Atem glanced at everyone and then at the Millennium Puzzle, very confused as to what just happened. "Uh...was this supposed to happen this way?"

"Hi!" Lizzy exclaimed with a grin. "You must be the soul that lives in that puzzle. I'm Lizzy and it's nice to meet you."

"I'm Jaden!" the boy cried aloud as his introduction.

"Are we ignoring the fact that that guy is super confused right now?" Yusei whispered to Lizzy and Jaden. The three were staring at Atem, who was feeling one of his arms and getting more confused as time went on.

"I was thinking of just easing him into the real world by introducing ourselves," Lizzy explained softly. "It would make him more comfortable, I think."

"Hey buddy!" Joey said aloud to Atem, walking to him. "Welcome back to the physical world."

"This is the real world?" Atem asked, still feeling his arm to make sure that it was real.

"Yup, it is!"

"Oh. I thought Yugi was going to give me a warning before switching our souls, but this is fine either way."

"Yeah, I heard that there was one other time that he got you out of the puzzle without warning."

Atem sighed softly. "I remember that," he said, recalling that one day. "That was an interesting time with Téa."

"By the way, these are our friends!" Joey introduced, turning towards the three shocked people in the room. "That's Yusei, Jaden, and Lizzy. Everyone, this is Atem."

"Nice to meet you," Atem said with a smile. "I've been told about you three."

"What kind of things have Yugi told you about us?" Jaden questioned, gulping in concern.

"Guys, remember why our friend brought Atem out here," Yusei redirected.

"Oh yeah...sorry."

"So have you lived in the puzzle for a long time, Atem?"

"About 3,000 years," Atem answered quickly, while crossing his arms. "I lived during the time that the Millennium items were created, the son of the one who made them to begin with."

"But the one who created the items was a pharaoh," Lizzy added, remembering the books of Egyptian history that she was reading for Joey and Jaden. "Since you were the son, that would make you a pharaoh too, correct?"

"Yes. I was young when I became the pharaoh but I did my best with what time I had ruling the country."

"That's super cool!" Jaden said in awe. "So then how did you get into the puzzle then?"

"In short, I gave my life to protect Egypt and the world by sealing myself into the Millennium Puzzle with an evil Duel Monster from the Shadow Realm. But I lost my memories in all the time I was in the puzzle."

"I can imagine," Lizzy commented. "I mean, 3,000 years is a very long time!"

"So when Yugi solved the puzzle, you came back to life with no memories of who you were?" Yusei asked, trying to get the story clear. Atem nodded and continued,

"But I had help from him and his friends to remember who I was and save the world that you know of now. However, that was a few years ago when that happened. Now the evil has come back."

"What evil is it?"

Before an answer can come from Atem, a loud knock rang on the front door, silencing everyone.
