Fuyuka sighed, scrubbing the already spotless floors of the mess hall. She knew being a scout would be hard but had never expected it to be this hard. Scrubbing spotless floors on a daily basis just because she skipped hand-to-hand combat every once in a while. There was no use for it, anyway. It wasn't like anyone- with the exception of Eren -could fight the Titans with their fists.

"Stupid Titans. Stupid Scouts. Stupid Reiner for being so irresistible." Fuyuka muttered. The only reason she even joined the scouts was because Reiner was joining and she just couldn't bear to be separated from him. She could've saved her life and joined the military police since she had managed to be ranked tenth place, but no, she just had to be close to Reiner at all times.

Speaking of which, where was Reiner?

"Hey, Fuyu." Reiner greeted, sauntering over to the petite girl. Fuyuka became a blushing mess at the mention of her nickname, as she called it. "H-hi, Reiner." Fuyuka greeted with a shy wave, unable to meet the said boy's gaze.

"I see you skipped training again."

"Excuse me for not wanting to destroy my fists." Fuyuka replied, gaining some sort of confidence. That was actually very rare. It was a known fact that Fuyuka was shy when it came to the ones she loved and it just so happened that Reiner was one of those special people and so her shyness was expected.

"I could teach you how to fight, if you want." Reiner suggested to which Fuyuka simply nodded. On the outside, she was nodding, on the inside, she was screaming like mad.

"So is that a yes?" Reiner asked, hope gleaming in his eyes. When he was like that, there was no way Fuyuka could ever say no. If she ever did so, then she was not Fuyuka. And thus, her reply was born.

"It's a definite yes!"

Fuyuka was painfully regretting her life decisions.

She could barely sit on the same table as Reiner and now she was supposed to be training with him. There was no denying it, she was dead. There was no way she would be able to survive a minute of training with Reiner. That was another reason that she skipped hand-to-hand combat.

She couldn't risk being paired with Reiner.

But now, she had gone and done it.

She had gone and been the one to pair herself with Reiner.

"Great going, Fuyuka." Fuyuka said to herself as she slipped out of her room silently, almost like a ninja.

One of the perks of being tiny, she had said.

Fuyuka made her way to the training grounds reluctantly. She was unsure whether or not it was wise to turn back. By the time she had made her decision to turn around and leave, she was smack in the middle of the training grounds and Reiner was standing there, in all his glory.

But something was wrong, he was holding flowers.

And blushing!

"H-hey, Reiner." Fuyuka greeted, standing directly in front of him, blushing tomato red as usual. Until now, she had never realized how tiny she was compared to him. Although, she was tiny compared to everyone.

Except maybe Christa.

"Hey, Fuyu." Reiner greeted, ruffling her black hair. Fuyuka giggled slightly as she swatted his hand away. Fuyuka might have gotten annoyed if it was anyone else but it wasn't anyone else, it was Reiner and she could never be annoyed by Reiner.

"Wh-what're the f-flowers for?" Fuyuka asked, poking a petal of one of the flowers currently in his hands. "Th-they're for you." Reiner stuttered, placing them in her hands.

Wait, stuttered?!

Reiner was the one stuttering, and not her! That was new and wait till everyone had heard about that.

"Wh-why'd you give me these?" Fuyuka questioned, tilting her head to one side.

"It's because I love you."
