Your POV

Today is the first day of highschool. I woke up at 5am to get ready for school and make breakfast for Father. Mother died when I was 5.

I put my school uniform on. I didn't like it because I had to wear a skirt and I really hate skirts. I got my school supplies packed them in my bag.

I headed down stairs to make breakfast. Good it is only 6am, Father wakes up in 30mins. I made Bacon, eggs and toast. I had a granola bar because I wasn't that hungry. I quickly packed my lunch which consisted of half a sandwich and an apple.

Father came down the stairs and sat at the table.

"Y/N are you going yet? Your going to be late you stupid idiot!" He said angrily, taking a bit out of the bacon I made for him.

"I'm leaving now Father. Sorry..." I said grabbing by bag and leaving.

I arrived at school shortly after I left. I heard a familiar voice call my name.

"Yn!!" They yelled across the front is the school.

"Ember!!" I squealed running up to her and hugged.

"It's been too long since I last saw you!!" She said releaseing the hug.

"I spoke to you yesterday though." I reminded her.

"But that was ages ago!" She said really dramatically.

"Embs have you seen Aph yet?" I asked looking around. We had met Aph in freshman year and we are now in our sophomore year.

"No I haven't seen her. Let's go look for her!" With that she left.

"Hey wait up!" I shouted running after her.

*Time skip to when you find her*

We finally found Aph and she was with these two guys. A blond, ocean blue eyed one and a brunet with baby blue eyes. I recognise these two!!

"Ember, Y/N over here!" She called over, "This is Garroth and Laurance!" She said gesturing to the two males standing next to her.

"Wait Laurance?! I know you from somewhere." I said then realisation hit me (like a volleyball hitting Travis in the face).

"Y/N I know you too somewhere." He said as well.

"Wait we used to be best friends! When we were kids!!" I said remembering my childhood best friend.

"B-but I thought we were best friends?" Ember said pretending to cry.

"Don't worry Ember you will always be my BFFL (Best Friend For Life)!" I replied hugging her.

"Ummm Y/N don't mean to break up the thing that is happening between you two but do you want to hang out after school?" Laurance asked.

"Sure!" I answered completely forgetting about my Father.

"Ok then!" He said just before the bell rang.

*Time skip again because school is boring*

Finally school is over! For today anyway. And I'm going to the park with Laurance now!!

I walked to my house with Laurance to get something. Father shouldn't be home until 5pm so I will have to leave before then.

We arrived at my house.

"And here is my humble abode!" I stated bowing and laughing slightly.

"Wow classy!" Laurance commented causing is both to burst out laughing.

I entered the house and Laurance stayed in the hall. I went to my room to grab my purse.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY HOUSE?!" I heard an all to familiar voice shout.

Oh no, Father must have came back early. I ran down the stairs to see Father about to punch Laurance.

"F-father S-STOP!" I said raising my voice shakily.

"Y/N who is this boy?!" He asked sternly and grabbed my wrist tightly.

"H-he is a f-friend" I replied quietly.

"SPEAK UP GIRL!" He shouted gripping my wrist with his nails tighter.

"I-I said h-he is a-a fri-end" I repeated slightly crying from the pain.

"YOU KNOW YOU ARENT ALLOWED TO TALK TO BOYS!! I MADE AN ACCEPTION FOR THAT EMBER GIRL ONLY BECAUSE YOUR MOTHER WANTED YOU TO HAVE A FRIEND!! HOWEVER I THINK THAT IS A TERRIBLE IDEA!" He boomed.

My father then kicked me in the stomach causing me to go crashing to the floor.

What happened next surprised me.

"Stop! This isn't right!" Laurance called causing my father to snicker.

"And what are you going to do about it?!" He asked laughing.

Laurance punched my father in the nose causing it to bleed.

"WHY YOU?!" My father swung a few punches at Laurance but he avoided them. Father kicked him in the stomach and Laurance coughed up a bit of blood which concerned me.

"LAURANCE!" I screamed getting up and limping to him.

Father pushed me to the ground and kicked me repeatedly in the stomach. I cried my eyes out. Well this was better than seeing your childhood friend and crush be hurt.

Laurance came up to me and father with something behind his back.

"Leave her alone! I will not live knowing the one I love is being abused by her own father! Father's are meant to love their daughters. Not hurt them if they say/do something that isnt perfect! And this is why I will make it my duty to protect the one I love!" With that he hit father in the head with a frying pan knocking him out.

"Y/N ate you ok?!" He asked as I heard sirens coming closer.

I pulled Laurance into a hug. He accepted the hug and hugged back.

"L-laurance thank you." I said shakily, "I don't know what I would have done wothoit you." I started crying onto his shoulder.

"Miss, sir are you okay?" one of the police men asked.

"N-now that Laurance is here! H-he saved me." I replied smiling.

"We woild like to take you two to the station to ask you some questions please?" The officer said.

*Time Skip to after the questions. You are staying with Ember for the time being*

"Laurance thank you for walking me home." I said as we reached Ember's door.

"It was my pleasure." He answered.

I looked down still sad about what happened with my dad.

"Hey, don't be upset. He hurt you he doesn't deserve you sadness." Laurance encouraged.

I was still looking down though. Laurance used his forefinger and thumb to lift up my chin so I was looking in his eyes.

"When I said you were the one I love I really meant it." He smiled.

He leaned in closer and I did the same.

"Laurance if your trying to say you love me then... I love you too." With that he closed the gap between us with a kiss.

We broke apart for stupid air. I went to walk in the house but Laurance held my wrist and turned me around.

"Y/N will you be my girlfriend?" He asked with hopeful eyes.

"Yes!" I answered and hugged him.

"I will never let anything like this happen to you EVER again! I promise."

We let go and I went inside whilst Laurance walked home.
