I sat at the edge of the plane, next to Bloodhound, my only teammate. "Hey! That place looks a-okay!" I exclaimed, pinging a spot. "Ah, sure. Good spotting Y/N." They spoke, but although I couldn't see their face, I was sure they were smiling. They then jumped and we headed down to the spot. We landed on a mountain that had great loot and perfect high-ground. I grabbed my sniper rifle and aimed at the peers below, popping one in the head. "Knocked one! Teammate going for a revive. Get 'em!" I told Bloodhound and they shot the other in the head, and then the enemies were both down. I finished the last one off, leaving me with 2 kills and Bloodhound with 1. Successfully, I was the kill leader- I don't know how but whatever! "Should we go down or chill up here?" I questioned Bloodhound. "Let's stay, we can keep the high-ground- plus-"
"We're in the circle!" I finished the sentence off with a laugh and Bloodhound just chuckled.

"Uck... I'm feeling we're not the only ones here.." I mumbled to myself. "What was that, Y/N?" Bloodhound turned to me. "I'm feeling we aren't the only ones here." I spoke to him. "We might want to-"

Bang!

That noise, I would never forget.

I let out a scream as I tumbled back, and then down the mountain like I was some tumble weed. I had my hand clasped around my bleeding neck, and I struggled to breath. Little dots of color were beginning to flood my vision, and I heard one thing. "Bloodhound is the new kill leader with 4 kills!" That means he killed that whole squad. Before I blacked out, I saw Bloodhound sliding down to me.

I woke up to see a Lifeline patching me up. I jumped a bit, but my throat ached immensely when I did so. "Hey, Don't worry Y/N. The battle is over. I'm just patching up your wounds." She smiled and continued to wrap a bandage around my neck, then went down and gave my foot a cast. "Y/N, on the fall you broke your foot. And the cause of the fall, of course, was a sniper. They shot you in the throat, permanently damaging your voice box. I'm sorry    Y/N, but you are permanently mute. I looked down and touched my throats gently, just a brush of the finger tips. "Bloodhound will be taking you home, Y/N. He offered." She smiled lightly. "Follow me, he's been ready to go." Before She stood up, she handed me crutches for my broken foot and then lead me out to where Bloodhound was and almost immediately, Bloodhound embraced me in a hug. "Y/N! I've been so worried... Are you okay? Are you feeling well?" They asked many things and I smiled a bit. "She's just fine, Bloodhound." Lifeline spoke for me. "And she's ready to leave. Have a safe drive!" She smiled and walked away. "Alright Y/N, let's go." ThEy nodded and grabbed my hand, leading me off to his home.

We sat on his couch, binge-watching random Netflix shows. I smiled and thought of an idea. I glanced at Bloodhound and moved closer to them. I flicked up their mask and gave a nice, gentle kiss on their cheek before putting the mask down and leaning on their chest. "Y/N-" they were confused, then started laughing. We both broke into a fit of laughter. "Well- Y/N- Would you like to be my girlfriend?" They looked at me. I nodded intensely. "Okay- Calm down there!" They laughed a bit and I smiled, falling asleep on their chest as I felt them play with my hair.
