Chapter 19

As usual guys, check out my profile as I update there everyday about my books there as often as I can and since I haven't updated Agent Code for a long time, here's an extra long chapter.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I hid in my hideout for 5 whole hours before Kawaii~Chan any her gang gave up waiting around in my house for me. At least I managed to spend that time productively, I managed to fix the Portal that Sly broke on his way out and reloaded its data on coordinates and whatnot.
I made my way up the used a secret lift which brings me to the kitchen, made a light snack before freshening up and went to bed early. What can I say, school on a Monday is not a day to look forward to unless you plan to burn the school down on that day then its okay.
Just like any other normal school day, I woke up, freshened up, got my backpack and left for school. On the way to school, I expected to be confronted by Garroth and Laurance like always but not the whole gang from yesterday.
"APHMAU~SENPAI!!"
That one sentence told me how downhill my day was going to go.
"Hey Aphmau." Came a sultry voice. Man, I wish my voice was like that.
"Hey Lucinda." I greeted as I turned around. I came face to face with the whole gang and just as expected, they asked where was I yesterday and just one simple word and I was able to escape out of their claws.
"Budder." I said as I pointed at something across the road and as they turned, I ran to the school. Thank you Sky for teaching me that move that was originally meant for Ross.
Upon reaching to school, I directly went to the Library. It's finally time to act since there's no point snooping around a school full of weird students. I mean, the only way anyone can be suspicious in this school was if they're perfectly normal. Serious.
I made my way to the far east of the building where it was nearly abandoned because it usually holds all unwanted furniture and the library. Upon reading the massive mahogany doors of the library, I had to stop to take a second look. The doors were kept clean of dust and it shined in the lazy morning light with all its intriguing carvings of mythical creatures. Taking a breath, I grabbed the brass knob which looked like it had been craved by a dwarf.
I took a step into the polished marble floor with a soft tap and closed the door behind me. Man, did I feel like Belle in the Beast's library now. I turned around and almost did a double take. This wasn't your ordinary four sided, boring library-no-this library was in a dome like shape with glass for ceilings. Not to mention that it was decorated with ancient tapestries and that it had five floors. Yes, FIVE FLOORS, this will be a pain to find the right book.
Sigh, lets get started then. I silently made my way across the room to the winding marble staircase that led to the second floor in order to not disturb the scholars who were busying themselves with studying in thousands of thick books about magicks. I skimmed the books available there, it was mostly modern books like 'The Fault In Our Stars' and 'The Empire of Storms' not really something that I needed right now.
Getting the idea of it logically, I made my way to the fifth floor. This was my theory, if the second floor can still hold modern age books then the age of the books depending on their time should be from the bottom up. Once I reached the landing, I looked around, it was just like the second floor, neat, tidy but not a single person to be seen. Well better to start looking now than never right?
Once again, I skimmed for the books that may help me in finding the lost items of Irene's School for the Gifted. I must have been in here for a long time searching for books that may help in my search and I managed to grab a few that caught my eye. Once I was sure that i was done in the library, I went to register through the librarian, who was a grumpy old she-prune, and made my way to the lockers.
Upon placing the books in a neat order, because I was a clean freak, I was about to close my locker and head to lunch when something fell out from one of the books. I didn't know how I missed it before but it was a silver bracelet with a charm that was shaped into one wing from a pair. Not to mention that it was white in colour, almost glowing. My instincts told me that it could be important, so, because of my hunger and my unforgiving stomach, I headed to the canteen to get my lunch and as usual, the same thing happens everyday.
Let's see what happens shall we? First, I grab my lunch from the kind lunch lady and pick an empty table. Preferably near the window. Next, grab the apple from the tray, take a bite and the chattering commenced. Yep, that was really much what happens everyday during the breaks.
I was busy talking with Katelyn about her fighting moves when a sudden tap on my shoulder stopped all conversation at our table when I let out an embarrassing yelp. I wanted to glare at the person who made a fool out of me but since I was the 'angle' of the school, I kept my composure and smiled gently at the 'gentleman' to embarrassed me.
He had a messy lock of chocolate brown hair fitted with the same colpur of chocolate for his eyes. He was well built and had a single brownie on a plate in his hand with the words 'Date Me?' in icing. Everyone else at my table noticed this and they made kiss faces-well..except for the boys who just glared at him. I sighed, this was going to be a pain and before I could say anything, he began,
"Soo," he started, emphasising on the so, "Aphmau, will you do me the honours of dating me?"
I smiled kindly at him again before pretending to think as if I was actually evaluating on the idea that he could ever possibly be my other half. He saw this and had hope in his eyes and just like before, before I could even say anything, a blaring siren rang throughout the school and a loudspeaker sounded in all the rooms,
'Students, you are to remain calm and do not panic. Our school is currently under attack by unknown beings so if you are able to fight or at least know how to to the field where the creatures are spawning. Thank You.'
I quickly rushed to the field along the the rest who supposedly 'knew' how to fight. Upon opening the doors, an Unknown flew at me and I reacted quickly by creating an ice shield in front of me to protect myself before creating an ice word and stabbing it in the chest but strangely enough, they didn't die. Instead, they came back to life like it was no big deal and this happened to them everyday. Not only that but the bracelet was glowing a really bright white as well, strange. The fight went on for hours and by the time I was done with the last creature, it was time to head home from school.
The teachers thanked us while they tended to the injured and before I knew it, I was all alone in the field. Oh well, time to do some investigating. Just like what Jin taught me, I initiated my powers to make myself invisible to collect some samples of the Unknown creatures and lucky for me as well, I found the spawner!
Go Aphmau, go Aphmau.
So I guess it was time to get home when I heard Kawaii~Chan shouting my name and my phone vibrating from the dozens of messages I must be receiving so I should really run back home now before they get suspicious.
Just like every other normal student who comes home back from a normal schooling day ( I think ), I have tonnes of homework to do and not to mention having to search for the lost items and since I don't like homework, I'll depend on Sly for that one.
Dropping the mountain of books onto my bed, I got myself comfortable before beginning to read through the books. 2 hours later, when I almost lost all hope and felt like giving up, a piece of paper fell. Unfolding it, it revealed a poem, great just what I needed after two hours of staring at a freaking ancient artifact,
Under the circle you will see,
behind the big one,
paintings three,
pick the right one and you will see,
the lands where they lie thee.
First I spend hours reading musky old books and now you give me a poem created by a third grader? Nope, I'm out.
