SOMEWHERE ELSE; 3RD POV

"The scores for the practical are out!" A voice said.

"In second place, with zero rescue points." Another commented.

"The faux villains acquire their targets and draw near them. In the second half, as others were slowing down, he used his flashy quirk to keep bringing them close and counterattacking. It's the result of his toughness." A different one explained.

"In contrast, there's the seventh place student with zero villain points." said the first voice.

"There have been other examinees who took on the large villain in the past, but it's been a while since I last saw someone blow it away." said a fourth one.

"Kid makes me wanna go just 'YEAH!'" said a loud voice.

"But to suffer such a serious injury from his own attack... it's like he is a young child whose quirk just manifested." Said another.

"Then there is the one in first place, has a lot of villain points and using her bow proficiently is quite a feat. Then came her last second decision with the zero pointer, which makes her a quick thinker." Explained the first voice who was the one that started the commentating.

As the other examiners continue their discussions about the examinees, a scruffy man with tired eyes leans against the wall Jeez. What a racket. He thought.

NIGHT AFTER RECIEVING THE LETTER; TAKOBA MUNICIPAL BEACH PARK

Tori *narrating* "The night after receiving the acceptance letter, I was asked to come to the beach along with Midoriya."

They both came to the cleaned-up beach, only for Izuku to yell "ALL MIGHT!" and she could only slap the back with her wing and said "Idiot!"

All Might sputtered out blood and flinched when he heard "All Might?! Now way?! Here?!" With her quick thinking, she said "Sorry about my friend! He just he just has bad eyesight!" Then she glared at the shorter male, and he flinched a bit while giving her a sheepish smile. The couple that overheard Izuku turned around, a bit upset that they didn't get to see All Might. They then started their conversation.

"Congrats on passing, both of you." All Might congratulated and he then continued "You should know that I haven't told the school about our relationship." He then looked at Izuku "You seem like the type who'd worry about favoritism." And I wasn't a judge.

"So, you're a teacher at UA, All Might? That was a shocker." said Izuku

"Yeah, I didn't think you would come here to teach us teenagers." commented Tori.

"That's why we're meeting here... I get it. Even though your office is located in Tokyo's Minato Ward, Roppongi 6-12..." He then started muttering. Tori shivered a little bit, That is too much information for one kid to know.

All Might interrupted his train of thought "Stop it." Izuku stopped and All Might continued "I couldn't tell anyone until the school made it public knowledge. I figured I could take the job at UA while searching for my successor."

The two teenagers thought Right! He was going to choose from amongst the students!

Then Izuku got their attention "One for All... My body is broken...After a single punch or kick. I just can't wield it." he said somberly.

Then All Might explained about how quirks are when one person just recieves one and about how his body will become more temper with One for All.

He then buffs up, showing his strength, Like when passing the Olympic flame... The new torch burns weakly first. But the coming of tests and trials will fan it. His train of thought stopped abruptly when the couple from earlier attention. "Whoa. Huh... All Might?! Where'd he come from?!" and All Might quietly said "Crap."

"Come now Young Midoriya and Young Tsubasa! Let's run away!" He tells them but not before thinking, Yes, my own flame will slowly wither and die... My duty fulfilled! I also know that Young Tsubasa will make a great ally and friend to Young Midoriya should he ever be alone.

TIMESKIP; SPRING; BEGINING OF THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR

As Tori was about to meetup with her friend so they could get to school together, she heard her uncle "Tori,"

"Yeah uncle?" She asked wondering what he needed.

"Do you have everything you need" He asked.

"Yeah, I do" She replied, he then smiled and said, "You know I'm proud of you, right?"

She then gave him a small smile of her own and said, "Yeah I do."

He then said, "I'm also sure that your parents are proud of you to."

"You think so?" She asked and he replied "No, I know so." She then gave him a last hug and ran out the door. She made her way to the meeting point where they agreed to come so they can walk to school together. Three minutes later Izuku came made their way to school.

SOME TIME LATER; UA HIGH

"1-A... Class 1-A... This place is too big..." muttered Izuku.

"Hey at least we get to be in the same class," said Tori.

"That's true, I'm glad we are," he said while giving her a bright smile. He is way too bright, she thought. After some time, they came across a large door with 1-A over it.

"The door's huge!" Izuku exclaimed.

"I wonder if it's for students with gigantification quirks" Tori pondered and then said, "Let's go in,"

"I just hope Kacchan and that boy from the exam are not in our class" said Izuku nervously.

"Kacchan? Oh, you mean Blondie?" asked Tori and he nodded. They opened the door and they were both greeted to a site of the boy with glasses 'scolding' Blondie. Tori could only sweat drop at such a site.

