Friends Visiting Part 3
"So what have you been up to, Lizzy?" Jewel asked curiously, sitting on the couch alongside Summer. After they played a few games and Jaden left to his apartment, the girls were relaxing in the living room, catching up on what's new for the group.
"Not too much," Lizzy admitted with a shrug, standing behind the couch. "I've been working, playing games with my friends, cleaning the apartment a bit...things like that."
"You haven't made any potions here?"
Lizzy's eyes widened in shock when Jewel mentioned that. Potions? My, she hasn't made any in a while. Another thing that Lizzy was known for, when she was still living at home, was making magic potions. She doesn't do too much of that anymore, considering her living arrangements now. "No, I haven't here," the girl chuckled. "I've been in this complex for a while and I haven't made a single potion."
"Oh no, you haven't made any?" Jewel gasped in surprise.
"Well, the people here don't know of Lizzy's powers," Summer pointed out. "How comfortable would they be if they knew that she could make potions?"
"Yeah, I guess you're right...I mean, how comfortable would people be if they find out if we had powers too?" Both Summer and Keiza agreed with her while Lizzy just smiled at Jewel's thought.
"Were you guys cutting it close when you got to this city?" Lizzy asked.
"Thankfully, no," Keiza sighed in relief. "But you can never be too careful. But at least it's safer here." She opened up a water bottle on the kitchen table and gently lifting two fingers up from the bottle. The water gently flowed out of the bottle and circled Keiza's hand like the planets circling the sun.
"Ahh, that never gets old," Lizzy said with a look of content, staring at the bending water. "You still do that to James' head?"
"Oh, he loves a good head massage like this!" Keiza smiled. "I soak his head with water and do a good rub."
"Yeah, I definitely can't do that," Jewel mentioned. "I'd probably burn his head." She began to snap her fingers lightly. With every snap, a small flame would daze in and out of her snapping fingers.
"How about you, Summer?" Lizzy asked her. "Keeping up with your earthbending?"
"Yup!" Summer smiled happily. "I can't really show you because there's no rocks in your apartment...or at least I hope there isn't any rocks in this apartment, right?"
"There is no rocks here and what you said makes sense. Anyway, I'm glad that the Elemental Sisters are still kicking it with their fun abilities! So what do you guys want to do now?"
"I don't know," the girls said in unison. Lizzy eyes widened in shock for a second and then she sighed softly. One thing that she could sometimes never get from her group of friends: decisions of what to do next! That's one of the reasons why she wished that her older brother was around. He probably would know what to do, even if finding something to do wasn't that important.
"...Okay, I'll figure it out," Lizzy answered with a slight sweatdrop.
That's the end of the chapter part!! Thanks for reading and look forward to the next part tomorrow. See ya then! :)
