"Felix?" Amy came up next to me as I finished talking to Hershel about leaving, how the kids were running around where they shouldn't and how Cassie is in bed struggling for her life since she was bit by a rattle snake. Diana made something to help lessen the toxicity level of the venom but without the actual cure that little girl is fighting for her life "I have something, I'd been meaning to ask"

"Yeah?"

"You, Phoenix and Diana have been going to the barn multiple times" since Glen told us, us three have been going to and from the barn as stealthy as we can. Managing to fill two about two coolers worth of blood which is over a hundred pints of blood. We keep it hidden in case anyone tries to sabotage our coolers. We have another freezer that is meant for blood and we need to fill that one too "is there a reason why?"

"I mentioned to Hershel his barn" don't need to worry the camp anymore than they already are for Cassie "was a bit rusty, if he wanted it taken down. I'm going there to help fix it, as a thank you"

"Oh" she nods her head "Okay"

When she doesn't leave, I raise my eyebrow to her "Um" she looks over then to me "I'm only asking because I'm curious but..." she lowers her voice "does Jack have a type when it comes to women"

"I can't tell you" I wish I could, but I can't. Haven't seen the boy in so many years and I am just wondering myself what his type is. Years ago, I imagined being beside Demetri and teaching the boy how to flirt with women "i don't know"

She nods her head leaving while I notice Shane looking my way suspiciously, he needs to be kept in the dark about the place. Last thing any of us need is for Shane to find out and ruin everything, like he normally does. 

"Hey Felix?" looking down to Carl who is came up behind me "Could you talk to my parents?"

"About what?" I ask

"Learning to shoot" How old is this kid? I mean I thought that Sophia was ten and in reality she's twelve "a gun, I want to learn"

"I'll speak to them" promising him as I see Rick leaving the house "but with your sister in the condition she's in, I can't promise anything" hearing something, a clicking sound "Carl? Hand me the gun you have"

HIs heart races while I have my hand out, looking down to the boy he gulps before lifting his shirt to show me the gun and I motion to handing it over. When he does, I check to see if it's loaded and it is "What the fuck?!" Shane stormed over taking the gun from me then looking down to Carl "Why do you have this?!"

I motion to Rick to come over when he notices something wrong "I want to learn to shoot" Carl says

Shane shook his head no while I take the gun back "What" Rick asks "is going on?"

"Carl had this on him" Rick  looks to the gun and checks to see if it was loaded then to Carl.

He waves the thing "Is this true?"

He nods his head "Yeah and I wanna learn. How to shoot a gun"

"What?" Lori came out from somewhere and I notice the slight bump in her belly "Absolutely not"

"Carl" Rick points to a spot "go sit there"

"Our son is not learning to shoot" she crossed her arms

Looking between them "This isn't my place but all I can say is that from thousands of years ago to now, you tell a boy who wants to learn not to fight or wield a weapon. He'll go wielding a weapon. Each of my sons from my human days who were younger than Carl all wanted to learn despite their mother's disapproval"

"Did you teach them?" Rick asks

Nodding my head "Better they weren't afraid of the weapon and I think it's good that your son isn't afraid of the gun" I notice Phoenix motion me over to another place "I gotta go, you three talk amongst yourselves"

Walking over to Phoenix, she looks over to the two parents and whatever Shane is then to the barn "A few hours ago" Phoenix whispers "Jimmy and Otis brought back three more walkers, everyone was still asleep but me and Diana who were by the barn in the hayloft"

"How many more walkers" Diana came over holding her son close "do you think that barn will be able to hold before it breaks?"

"Cassie needs to get better quick" looking to the house where Cassie is "I'd rather not find out, last thing any of us needs is for people to start to wonder about that barn"

"The plus side" Phoenix knelt down to catch one of the puppies, the kids have been training the puppies every day. I think they soon need to learn how to know when to bark and when not to with walkers around "we now have more than enough blood to last us the next year"

"We" Diana looks over to us "need to figure out how to produce more blood? Like there's a spell to speed up one's age and one to slow down age, what if there is a way to speed up one's body blood production?" She walks away to ponder that, I mean if she's able to do that then it would be very beneficial. 

Phoenix looks around briefly taking note of how the camp is then to Shane "I don't trust Shane...Dale brought something concerning to me"

"What?' Dale said he had something important to tell both me and Phoenix but didn't want to say what when someone else came over "What did he say?"

