Joey's eyes widen in shock, staring at Jaden like he was crazy. The latter boy's excited smile went to a frown in an instant.

"Perfect," Jaden thought. "Now I am crazy." Before he spoke up, Joey stated,

"Dude, you were talking way too fast for me to listen clearly. Could you say that again, but a bit slower please?"

"Oh, sorry! Like I just said, I...saw a ghost that-"

"GHOST?! Where???" Joey ducked for cover under the couch pillows of the apartment that he lives in. The other boy, who was standing next to the couch, furrowed his eyebrows.

"Are you afraid of ghosts?" Jaden asked, still standing there.

"M-Maybe," Joey stammered loudly, shaking a little. "I don't do well with that type of stuff, man!"

"Well...what if I told you that the ghost I saw is someone that looks familiar to you?"

"That's even worse! I don't wanna see my friends dead!!" Jaden tilted his head and started at his friend, who's still under the pillows. Just then, Winged Kuriboh came to Jaden as a spirit.

"Kuri?" the Duel Monster said, glancing at both Jaden and Joey.

"I don't think I'm getting through to him, buddy," Jaden whispered softly. "He doesn't like spirits."

"Kuri, Kuri?"

"No, I haven't gotten the chance to tell him yet. But I'll try as soon as Joey-"

"Wait a minute!" Joey exclaimed, throwing the couch pillows to the ground. He sat up quickly and stared at Jaden. "What did this ghost look like exactly, eh?"

"Uh..." Jaden responded with some hesitation. "To be honest, the spirit looked a lot like Yugi."

"Really?! You can see the Pharaoh?"

"Yeah, I can see him!...Wait, he's a what?!"

"Don't worry, I'll explain as best as I can. But we should probably leave the apartment first before Yugi comes back with the groceries."

"We should?" Jaden was confused. "Shouldn't we tell Yugi where we're going?" he asked Joey.

"Oh, we will!" Joey said with a grin. "We just won't say what we're talking about yet." The front door of the apartment opened and Yugi walked in with a few grocery bags.

"Hey, I'm back!" Yugi announced as he walked in.

"Welcome back, Yug," Joey smiled. "Say, you don't mind if I stroll around town with Jay, do you?"

"No, I don't mind. I was out of the apartment for most of the day, so I'm gonna rest up. You guys go on and have fun. Maybe you can find that one smoothie place."

"Oh yeah, that's right! Thanks for reminding me." Both Joey and Jaden left the apartment, heading towards the stairway.

"Smoothie place?" Jaden repeated after leaving and heading to the stairs.

"Yeah, we heard that there was a sweet smoothie place around this part of the city. We've been trying to find it ever since," Joey explained to him. "It's supposed to have really good smoothies and gelato, at least that's what we've heard from the others."

"Hmm...maybe it's at the mall! There 's a smoothie joint at the mall nearby here. Let's check it out."

"Aren't we gonna talk about that whole spirit thing?"

"Yeah and we can get smoothies at the same time! Two in one, man!"
