dale, T-Dog and I go over to the truck and T-dog laughs when he opens the one shutter to reveal all of this water "Yo! Look at this! We got enough water to last us weeks!" Unfortunately, he is right about that, Days. Nothing more, given how many people are with us. 

"Is there a hose here?" I ask

Dale nods his head "Yeah"

"Pheonix!" Looking over seeing Felix on top of the RV, he motions to getting down and I look over my eyes widen. Using my powers, I lift the two humans and myself up to the top and they see what I saw. We lower ourselves not wanting anyone to see our shadows, because yes the walkers can see shadows. 

I watch as the kids, my kids close the windows in the RV and keep it silent with a spell since the puppies began barking. We see hundreds of waters walking by, at most there has to be about two hundred of them. I mean what is this? Some sort of herd? 

We hear screaming and look over seeing Cassie and Sophia running into the woods, some walkers following them and Rick runs into the woods after them. We said, ugh! They should have stayed in the RV like I ordered.
