"What do you think?" Paul held his arm out to the backyard of Sam Uley's House, it reveals this very beautiful backyard dinner.

There's a circular table in the middle with two chairs on opposite sides of one another. On the ground circling the table are some wild flower petals, the color of the petals is white. Handing from small glass fish bowls are lit candles making it look more romantic than it actually is.

On the table are two candles along with a plate and a cup with well placed cutlery.  "Let me" Paul pushes me into my chair when I went to it.

"Just because you set up this nice dinner" Paul sat down across from me "doesn't mean anything will happen"

"I know" he has a smirk on his face, do not punch him Phoenix. Do not punch him.

When Sam Uley came out with some make shift menus, he offers me a smile "Hello, I'm Sam I'll be your server for the evening" handing us the menu "is there anything I can get you to drink for today?"

"Two cokes" Paul asks

"Actually water" correcting Paul as I open the menu looking at the menu which has only one thing on here "and it has to be chilled as for the food, I'll have a grilled cheese but don't make it burnt, golden brown and I want every part of the sandwich to have melted butter. As for the tomato soup that comes with it, not too salty or garlicky" holding the menu back out to him looking at Paul who stares at me.

"Alright" Sam takes the menu from me, he looks at Paul "and you sir?"

"I don't care how my grilled cheese or soup is done" he tells him, Sam nods his head taking the menu from him before leaving "Are you going to prom with anyone?"

"Jasmine" reminding him about who I'm going to prom with "I told you I'd be going with her"

"But her dad grounded her" Paul says

I'll have to talk to Jasmine about that "Then I guess I'm not going to prom"

"Or" he offers a smile "I could take you? You and I can go to my prom in La Push and we can go to your prom in Forks? I heard the theme is Monte Carlo"

"Even though the theme is Monte Carlo" shaking my head "what makes you think I'm even numb or caring enough to go to prom with you?"

He motions around "You agreed to a date" standing up, he stood up grabbing my arm "Wait! Alright, no prom. Just please...don't leave"

Sitting back down after a moment, Paul also sits down after he sees I'm not leaving. We are silent, I mean we've never gone on dates before so it's really weird. Us being on a date in a romantic setting.

"The other" Paul brings up as Sam brought over the drinks "guy you were fucking was Logan McCarthy? A leech?" Sam stopped to look at him as Paul stares at me.

"First, he isn't a leech" crossing my arms leaning back "and second, I don't mind that he drinks human blood. Rather he drink from humans than animals"

That has Sam look my way and judge me "He kills people"

"So what?" I ask "people kill each other all the time, at least he's helping keep the human population under control. Last I checked the Cullens like killing animals that are endangered like the Gobi Bear"

"The what?" He asks

Face palming when he asked this "We literally talked about this months back or were you too focused on fucking me to care about the real world problems?"

"That's what fucking is" he exclaims "forgetting about real world problems for a few minutes"

"I told you" hearing Jared's voice from the side "he's fucking this up"

"Help him" Hearing Emily order

"Oh! I know!" Hearing Kim's voice "Paul! This is Kim! If you can hear me ask her about school? Like how her cousin is doing—what?"

"I'm not a walkie talkie" Jared says

"Your not?" Hearing some giggles "what about with the wolf telepathy thingy?"

"Let's" Paul held up his hands "talk about something else?"

"Like what?" How your an inconsiderate piece of shit who doesn't seem to care about the environment which is ironic considering what he is.

"Bella" He wants to talk about her? Seriously? Actually taking—he is desperate "I heard she's been sniffing around for answers"

"Since Edward Cullen saved her from a van" motioning to him "or is that against the laws of your world, because if he didn't save her then" making a noise slapping my hands together "she'd be like a fly when you swat it, dead and blood everywhere"

"No" Paul shakes his head "what he did was a good thing but he still drinks blood"

"There has to be a balance with everything Paul" shaking my head "you can't live an immortal life without ending a few mortal lives"

"I'd rather not live forever" Paul scoffs "don't you want that? To grow old? Have a family?"

