And You Thought She Didn't Exist
Guardian of writing! Reader x Bunnymund/ E. Aster Bunnymund
~~~~~~~~~~~
It was a normal day, people getting ready for the holidays, even if Halloween was right around the corner. Sure, it being just the first week or something like that of October and people were busting their butts off to get ready for Christmas and for coming up birthdays. Jack Frost working on the snowfall and spreading the fun around with the help of Jamie and his friends,
Tooth was sending her fairies to pick up teeth while fangirling over the children's teeth that are clean, Sandman was sending dreams to children who are asleep and making children fall asleep if they're still awake past their bedtime, Bunny was in his warren, keeping the peace, painting a few eggs here and there while helping them along,
North was packing up gifts, helping the yetis build toys, making Phil frustrated with colors, and trying to rememer who he's forgetting. He went into his office and sat down at his desk before watching his icemade train go along the traintracks. He sighed while eating a cookie... before remembering who he's forgetting. "Oh no, I forgot about (Y/n)," North thought to himself before getting back up and hurring along himself to make it to his sleigh.
(Y/n), one of the most unlikely choices of guardians. There is a guardian of spring, colors, and all of that, but no one ever really thought about writing. People thought of it as boring, unuseful in some forms, but it is very useful. Sure, seems like a easy job to make sure there are no writing mistakes or grammatical error, and all of that, but if you truly knew how hard it is, you would be understanding of why (Y/n) is forgotten at times.
She's always so busy keeping the balance of reality and fantasy in order so nothing ends up going wrong. Last time she left for one second on her first day of being a guardian, a mystical creature came out and started attacking all of the animals made of words(not one word to show what the animal is, multiple words to make the shape of the animal).
If (Y/n) hadn't been practicing her powers and messing around a bit, there might be a bit of a hiccup in life with the lifeforms. But thankfully, she was able to send the mystical creature back. North felt guilty for forgetting about her, he saw her as a daughter and (Y/n) saw him as a father.
North was about to take off when Bunny just so happened to appear behind him. "Oi mate, what ya up to?" Bunny asked North who turned and faced Bunny. "I'm going to see my daughter. Want to come?" North asked, smiling. Bunny was shocked, North had a daughter?! This is unbelievable. Bunny's ear flicked a bit before he reponded with, "Sure. I have nothing better to do. Just please no rough flying or anything."
"No promises!" North said as Bunny got in North's sleigh. North took off, fast while Bunny tried his best not to get sick. North grabbed his magical snowglobe and threw it after whispering to it, "Wiriter's Speare." They went through to a dark void when seemed so empty that there might be no floor or walls. "Uh, North, where are we?" Bunny asked, clearly more terrified now. "The Writer's Speare!" North spoke as the neared a strange cloud thing.
When they entered, they saw a small field with a hill that had a sakura tree.
Once they landed, Bunny hopped out and looked around. "Whoa... I never seen anything so--" "Spetatualr? Magnificent?" Bunny looked at North who spoke those two words while grinning. "No, I was going to say beautifully amazing," Bunny replied back as North and him went up to the tree. When they got there, they saw a woman with (h/l) that is (h/c) while hef clothes were simple, a white t-shirt with a text that said, "Writing is Power" while her pants were normal blue jeans with a few rips.
"(Y/n)! There you are!" North called to the woman causing her to squeal out of fear before falling down. Bunny caught her. "Sheila, are you okay?" Bunny asked as (Y/n) was placed down carefully. "Yes, I am fine. Nicolas, it's lovely to see you again. I never thought you would come back," the woman spoke as she moves her hair out of her face that showed her (e/c) eyes and fair (s/n). "Of course I would! I would never leave you in the dust of words," North spoke.
"North, you said she's your daughter," Bunny spoke to North causing him to react. "Not by blood or anything, we act like father and daughter." "In all honestly, Nicolas is more of a grandfather to me," (Y/n) spoke causing North to hold his chest and feel hurt. "Because he's father Christmas while I'm just a simple guardian that no one believes in," (Y/n) continued causing Bunny to stare at her.
"Right! Where are my manners! Come! Lets not stay out here. You both most be a bit peckish," (Y/n) spoke as she led Bunny and North to a simple cabin with a garden of flowers, blowing softly in the wind like the mane of a horse who is runnung swiftly in the wind.
The walk in to see that it's simple inside as it is outside. The boys sat down at a table as (Y/n) went to the kitchen to get some snacks. "So North, tell me a bit about her, mate," Bunny spoke as North started with, "Well... she's always had a knack for writing when she was just a wee child. She's been a orphan since her mother died and her father disappeared, she was always msde fun of for her stories, she had cancer, she never dated anyone, she loves--"
"Wait, wait, wait, she had cancer?" Bunny asked North as North sighed and said, "Yes. She HAD cancer. But luckily she was saved in the nick of time." Bunny sighed. "I'm glad she made it," Bunn spoke as (Y/n) came back with some cookies and a slice of carrot cake. They talked, getting to know each other.
"Okay, okay, wait, you need to tell me that you can made just about anything or change anything?" Bunny asked as (Y/n) nodded after pulling out her notebook. "Kinda, but everything does have it's limits. So I can't bring back the dead, can't really make life unless it has a backstory, and I can't really make anyone fall in love with each othef due to that being Cupid's job.
Just then a cat, compeletely made of words jumps up on the table and meows. "One of the many examples of me trying to make life without a backstory. It was so lonely that I made animal friends. Kinda, but I can't just get rid of them, so they live with me. The place can get lonely, but I can't just leave. I'll leave these guys defenseless if something or someone were to come in and attack," (Y/n) spoke to the two men before North thought for a bit and before asking "Have you tried making a backstory for a warrior?"
