━ synopsis!
⋆˚⋆⭒˚⋆˚⋆⭒˚｡⋆

VIOLET GILMORE, twenty-five-year-old daughter of Hartford's elite, Richard and Emily Gilmore, spent her whole childhood striving for perfection.

Perfect grades. Perfect attitude. Perfect life.

The list could go on until the end of time, becoming a mantra Violet recited to herself on chilly morning runs around the park, when her breath casted smoke into the air and the world had only just started to wake up along with her. The word "perfect" was drilled into the inner workings of her mind daily and religiously, as if it were a routine to be scheduled into the calendar.

Perfect was in her portrait in the dining room with her rosy cheeks and blonde hair everyone at school died for. Perfect was laced in every place setting, every carefully corrected position of a fresh rose, every single canapé that circle the endless parties the Gilmore family hosted in their home.

And, that was the way life in the Gilmore household worked ever since Violet could remember. When your mother was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R for short) and your father was in the insurance business, Violet couldn't settle for anything less than perfect.

Most of all, the Gilmore family wouldn't allow it.

It was just the way the world worked, in time with the Earth spinning on its axis.

Violet could have sworn that if there ever was a fork misplaced, or a china set tarnished, her mother's world would stop spinning all together.

Perfection was built into the Gilmore family's walls.

Though, Richard and Emily's beloved addiction to perfection and carefully constructed appearance of flawlessness almost fell to rubble when Violet was seven-years old, and her sixteen-year-old sister, Lorelai, fell pregnant and ran away after she had her baby.

Which left Violet all alone into walls built from resentment and loathing, cemented together with bitterness and painted with thick coats of pride.

After the birth of her niece, Violet walked inside the very plaid and old private school full of kids who didn't take very kindly to the new Gilmore Girl whose sister had a baby at sixteen.

So, ever since the second grade, Violet decided that the only way she could control her life in the present, was to control her future.

Because, in the future, Violet was going to be a perfect surgeon and prove all of those kids wrong who cursed her with pointed fingers and less than hushed whispers.

Therefore, after graduating Yale Medical School (where her last two years of college consisted of her living next door to her niece and control-freak friend by accident), Violet Gilmore moved to Seattle to begin her internship.

Though, everything was far from her usual perfect.

It was all going to shit.

❧OMG OMG HELLO!!!!!!! not anna publishing another fic when she can barely manage one but i couldn't not publish this one that's been collecting dust in my drafts for a year — it's literally a crossover of my two favourite things, gilmore girls and greys so it would've been rude not to publish it and i'm so excited to publish the first chapter when i'm done with it <3
