"I end my turn!" Bakura exclaimed, looking at his opponent. Odion only nodded as he drew a card for the first part of his turn.

"I tribute one of my Embodiment of Apophis to summon Mystical Beast of Serket in attack position!" A scorpion-like creature appeared on Odion's side of the duel field with an attack of 2500. "It now attacks your Archfiend Soldier." Odion's monster attacks and Bakura takes the damage.

Odion: 7300 LP Bakura: 5650 LP

"I then activate Mystical Beast of Serket's effect. Whenever my monster destroys a monster by battle, the destroyed monster is removed from play and my monster gains 500 attack points!" Mystical Beast of Serket has 3000 attack points due to the effect, making Bakura slightly intimidated. "I end my turn."

"You will pay for what you just did," Bakura snarled. "I draw my card." He does so and grins, "Perfect! I use Earthbound Spirit as a tribute to summon Diabound Kernel! Then I activate one of its effects: I can target one of my opponent's monsters and it loses attack equal to my card's current attack." Odion gritted his teeth as his monster's attack points go down to 1200. "Now, another effect that Diabound Kernel has is that it gains 600 attack points whenever it declares an attack. Now Diabound Kernel, attack!" Bakura's monsters gains the 600 attack points and destroys Odion's monster.

Odion: 6100 LP Bakura: 5650 LP

"Due to its first effect, Diabound Kernel is banished until my next Standby Phase. I then end my turn."

"My turn," Odion said, drawing a card. He looked through his cards and took a soft breath. "I set one card and end my turn."

"Ha, you don't have the nerve to try a counterattack!" Bakura laughed, drawing a card for his turn. "Diabound Kernel comes back to the field this turn. Now I set a monster on the field and attack the second Embodiment of Apophis you possess with my Diabound Kernel. My monster's attack is raised once again because I declared an attack." After Diabound Kernel destroys Embodiment of Apophis, Bakura ends his turn.

"I draw," Odion said as he drew a card from his deck. He then set a card to the field and ended his turn.

"This is going as I planned," Bakura laughed as he drew his card. "What good are you as an opponent who won't attack? But it will be over soon enough. I use my set monster as a tribute to summon Dark Ruler Ha Des! Ha Des, attack the opponent."

"I won't let that happen!" Odion exclaimed. "I activate my two traps: Tiki Soul and Tiki Curse. I summon both of these cards in defense position."

"Grr...then Ha Des attacks Tiki Soul." When Bakura's monster destroys Tiki Soul, Odion announced,

"My Tiki Curse's effect activates! Since my monster is an Effect Monster and another Trap Card has been destroyed by the opponent, the opponent's monster is destroyed!" As Ha Des is destroyed, Bakura ends his turn.

"Why must you be annoying?" Bakura said, gritting his teeth.

"I wouldn't call myself annoying," Odion replied. "I am only prepared of what is to come." He drew a card for his turn. "I set one card on the field and end my turn."

"My turn," Bakura announced, drawing a card. "First, I summon Doomcaliber Knight in attack position. Then I activate my Spell Card: Mystical Space Typhoon. It allows me to target one Spell or Trap Card on the field and destroy it. I choose my own card: The Dark Door!"
