Aphmau's pov

I was way too embarrassed to look at Laurence and he sighed. He looked at my ankle and it was all swollen. "What happened?"N-nothing." I felt bad about lying but I didn't want to tell him Garroth pushed me.

He let out another sigh and he reached for my foot. "L-Laurence?! Wh-what!?"Your hurt, please let me help Lady Aphmau?" I nodded and took off my shoe and he wrapped a cloth around my foot. "This should help with the swelling."

He put back on my shoe very carefully and put my foot gently on the ground. The room filled with silence became awkward and I was trying to find the right words to say. "Thank you."

Garroth's pov

I didn't want to leave my room but I had to to get food and water. My eyes felt puffy and I didn't want Aphmau to see me like this. I took a deep breath and stood up. I walked to the door.

I stepped out of my room and climbed down the ladder. 'I can't let my feelings get the better of my job.' I thought this as I left the tower. I knew what I had to do. I have to stop loving my Lord.

I decided to not talk to her if necessary, because if I do that it'll make it easier to forget the pain deep down. I grabbed my sword off my back and went under the bridge.

Laurence' pov

Aphmau thanked me and it was so quiet that I almost didn't hear it. I smiled and patted her head. "I'll see you later, take care." I left the house in a cheerful mood and saw Garroth walking out of the guard tower.

He looked pained and I wanted to walk over to him but, I can't face him right now. I walked to the plaza and Logan had his shop open. I saw Dale staring intently at the 'rootbeer'.

I clapped my hand on his shoulder and he jumped in surprise and looked at me and said "Oh, thank Irene it's only you Laurence. For a moment there I thought you were Molly."Take it easy with the drinking old man.'

"Ho, ho, ho, you sound just like Molly. I laughed and then left the plaza. I saw Kawaii~chan chatting with Dante. I kept on walking and saw Malachi and Levin playing tag. I ran and picked up Levin.

He let out a sequel and I played with them through the day.
