[Recap]

Blood filled the streets of Station Square, all you could hear were screams of fear, pain, death, but...also hunger.

" Sonic prefers sleeping in trees, he always found them comfortable " Silver chuckled

" shut it, someone's watching us " Shadow growled as he scanned the trees and ground

" to Parker street " Dream said reluctantly

" that area is infested with the infected!" Darlight shouted as she looked at Dream and Even

Sonic woke up due to someone screaming, he immediately stood up and grabbed his gun and cricket bat and run to the source of the sound

When he got to the main part of the building, everyone was frantic as they defended themselves against a horde in one of the rooms they hadn't properly cleared out yet

Cream was pinned under one, blood trickling down from the side of her neck, tears in her eyes as she tried to push it away from her

One lunged at Sonic as he tried to save Cream and he wacked it in the head, more attacked him, he was being back into a wall, fear was taking over

But one by one the infected that swarmed him were taken out by Knuckles and Blaze, Sonic sighed in relief

" you need to be more careful!" Knuckles snapped as he stood in front of the azure hedgehog

" I know, but we need to help Cre-" Sonic was cut off as the small rabbit stood up, black liquid dripping from her pale muzzle, blood slipping down her neck staining her tattered dress, she turned towards the hedgehog, the cat and the echidna looking at them in hunger with her soulless eyes

" oh no " Blaze said sadly and in fear, kid zombies are a pain to deal with, but this was once Cream an innocent little girl

There were yells coming from everyone as they fended off the infected, Sonic Knuckles and Blaze were surrounded by several zombies, including the small rabbit

Sonic cried in pain as the infected rabbit lunged at him and scratched his side, a gun shot rang out and the Cream fell to the ground, life less

The rest of the infected fell and everyone turned to Tails to see a gun in his hand, tears in his eyes and staring at the corpse of his friend

As the sun rose in the sky the three hedgehogs woke up from their resting place and got ready to continue their journey

" come on, I want to be back by nightfall tomorrow " Shadow said as he began to walk, Silver and Scourge trailing behind

Snow began to fall as they walked on and on, within a few hours they made it to the borders of the town

" we stay together, no splitting up until we get back to the others, got it?" Shadow stated as he looked towards the two hedgehogs behind him

" you say this every time " Scourge scoffed

" do you want an early grave?" Shadow snapped at him, Scourge stayed quiet, Silver sighed and looked around, a machete in his hands as he scanned the deserted streets

" you both need to be quiet, there isn't anything here, there's no infected " Silver stated as he looked behind him, back the way they came

It was true, nothing here...this isn't right

" keep an eye out...and be careful, I don't want to have to go back and tell Sonic that his boyfriend is dead " Shadow glared at Scourge

Sonic and Scourge had started dating a few month prior to the apocalypse, Silver hadn't really minded, he had been protective over the youngest yes, but Shadow? An entirely different story

When Shadow had found out, it wasn't in a pleasant way, the two had been about to 'do it' and this was a month before everything went to hell

Silver had known before Shadow, Sonic had begged him not to tell their older brother, so basically when Shadow found out Silver and Sonic had been grounded for about 2 and a half week

" hey stripes!!" Scourge yelled out in a panicked way, Shadow immediately swung around and shot an infected in the head, the sound echoing

It had been a few inches away, Shadow sighed and mentally scolded himself for not paying attention

" we should get moving, before more show up " Shadow mumbled as the three then began to walk towards the centre of town