"Get your feet of the desk!" said the boy with glasses.

"Huh!" yelled Blondie.

"Don't you think that's rude to UA, upperclassmen, and the people who made this desk?" questioned Glasses.

"Nope! What junior high did go to, you extra?!" Blondie questioned.

While this was happening, Tori thought wow he is still loud and annoying. Also, where is our teacher? She then deadpanned at Izuku and said "Well, I guess you just jinxed yourself." Izuku was just shaking a bit while looking at the two arguing.

Back at the two, Glasses answered "I attended Somei Private Academy. My name is Tenya Iida."

"Somei?! So, you're just an elitist, huh? Looks like I'll have fun crushing you." said Blondie while smirking at Tenya.

Tenya then gasps and asked "Crushing? That's cruel. Are you sure you're in the right class?"

Just as Blondie was about respond. They then noticed the new arrivals: Tori and Izuku. The green haired got flustered while the winged girl remained normal. "Izuku, it's rude to not greet them." She whispered to him.

Izuku then greeted with a smile "Hi! Nice to meet you all!" while waving at them and Tori just greeted with a "Sup."

Tenya then greeted them back "Good morning!" while marching up to them "I am from Somei Private Academy. My name is-"

Izuku stopped him "We heard! My name is Izuku Midoriya. Nice to meet you Iida-kun."

Tenya then said "Midoriya-kun, you realized there was something more to that practical exam didn't you?" Midoriya could only say "Huh?"

He then continued "I had no idea" while raising his hands "I misjudged you!" He then looked away "I hate to admit it buy you are better than me." He declared.

Izuku sweat dropped and defused his declaration "Sorry, I actually didn't realize anything." Tenya then looked at Tori and asked her "And what's your name?"

She blanked for a second and answered "Oh, I'm Tori Tsubasa, by the way, sorry for grilling into you at that presentation."

"It's fine. Wait, did you say Tsubasa?" He asked and she nodded, and he said, "Congratulations on getting first place, I'm sure many other students who passed look up to you." This statement caught Blondie's attention and glared at Tori.

"Eh! So, you are the one who stole the number one spot?!" Yelled Blondie

"Why are you yelling at me about it Blondie?" Tori asked him.

He growled and said, "The names Katsuki Bakugo and don't you forget it."

She realized and said "Bakugo? Oh, you are the one who got second place." Before things got heated up, someone spoke up "Oh, I recognize that curly hair! You're the plain-looking one!"

Izuku blushed and thought It's the nice person!

The pink-cheeked girl then noticed Tori, "Ah, you're here too! I'm really glad!"

Tori nodded and introduced herself "I'm glad you made it, the name's Tori Tsubasa."

The pink-cheeked girl said, "Nice to meet you too, I'm Ochaco Uraraka."

She then looked back at Midoriya "You passed just like Present Mic said! Your punch was amazing!" She exclaimed while punching the air making some sound effects "Break! Break!

Meanwhile Tori was looking at the two of them she noticed how red Izuku has gotten and how oblivious the girl is. She then thought, wow she is so oblivious, and he is too obvious.

Katsuki then remembers how he confronted Izuku, he tried to make him talk through bullying him, but Izuku stood up to him for the very first time. He mulls over the thoughts on how he actually got in and how he got his quirk.

Ochaco then asked excitedly "I wonder if today's just the entrance ceremony and orientation? I wonder what our teacher's like? Aren't you nervous?" Izuku could only cover his face and thought so close!

Then a deeper voice was heard "If you are here just to make friends then go somewhere else."

The four turned around and they saw a scruffy, tired man in a yellow sleeping bag. He was right behind them, and he is laying on the floor. A caterpillar is our teacher? Thought Tori.

"This is the hero course" He stated while unzipping the bag slightly to drink something from what appears to be a squeeze bottle. The three looked horrified while Tori looked indifferent. She then thought Why do I feel like I've seen him before? He looks very familiar.

Using their silence, the man then gets up and unzips his bag and speaks "It took eight seconds before you were quiet." He steps out and says "Time is limited. You kids are not rational enough." Izuku then thought, a teacher? Which means, that person's a pro hero too? But I've never seen a hero who looked that worn out before.

Tori was still in her head wondering where he have seen him before because he looks very familiar to her, guess I'll have to wait and find out later, she thought.

The man then introduced himself "I'm your homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa. Nice to meet you."

Everyone else were shocked "Our homeroom teacher?!" Aizawa then takes out gym uniforms from the confines of his sleeping bag and says, "It's kind of sudden but put this on out onto the field."

Everyone grabs their uniform and went out to the field.