"I tried, but... he couldn't hold together thanks to the story I gave him. And after what happened, I couldn't bring myself to do it," she explained while petting the word cat. North grabbed (Y/n)'s hand and held it while saying, "(Y/n), you need to have hope in yourself. I know you can do it. Besides, only you can write amazing characters." (Y/n)'s eyes shined brightly causing Bunny's heart to skip a beat.
Bunny was having so many thoughts run through his head when it came down to (Y/n)'s shine in her eyes. "Alright. Thank you for giving me inspiration North," (Y/n) said before getting up and heading downstairs, writing something in her notebook as a small glow comes from the book.
"Ha! She called me by North!" North cheered as Bunny was stuck in thought about (Y/n). Meanwhile while down at the bridge between reality and fantasy, (Y/n) was writing and writing as the glowing in her book was getting brighter with every word she wrote.
"And so, the brave knight went to stay by the guardian's side as not only as her warrior, but as her friend. He had went to do this to not be wealthy or to murder souls, but to keep the balance of reality and fantasy. His family was joyest and amazed that the brave knight was able to become a hero and protecter while the guardian was able to work on children's imagination and the people in her realm while keeping the animals calm and to see her family after so long. I call apon you, Brave Knight, join forces with me and keep this realm in peace and harmony,"
after (Y/n) wrote that, she placed the notebook down on the floor and watched as the Brave Knight came up kn colors, body shape, armor, and no body parts made of words. "Brave Knight, you know your job, correct?" she asked as he replied in a raspy voice that sounded a bit western with a hint of Australian, "Aye. Protect the gates of reality and fantasy." "Correct. Your name shall be Jones," (Y/n) said with a smile on her face while Jones nodded and said, "This be a honor, lass. I won't let you down."
Once Jones went to do his job, (Y/n) went up to the main room. "Okay, lets go. Jones is working and is doing amazing," (Y/n) spoke as North and Bunny got up. "Alright! We'll be outside waiting for you," North said as (Y/n) went to get a pack ready while North and Bunny left to the sleigh. "So Bunny, your thoughts on her?" North asked, nudging Bunny's side. "What? Oi, you better not be thinkin' and I think you're thinking mate!"
Bunny's ears were a bit pink from being flustered and embarrassed. North laughed as he pat Bunny's back.
After some time, (Y/n), North, and Bunny were at the Pole. (Y/n) was amazed by everything, even the elves. "Amazing. These little guys don't show any brain smarts, but they are incredibly adorable in their own way," (Y/n) thought to herself as she watched the elves be themselves, being extremely weird and disgusting like toddlers. (Y/n) was extremely happy to be here. Tooth, Sandman, and Jack came in and saw (Y/n) helping Phil paint little toy robots.
"Now Phil, I know North likes to make things hard on you guys, so just think of it as a game. Paint one half red the other blue so in case North tells you to paint it red or blue, just show him that it's half red and half blue, okay?" (Y/n) asked Phil as he was kinda confused, but understood.
"Aw, but that's always fun," North whined a bit making (Y/n) looked at him with a blank expression. "Torturing someone by telling them to paint it blue then red then blue again is not fun. Now behave yourself North," (Y/n) spoke making Jack laugh, startling (Y/n).
She set down the toy and paint brush before tackling Jack to the ground and giving him a noogie. "JACK FROST, BEEN FOREVER," Bunny was shocked by (Y/n) sudden action. "Same here (N/n(nickname))." "You both know each other?" Tooth asked as Sand made a question mark with his sand over his head.
"Yeah. Jack-a-boy here is like a brother to me," (Y/n) spoke, friendzoning the shit out of Jack. "And she's the definition of little sister in my book," Jack spoke making (Y/n) bonk him upside the head again. "Ha ha, very funny. Be lucky I haven't send any wordland creatures," she spoke as Jack and (Y/n) kept talking and talking while Bunny was getting jealous.
"Bunny, you okay? You seem a bit more angrier at Jack than ever before," Tooth spoke while placing a hand in his shoulder. "Oh, I'm fine mate. Just s bit on edge," Bunny spoke as Sandy made two sand figures over his head. One looked like Jack and the other (Y/n). Sandy made them kiss causing Bunny and swat his hand over the sand. "Okay, so maybe I am a bit more angry, so what?" Tooth and Sandy looked over at each other and smiled.
North went to Jack and (Y/n). "So bookworm, any thoughts on the others?" Jack asked making (Y/n) pout at her nickname Jack gave her.
"One, don't call me that Frosty, two, Tooth is a nice gal who need to lay off on checking teeth on random people she meets, Sandy is a good guy who helping children around the world sleep and dream. Most times when the children fall asleep and dream, they dream amazing things causing them to wake up the next morning and write amazing stories based on their dreams. Bunny is nice and amazing with his work, but can take it down a tad on looking like a kangaroo," (Y/n) started making Jack laugh.
North chuckled before asking, "And us?" "And three, I won't tell you guys how I think of you. Snooze you lose." (Y/n) walked off to talk to Sandy and Tooth while Bunny hopped over to Jack and North. "She's a real work," Jack spoke while watching (Y/n) with North. "But that's what makes her special. I'm sure Bunny can handle her!" North said with joy in his voice while Bunny rolled his eyes.
Jack chuckled and said to Bunny, "And You Thought She Didn't Exist." causing Bunny to chase Jack down, ready to murder him.
Maybe, who knows. Let your imagination run wild on the ending of this for now, because right now, I'm lazy. When I'm not lazy, I'll make a second part.
Also, y'all didn't expect me to write something like this, eh? I mean, it is about 2374 words right thanks to this part. Welp, BAI!
