When we get to the farm, Rick and Lori are on the steps looking our way. "Where's Felix?" 

"He and Shane" Rick looks very pale, he must have been giving blood since we were already running low on blood "left to get the supplies needed for the surgery" 

"How's Carl?" I ask

Shaking their heads "Did you" Rick pulls Cassie to him when Cassie ran out, we didn't tell her about Carl since she's too young and we won't say anything until there's something to say "find Sophia?"

"We did" Dale looks over to Diana "Diana here is a new member, she helped find Sophia. This is Diana and her son Joshua, she's a new member of our group"

They look to Sophia who holds her son, she offers them a smile which they return. It's dark, what's taking so long? It shouldn't be taking this long, Carl was shot hours ago. Something is wrong. 

Looking over hearing a pickup truck, I sigh relieved when Felix left the vehicle. Running over to him, I jump into his arms crying "You're alright"

"I'm alright" he kisses the top of my head "took longer than anticipated, more walkers near what we needed" I notice Shane limping as he handed the supplies to some man "I'm going to get cleaned up then help with the surgery"

Nodding my head, we watch as Felix goes into the house "Is he" Diana asks me "your chosen mate?"

Nodding my head, I mean we chose one another "Yeah...Demetri is gone, most likely back together with Heidi"

"Doubtful" What is she talking about? "You don't know? Heidi Volturi was killed a few years back, she was caught messing with a soulmate bond. Wasn't divulged who but the witches had enough of Aro and his leniency on some of his coven members"

"Wow" If Demetri isn't with her then,,,is he gone? I mean the bombings? What if he was in the city? Felix told me that if Demetri was still alive, he'd have found us by now. He'd have found me by now. Right?

Hearing a meow, we look over seeing this box of kittens. About five of them, with them is this little girl who appears to be five with long blonde hair, blue eyes and light colored skin. She gulps holding the box close as we look at her "Hi sweetie" I kneel before her "I'm Phoenix"

She clutches the box close "Who's the girl?" Amy asks

"Where" the little girl speaks Italian "did the big man go?"

"That's Italian" telling the others before speaking in Italian to her 'The big man went to help a little boy, can you tell me your name? How old are you?"

"Grace" she looks down to the five kittens "this is Fanta, Brownie, Candy, Funko and Boo Boo and four"

"Are you hungry?' I ask "we can make you something to eat if you are hungry?'

She nods her head "Yes"

Standing up looking at the others "Her name is Grace and she's hungry"

"We" one of the women who lives her motions "can fix her up something" she has short brown hair, it isn't a pixie style but it's short cut hair with green eyes and light tan colored skin. The little girl holds my hand as we head inside. She holds onto me close, wary of all the eyes on her. 

The little girl's kittens were given bottles of milk, they all begin to lap up the milk quickly enough. In the light you can see the kittens better and know which is which, Fanta is this tabby kitten, Brownie is this dark brown furred kitten, Candy is this pure white kitten, Funko is this tuxedo kitten and Boo Boo is this pure black kitten. Each of them are all fluffy in their own way, they are small. No longer newborns but maybe two to three weeks old. 

This place, they use to own a cat from when it was a newborn to now so lucky they have bottles for the kittens since they were mewling in hunger. Maggie, that's the one girl's name said that her father will check over the kittens after he is done helping Felix help Carl. Her father, Hershel use to be a vet before the end of the world. 

After some time, the kittens went to sleep in the box that Grace has while we are all outside. The puppies went over to Grace to sniff the kittens before walking away not deeming them threats while we all patiently wait for what is going on. When Felix comes out with Hershel "He'll make it" Lori cries in relief while Rick gives both Felix and Hershel hugs thanking them. 

"I've spoken with Hershel" Felix informs us "and until Carl is stabilized to move, we will be staying here for the time being"

"While we are here, we are guests" Felix looks around the group, it's the morning and things need to be gone over like the rules "Hershel isn't comfortable with guns on his property but I know" he quickly held up his hands when some people were going to protest "you all would feel safer if there was a gun so Dale with have a rifle with him and keep watch from the top of his RV or skoolie"

"If your wondering about gun training" looking at them "we will have gun training but it'll be off the property, far away from the house and you all will be using first the paintball guns that we have. We cannot" raising my voice as some people began protesting "risk our ammunition"

"What" Amy asks "will we be doing while we wait for Carl to get better?"