SOMETIME LATER, UA HIGH, FIELDS

"A Quirk Assessment Test?!" Everyone yelled except Katsuki, Tori, and a red- and white-haired boy.

"What about the entrance ceremony? The orientation?" Questioned Ochaco.

"If you're going to become a hero, you don't have time for such leisurely events. UA's selling point is how unrestricted its school traditions are. That's how the teachers run their classes." He then looks at the students said, "You kids have been doing these since junior high, too, right?" He pulls out a list that contains the series of events for the test. "Physical fitness tests where you weren't allowed to use your quirks? This country still uses averages taken from results from students not using their quirks. It's not rational. Well, the Ministry of Education is procrastinating." He finishes his explanation and then he looks at Tori and asks "Tsubasa, you finished at the top of the practical exam, right?"

The class then looks directly at Tori, she doesn't falter at the sudden attention, and she answers "Yes sir."

He then asks, "What was your best result for the softball throw?"

"It was 70 meters... I think" she answers. He then tosses a ball at her and she catches it.

"Try doing it with your quirk" He instructs her, and she went to the circle that was there. He continues his instruction "You can do whatever you want as long as you stay in the circle. Hurry up. Give it all you got."

She gave him a smirk and said, "I intend do so Sensei." She takes a deep breath and readies her Gale; she also lifts her wings up getting them ready to give the ball an extra oomph.

"FLY!" She yells and chucks the ball forward with Gale plus her wings giving it an extra wind power. Izuku watches her performance with awe.

"Know your own maximum first. That is the most rational way to form the foundation of a hero." said Aizawa and shows the meter.

The entire class are amazed at the distance she created; her result was 750 meters. The students started talking amongst themselves.

"750 meters? Seriously?" one commented.

"What's this? It looks fun!" a pink skinned girl exclaimed.

"We can use our quirks as much as we want! As expected from the hero course!" Another praised.

Aizawa then interrupted their commentating and spoke "It looks fun, huh? You have three years to become a hero, will you have that attitude the whole time? Alright, whoever come in last place at the end of the eight tests will be judged to have no potential and will be punished with expulsion."

This catches everyone off guard "HUH?!" Izuku was panicking Punished with expulsion?! This is bad... In all eight tests? He kept thinking about how he could possibly pass the tests.

Aizawa continues "We're free to what we want about the circumstances of our students." He then lifts his hair and gives them an evil smile. He then announced, "Welcome to UA's Hero Course!" Everyone then gave their own determined look to pass the assessment.

Ochaco then speaks up "Last place will be expelled?! But it's the first day of school. That's not fair at all."

Aizawa shot down her claim "Natural disasters, big accidents, and selfish villains. Calamities whose time or place can't be predicted. Japan is covered with unfairness. Heroes are the ones who reverse those situations. If you want to be a pro, then you're going to have to push yourself to the brink. For the next three years UA will throw on terrible hardship after another at you. So go beyond, plus ultra style. Show me it's no mistake that you're here." He finished his speech.

Everyone then became even more determined.

TIMESKIP; QUIRK APPREHENSION TEST BEGINS; EVENT 1: 50-METER DASH

With the start of the dash, Tenya and a girl with a frog-like quirk were paired. A loud bang was heard, and he made a fast dash towards the end. The robot that was recording their speed announced the result, "3.04 seconds!"

TENYA IIDA: HIS QUIRK ENGINE, PRETTY STRAIGHT FORWARD! HE'S QUICK!

It had to be in third gear for the 50-meter... Thought Tenya.

Eh... like a fish in water. We'll see how he does in the other events. Thought Aizawa while he was observing the class. Another robotic announcement was heard "Tsuyu Asui. 5.58 seconds."

Meanwhile another pair of students were at the start line, Ochaco Uraraka and a boy with a tail.

I'll just make my shoes lighter... My clothes too. She thought while tapping her uniform.

OCHACO URARAKA: HER QUIRK, ZERO GRAVITY. ANYTHING SHE TOUCHES WILL BE UNAFFECTED BY GRAVITY! HOWEVER, USING HER POWER TOO MUCH MAKES HER QUEAZY!

Faster than in middle school, at least. She thought, (7.28 (middle school) -> 7.15). Another pair were called up, the sparkling boy and the girl with pink skin.

"Hehe... So unimaginative. All of you." The boy started, while staring at you, yes you, and he jumped at the word "GO!" and he continued "If we can use our quirks... No better way than this!" While shooting out a laser from his stomach, but he stopped midway and fell before getting back up again and going for a second shot. The robot announced "5.51 seconds!"