"Shane is getting out of control" she says "part of me is wondering what kind of man Shane was before this pandemic, life if he was a good guy or if...dare I say a corrupt cop. Dale told me that he saw Shane holding a gun to Rick, Rick's back was turned but he didn't know what was stopping Shane from killing Rick"

Wrapping my arms around her "That boy might have been a corrupt cop, tine here will tell...the best way to find out is to let time reveal his actions. While there are some people who trust Shane, I don't think others do"

Shane stormed over to us "Where are the guns?"

"We handed"

"I meant" he demands "the actual guns, these people need to learn now to shoot with"

"A paintball gun" Phoenix cuts him off "is the closest thing to the guns we have, we don't have a lot of ammo and we need ammo to survive. Can't be wasting it"

"Rick has two guns" I say "so, get going for the training"

"No" shaking his head no "not until you tell me where those fucking guns are" we don't say a word and it pisses him off even more "TELL ME!"

"What" Dale came over holding his rifle close "seems to be the problem?"

The others look our way "I need guns to teach and they aren't handing of them over"

"And paintball guns is what you'll be given" I say "bullets are hard to come by and last thing anyone here needs is for you to go through them like it's nothing"

"Shane" Rick went over to him "we can work with paintball guns"

Shane spits down at my feet before storming away, I stop Rick "Rick? What kind of cop was Shane before the world ended?"

"What?" he asks

"What kind of cop was he?" Phoenix asks "was he a corrupt cop?"

He shakes his head no "No, Shane just has a temper but it has never gotten in the way of protecting those before"

"Mom" Rowan looks at me and his mother "Felix? Why is the barn filled with walkers?"

We are in the RV so no one knows what he is talking about, everyone else is eating breakfast "How do you know?" Phoenix demands

"You didn't answer my question" he crossed his arms

"Don't do that" Phoenix points to Rowan warning "you uncross those arms right now, I'm the one asking questions"

Rowan uncrossed his arms when I order "Listen to your mother"

"Well?" he asks "Were you going to tell anyone?" 

"No" Phoenix shook her head no "your mother and I knew that since we'd be leaving soon"

"And what about Hershel and his family?" he demands

"He sees those walkers as sick people" Phoenix stood up placing a ha don her boy's shoulder "Felix and I made a tough call, one we are sticking by since us being on this farm is temporary. Now that Cassie is awake, we will be leaving soon"

Steven brought the walker to the manor and it scared the people there straight, he promised me that they aren't taking for granted anything "And these humans here? Mom, even you can't see how wrong this is. Leaving them defenseless"

"We can't force anyone" Phoenix has Rowan look at her "look at me, unless you can change the minds of these people we can't stay here anymore. We need to go, soon"

"But" they look at me "we might as well tell people now"

Dale came to me yesterday since he took a walk by the barn and he went to Hershel first then to us Clearing my throat, everyone looks our way and Phoenix steps forward "Since we are leaving soon, there is no point in hiding this anymore...the barn is filled with walkers"

People are taken aback, looking from the barn then to us "What?' Jack asks

"Mom?" Nessie asks 'what do you mean the barn is filled with walkers?"

"Exactly what she said" they look to me "we have been keeping the barn secure, the day we found out was the day Cassie got bit by the snake"

"Violet! Lauren!" Phoenix calls out as her twins run off towards the barn along with many others, we follow quickly enough and Shane orders "Move! Move!"

He shoved the kids aside and he was snapped at by Lori "Shane!"

Shane waves her off before turning to us "You cannot" Shane demands "tell me this is okay, this cannot stand"

"We are leaving tomorrow" crossing my arms "what this family does with the walkers is on them and this barn was secure enough for the time being, there wasn't a point in informing any of you about this before today"

"Walkers were a stone throw away from our camp!" Shane yells "and you didn't think to have us know that our lives were on the fucking line!" 

"I have had it with you" getting in Shane's face snarling "since we have arrived, you have undermined my authority and anyone else who disagrees with you! I knew men like you and the only way to get you to listen is in death"

"So what are you waiting for?" he demands

"The fact that you have a kid on the way" Phoenix crossed her arms "let the kid see how much of an asshole you are"

"At least I'm not some whore" he snapped

I punch him in the face "Shane!" Lori went over to his side when he fell down dead.

"When we leave, Shane doesn't come with" Lori looks up at me while I look around the group "men like Shane put everyone else at risk, I am not risking this entire group for one hot head who will not learn" looking over to Lori "Shane leaves, one way or another"