"For now" I say "we go over our supplies, winter will be here shortly and by the time it arrives we need to be prepared for it. Which means knowing how much food we currently have vs what we will eventually need"

"In a bit" Felix looks to Glenn "I will be heading down to Carrington Manor, Glenn you will come with then on our way back we will go on a supply run to this nearby pharmacy"

"Andrea?' looking over at her "we will head back to the highway and gather that water from the truck we found, there were three different water companies with supplies that I saw. Diana will stay here with the children, but also she will tell us about the woods and where this Brigit is"

"Who's Brigit?' Shane demands

"Another witch" Diana crossed her arms "major bitch, she will not take too kindly to trespassers and I know that near her property is this burrow of rabbits that would be great to make into stew"

"Another thing" Felix points to the barn, which I have been curious about "Hershel doesn't want us to go near the barn, I didn't ask why and I won't ask since we won't be here long"

"I'll ask" Shane stood up

"Shane" Rick pleads 

"We are guests" Dale reminds him

Shane scoffs "screw that, I want to know why we can't go into a barn"

"Have you thought" Diana asks "that it might be dangerous? Like something might break and kill you? Or at the very least seriously injure you?"

"No one goes near the barn" Felix orders "as for the children, keep an eye on them" he orders the teenagers "If I have to guess, Carl will be ready to leave within the week or two and by then we should be out of here"

"And what then?" Shane demands "we keep moving from one place to another?"

"No" Shaking my head "the walkers won't be able to walk in snow, it'll slow them down. So going north? Maybe Maine? Someplace where it'll be hard for the walkers to move is a better place for us"

"And lastly" Felix says "if anyone uses the horses, ask Hershel since they are his horses and one of the horses doesn't do well to new people" 

As we part ways, Felix and I go over to Grace and make sure to see she's alright. She was hiding in the cafeteria since the world ended with her pregnant cat, it was a miracle that she wasn't found until Felix. The mother cat was found but only to get Felix's attention, Shane killed the cat but we didn't tell Grace. Felix told her that the mother cat died in her sleep, she's sad but it's better than telling her that her cat was murdered. 

"Grace?' Felix gains her attention "Phoenix and I are going out for a bit, we need you to stay with the other kids. Okay?"

She nods her head, I make sure she has a bottle of water with her before leaving "Felix? I'm worried about her, she has barely said anything since arriving. Do you think it's shock or"

"Most likely being around new people" he rubs my shoulders "we have things to do today, the sooner we do them the sooner we make our family safe" Our family... I don't know what to say to it, I mean I don't know how to react to this new relationship.

"Woah" Glenn looks around the Carrington Mansion that I listen closely to, it's not deserted. Not what I thought "this place...how many rooms is there here?"

"Enough for everyone" this gleeful look is upon his face "I wouldn't be too happy, there's some people here" we go into the house and I look around the place before seeing in the living room that Blake Carrington. i guess I was wrong, the Carrington's didn't leave "Blake"

"Felix?" Blake smiles coming over "Oh my god" he stops to see my eyes are red "why are your eyes red?"

"Who else is here?" I ask "besides you and I'm guessing your family?"

"Why are your eyes red?" he repeats

"Oh my god" Glenn looks at Blake "your Blake Carrington"

Blake looks to Glenn then to me, I see his second wife Krystal enter the room "Felix" she smiles "hi and why are your eyes red?"

Tilting my head to Blake "How would you like to make a deal?' holding my hand up "I know you are wondering why my eyes are red and I'll explain, but first let's make a deal that will benefit you and those that are here which I am assuming is your entire family?"

"What kind of deal?' he asks

Motioning to his office, we go into it and I shake my head no to the drink he offers me "I have this camp, me and my girlfriend Phoenix. A little over twenty people, half adults and half children. We have guns and I know you have guns too"

"Yes" he nods his head

"i am assuming you know the dead are coming back to eat people" he gulps looking away "who did you have to kill?"

"Anders" Oh...he was a good man "he died before um...he's gone"

"I want to bring my camp here to live" he raises an eyebrow "and I know you know how dangerous these dead people walking are, we all pitch in our weight around here and live in peace. For the time being that we stay here"

"What exactly" he asks "are you? I don't want to make a deal that I might regret"

"I'm a vampire"