"If I'd fired an instant earlier... My stomach would have exploded" He explained while staring at you. The pink skinned girl could only stare at him while thinking what's up with him.

(His time 8.25 (middle school) -> 5.51)

YUGA AOYAMA: HIS QUIRK NAVEL LASER. HE SHOOTS A LASER FROM HIS BELLY BUTTON! HIS RECOVERY TIME IS RESTRICTIVE THOUGH!

Due to the uneven number of the class, the last three were called up: Katsuki, Izuku, and Tori.

As Aizawa was observing the class he made another thought, they're pushing their quirks to their limits. By seeing how much they've improved... I can guess what, they're capable of, and what they're not. This is inevitably linked... to how creatively they use their abilities.

Tori made a dash towards the end propelling herself with her Gale and flying across with her wings. Her score 4.03 seconds.

Not bad... I guess I just need to get faster then. She thought. (6.30 (middle school) -> 4.03)

TORI TSUBASA: HER QUIRKS, WAIT QUIRKS! OKAY! HER FIRST QUIRK IS GALE: SHE CAN MANIPULATE WIND! HER OTHER QUIRK FALCON: SHE HAS THE ABILITIES AND LOOKS OF A FALCON!

Katsuki yelled out "Explosive speed!" and dashed towards the end while using his explosions as boosters. His score 4.13 seconds.

Using both hands distributes the force... He thought. (5.58 (middle school) -> 4.13)

KATSUKI BAKUGO: HIS QUIRK EXPLOSION!

Few seconds later Izuku finally made it to the end, not before hearing "7.02 seconds!" (7.49 (middle school) -> 7.02). Aizawa was mostly watching him, making some mental notes about him. Izuku could only think about how he has to regulate his quirk, but he couldn't.

FLASHBACK: TAKOBA MUNICIPAL BEACH

Tori, Izuku, and All Might were standing at the beach. Izuku asked him on what was the trick to regulate his quirk. His answer was "SENSATION!"

"Of course All Might!" Izuku can only say.

All Might then said "You've already experienced 100 percent power." Izuku finished "And it really messed me up."

He then asked "Then this should be easy! Remember how that felt? How was it?"

Izuku answered "Tingly, maybe? Or like 'foom'? Um yeah. Like an egg placed in a microwave..."

"Out of all the things to think about how it felt, and you say egg in a microwave?" Tori deadpanned at his simplicity yet a bit stupidly.

All Might laughed at the idea with a bit of blood "So plain. But unique!" He then explained on how he should imagine on how long the egg should cook and shorten the time.

BACK AT THE PRESENT

THE SECOND EVENT: GRIP STRENGTH

Izuku took the grip test device and squeezed it, only for his result to be 56 Kg. (40 Kg (middle school) -> 56 Kg).

Then a shout was heard "WOW!" He then sees two students around a tall bot with multiple arms.

"540 Kg?! Are you a gorilla? Or an octopus?" Asked a boy with elbows that look like tape dispensers.

Another boy commented "Octopus? Sexy." The taller boy in question only remained silent.

THE THIRD EVENT: STANDING LONG JUMP

The sparkling boy made the same move as the 50-meter dash. So did Katsuki, followed by Tori. Izuku only flopped on his behind while landing in the sand.

THE FOURTH EVENT: SIDE-STEPPING

The class could only see a purple blur going in between two clumps of balls.

THE FIFTH EVENT: THROWING

Ochaco used her quirk and threw the ball, as the ball flew higher and higher she watched it fly, while saying "Whoops!" Aizawa showed her result on the meter, it showed infinity. Many shouted out in amazement "Infinity! Wow! The infinity symbol actually popped up!"

Next was Izuku not before Tori telling him and gives him a thumbs up "You got this." He gave her a smile in gratitude.

Tenya commented "Midoriya isn't doing very well."

"Well, duh. He's a quirkless runt!" He stated like it was really obvious.

"Quirkless? So you haven't heard about his feats during the entrance exam?" asked Tenya.

"HUH?!" yelled out Katsuki.

Izuku was in his own mind, not hearing their comments. Mom, "Izuku you look great", he heard her mother, All Might, "You can be a hero", he heard his mentor, Tsubasa, "You got this", he heard his friend and training partner. I can do it! He yelled out in his mind.

As his arm glowed and about to make his throw, Aizawa's eyes opened wide and glowed red. Izuku heard his result "46 meters."

"Huh... But I was trying to use it..." He said quietly.

"I erased your quirk." said Aizawa. He turned and saw Aizawa with different look, his hair and scarf were floating.