"A family is what you make" This is something I've learned with covens, whether witch or vampire "if I couldn't have kids biologically would you care?"

"You can't?" He asks

Shaking my head scoffing "Yes, I still can but your missing the point"

"What point?" He looks at me confused "if you can have kids"

"And here" Sam is back with our food "is your food"

We are silent as we eat, the soup surprisingly tastes well and the grilled cheese is how I like it. I'm guessing Kim cooked it? She's always made amazing grilled cheese.

"If you can still have kids" Paul ruined this nice silent moment "then it's still making a family"

"You are missing the point I'm making" snapping at him.

"Did your eyes just glow?" He asks

Shaking my head scoffing "No, why would my eyes glow?"'looking around then to the moon that is above on me "see the moon, I'm directly under it and everyone knows the moon can have people's eyes look different"

"She's not wrong" Kim says "I know it makes your eyes more darker Jared Poo" Jared Poo?

"What did you just call me?" Jared asks

"Trying out nicknames" Kim motions to us "now pay attention Jared Pie"

"But back to the point I was making" getting back on track "you can't live always make a family like having more siblings or adopting or even adopting a pet"

"Pets aren't family" he scoffs "only lonely people have pets"

A gasp escapes me "Pets can be family you inconsiderate piece of fucking shit!" Slamming my hands on the table standing up "and we're done here, you can pay for the meal" grabbing my bag and jacket then leaving, the others moved to give me room.

The moment Paul grabbed my arm I spun around and he screams when I pepper spray him, courtesy of Uncle Charlie and his worry given the animal attacks. When I'm outside and see Logan's shadows, I go over and he pulls me into them.

He motions to silence and pointing as we see Paul ran out and he looks around for me "Phoenix! Phoenix!" He calls out looking around, he screams before shifting and runs off while I laugh beside Logan.

Logan brings us back to his room "Paul is such an idiot" falling on the bed, Logan plops down next to me "Did you watch the date?"

"I did" he nods his head

"And?" I ask

"I'm glad I'm not as stupid as that idiot" pressing kisses all over my face, my neck then back to my face. Moving is so I'm on top while Logan is on his beneath me, his hands are in my waist while my hands unbutton his shirt. The moment is ruined when my phone goes off "Let it go to voicemail"

But it doesn't, just more calls and I groan pulling away. Grabbing my phone it's Uncle Charlie "Yes Uncle Charlie"

"Where are you?" He asks

"The Cullens" Logan not caring about the phone call began unzipping my dress while kissing my neck and sucking on this one spot that I love "After a horrible date with Paul, I walked home since I pepper sprayed him" hearing Papa Elias laugh in the background "Mrs Cullen saw me walking home and offered me a ride, she also invited me to dinner since I left before food could be served"

"How generous of her" Uncle Charlie notes "alright, when are you getting home?"

"Not till sometime in the morning" moving myself to grab the condoms from my purse "Alice, Rosalie and I are having girl's movie night"

"Well alright" hearing the happiness in his voice "have fun"

"Okay" hanging up the phone then tossing it onto my bag, Logan and I quickly undid each other's clothes.

Singing and dancing as I make myself some breakfast, Esme is out getting ingredients for the lunch this afternoon since Bella is coming over. Looking over jumping when Emmett is beside me leaning against the counter smirking "Finally left my brother's room huh?" It's been a few days since my date and Uncle Charlie was more than okay with me missing school to "hang out" with Rosalie and Alice.

"Hello" taking out the earbuds that have music going through.

"My brother told me you pepper sprayed someone" nodding my head "your one badass...what do I call you? You're not half vampire, how about vampling?"

"No" shaking my head as I put the eggs on my plate.