From Tori's sharp falcon hearing she heard some rustling behind her and from the corner of her eye, with her sharp falcon sight, she could see All Might peeking from the corner. What the heck is he doing here? She questioned while giving him a blank stare. All Might felt eyes on him and he slightly flinched when he saw Tori staring at him.

"That ridiculous entrance exam... Completely irrational when you consider someone like you got in." said Aizawa.

"Erased? Those goggles of course!" Izuku exclaimed "He's the Erasure Hero: Eraserhead!" He announced.

TEACHER OF CLASS 1-A; SHOTA AIZAWA: HIS QUIRK ERASURE. HIS QUIRK NULLIFIES OTHERS' QUIRKS JUST BY LOOKING AT THEM!

"Eraser? I've never heard of him." One commented

Tsuyu then said "I think I've heard of him, he's an underground hero."

That's who he is, now I remember! I've met him before, when I was her on my second month and I saw him again on my fourth and sixth month. He kind of trained me, teaching me some of those cool tricks. I did some research on him, and I became a slight fan of his. Who knew that he would be my teacher! Thought Tori while fangirling a bit on the inside.

FLASHBACK; SOME MONTHS AGO

The scene shows Tori walking down the sidewalk on her way to the grocery store, it was late that night, but she decided to think of it as a challenge. As she goes on her way, she suddenly heard footsteps behind her, walking in the same pace and direction.

She slightly sped up testing the pursuer to see if he or she was following her. No surprise to her, he sped up as well, confirming that he or she was following her and possibly ready to attack her. She then all of a sudden halted herself, her pursuer kind of skidded across to stop themself. She used that opportunity to spin around and throwing an elbow punch. She saw whoever it was, was a man, possibly in his older 30s or younger 40s.

He got up and retaliated, by throwing a punch at her stomach. She tried to block it with her own fist but failed. The punch he threw was hard and knocked the wind out of her. She coughed and hacked as she was kneeling on the cold hard ground. The man laughed "Ha, you dumb girl, you thought you could beat me?" He taunted as he was about to grab her by the hair. Then all of a sudden a third figure came in, kicking the man away.

She looked up, not expecting some hero to save her, especially at the time she was out. Who she was another man, but far more tired, wearing black clothes, accompanied with a grey scarf, and a pair of yellow goggles.

"You know kids shouldn't be out here this late." He commented.

She then stupidly retorted "Well, I had him anyways." This made him slightly chuckle "Sure you did kid."

They then both heard footsteps, they looked in the direction of the sound and saw that the man was running away. Not today she thought, and she used Gale to slow him down. The tired man looks down at her in surprise with her quick reaction. He snapped out of it and he used his scarf to quickly capture and bind him.

She saw his action and was very impressed and she wanted to know more about him and what kind of a hero he was. "Excuse me?" She asked

The man then looked at her and gave her a look that said "Go on."

She took it as a sign to ask her question, "How did you do that? What fighting styles do you use?" He was a bit shocked that a kid asked him something that was related to him or his activity not something like All Might related or perhaps something more Hawks related.

He answered her questions and as the night went on, he escorted her home but not before giving her an offer, "If you want to learn some tricks, call this number." He gave her a slip of paper and left. She smiled widely and pocketed it. So cool! She fangirled.

FLASHBACK END; BACK AT THE PRESENT

"I saw it... How you can't control your quirk. You'd just be incapacitated again." said Aizawa and asked "Were you hoping someone would step in to help afterwards?"

"N-no it's not like that..." Replied Izuku. Aizawa then wrapped his scarf around the him and brought him closer.

"Whatever you were planning. It would have inconvenienced those around you." Said Aizawa.

He told him this, "Way back when, a certain hot-blooded hero saved over a thousand people during a disaster. He made himself a legend." He then compared Izuku to him "You've got the same reckless streak." Though not before making his own harsh opinion "But you're totally useless after saving just a single person."

He then told him "Izuku Midoriya. You cannot become a hero with that power of yours." He blinked and gave a sigh "You've got your quirk back... Give it another go. Let's get this over with."

The sparkling boy asked Ochaco "Are you worried about him? I'm... not worried at all." She slightly asks, "And who are you?"

"Seems like he received some special instruction." Commented Tenya.

"Yeah. The instruction to leave this school." Retorted Katsuki

Then Izuku gets ready for his second and final throw. Come on Izuku, you got this, show them your new power Tori thought.

As he made his throw, just at the last second, his finger glowed, and he yelled out "SMASH!" The throw created a huge gust of wind.

Aizawa looked at the meter, he was shocked to see his new score, 705.3 meters.

"Sensei..." Izuku said weakly "I can still move." While clenching his fist and giving a smile.

"This kid." Muttered Aizawa while giving a manic grin.