"Yup" he nods his head "vampling it is" he looks down at my clothes, my clothes of just being in Logan's shirt "your only wearing my brother's shirt" Looking his way as I sat down to eat or more like gobble down the food, he laughs seeing Logan enter the room in nothing but pants "worked up quite the appetite you two"

"Emmett" Logan warns "no"

Emmett just laughs as Logan grabbed a blood bag "Morning" I say

"Morning" we briefly kiss before he picked me up and set me on his lap as we both sat at the table "that Paul is here, he's been here the last few days"

"Did you have the curtains closed?" I ask

He nods his head "Yeah"

"Maybe we should have left them open?" I say "show Paul just exactly how a real man can please a woman"

"Kinky" Emmett whistles

"So Bella" looking between them "is coming over" it's been a couple of weeks since Bella and Edward have made things "official"

"Just what we need" Rosalie came in snarling "a human knowing about us and coming here"

"You promised" Edward came in next "that you'd be on your best behavior"

Rosalie snaps her head to Edward growling "This isn't like with Phoenix, Edward. Bella is a blood singer, nothing more"

"She's my mate!" He exclaims "my chosen mate"  looking my way "Phoenix? Maybe we can tell her"

"No"

"But" he begs

"No" crossing my arms "I'm not having her know what I am and what I can do, no one tells her or any of the shifters what I am" Edward stormed off like a child then, I mean you can literally hear the stomping of feet.

How is it Carlisle allows his coven to be run by children? Oh! I know! He has a weak spine, doesn't have a backbone in his body.

By the time Bella is supposed to arrive, the Cullens are making a salad along with Italiano. The same meal they made for me when I came here for the first time. "Is she even Italian?" Rosalie demands holding a glass bowl full of salad.

"Her name is Bella" Emmett looks my way "and Phoenix is Italian"

"From my mom's side" thinking about my ancestry "my mom's father was Italian" I'm part English, Greek and Italian.

"I'm sure" Carlisle smiles looking at Esme "she'll love the food no matter what" I'm not so sure, I mean this has meet and Bella last I checked is a vegetarian.

When Bella arrives, she is nervous and Edward pushes her in front of him "Bella" Esme walks over to Bella "we're making Italiano for you and Phoenix"

"Mmhmm" she nods her head

"Bella this is" Edward introduced them "Esme, my mother for all intents and purposes"

Emmett waves his knife to her "You've" Carlisle tells her "given us to use the kitchen more often since Logan and Phoenix use it most of the time"

"I hope you're hungry?" Esme asks 

"Yeah" she lies "absolutely"

"She already ate" Edward complains

Logan and I share a look, especially when Rosalie smashes the glass bowl causing salad to land on the floor "Perfect" she walks away from the mess.

Everyone stops what they're doing, Emmett went the Rosalie's side as Esme sends her a warning look "Yeah" Bella stutters "it's because...I know...I know you don't eat"

"Phoenix eats" she says "Jack eats, he began eating baby food. Surely Edward told you that they spend a good time here"

"It's alright" Esme gives Rosalie a look "it was considerate of you and I'm sure you know Phoenix and Jack spend their time here"

"Just ignore Rosalie" Edward orders "I do"

"Yeah" Rosalie scoffs "like we should ignore the fact that this isn't dangerous for all of us"

"Which includes Phoenix and Jack" Logan growls

"I would never" Bella promises "tell anyone, anything"

"Because you're expecting to be turned" Logan tilts his head "is that it?"

"No" she shakes her head "I don't expect anything"

"And the problem" Emmett adds "is that you two have gone public now"

"Emmett" Esme asks

"No" Rosalie growls "she should know, the entire family would be implicated if this ends badly"

"As in" she asks "I'd be the meal"

They all laugh while Logan tilts his head "That would be the hope"

"Hi Bella" looking over seeing Alice as she comes in with Jasper, she has some flowers in her hands "I'm Alice" she went over giving her a hug "Hi—you do smell good"

She pulls away as Edward asks "Alice? What are you..."

"It's okay" Alice assured him "Bella and I will be great friends"

"This is Jasper" Carlisle introduced them as Jasper stares at her "Jeanne's to our vegetarian lifestyle"

"Pleasure" his voice strains "to meet you"

"I'm going to take Bella and show her around the house" Edward pulls Bella away.
