this is my show

rowyn was sitting in class beside scarlett doing the homework her teacher had just passed out. scarlett meanwhile was doodling away in her sketchbook bored out of her mind. their teacher didn't have much for them to do today, basically was a free day which they all knew to cherish

because they barley get any free days when in school. after the first two weeks of school that is when it is crunch time. bardstown high is one of the top ranked high schools in kentucky. there are high expectations for each student within this school. some parents have their kids driving out to attend school here.

some range from a thirty minute drive to an hour drive just to go to school here. while bardstown is a relatively small town, many powerful people live within the town and have invested a lot of money into making sure the students have a good experience elementary through high school wise.

the school is excellent from their clubs to extra curricular activities to sports. there is definitely something for everyone to do. meanwhile.... rowyn isn't apart of anything. she just goes to school then goes straight home.

her parents forbid her from doing anything because they want her to focus on her studies. rowyn is a sophomore. her class consists of five hundred something students with her being ranked number one for the highest gpa. she is on track to be valedictorian.

rowyn constantly stays ahead that way she doesn't ever get far behind. her management with classes and homework is quite impressive for her age. scarlett suddenly scoffed sounding truly disgusted about something, the scoff alerted rowyn who looked up and over at her. she frowned intensely, "what?"

scarlett laughed quietly pointing forward towards chase and giana, their classmate who is to say the least a wild one. she has no self respect for herself, racking up on bodies as if they are her breakfast, lunch and dinner. it was sad to see because she is such a beautiful girl and actually sweet as ever but she is just as naive.

she thinks in order for a guy to like you, that you have to do something sexual with them or they have to do something sexual to you. she has thought that since freshman year.

giana lost her virginity when she was only thirteen years old and ever since she lost it, she has lost complete control of herself. despite all of it, she actually is an amazing student. pretty much everyone is always talking about her considering every one or two weeks there is a new story out there about her

rowyn shrugged not seeing anything out of the ordinary. she looked at scarlett perplexed, "i don't see what the issue is scar."

scarlett rolled her eyes, "it's right there in front of you. look down in between their chairs." she whispered, rowyn felt her eyes roll to the back of her head as she thought her bestfriend was playing a joke on her

rowyn noticed a huge blanket draped over the both of them which made her feel disoriented. it looked like something was moving on top of giana's lap, rowyn shook her head still not getting it. she noticed that giana was tightly gripping the front legs of her chair, her knuckles were white.

rowyn scoffed quietly, "oh!" she quietly said nodding not really knowing how to react to getting a front row seat to chase fingering giana

"no decorum." scarlett announced not giving a shit. chase was too busy pumping his fingers deep into giana to even hear what the two were saying behind him. everyone else in the class slowly picked up on it as their teacher was too busy finishing up some things on her computer

the intercom then buzzed quickly around the entire vicinity of the classroom. "rowyn walsh please go to see the guidance counselor. rowyn walsh please go see the guidance counselor, thank you!!" the principal said hanging up the phone quickly

"ooooo!!!" everyone instigated

one student looked at her with a smirk, "what have you done little miss redhead?" bryan asked with a playful smirk crossing his arms

their teacher didn't even have to look up from her computer, "bryan, leave her alone." she warned while rowyn packed her backpack quickly zipping it up

"you know mrs. jade... it seems my fingers are sticky. may i go to the bathroom to wash my hands?" scarlett leaned closer saying that as loudly as possible, everyone bursted out into laughter losing their damn minds

mrs. jade nodded, "go ahead. come and get the bathroom pass." she pointed at it then continued on with her typing. rowyn chuckled at how stupid her bestfriend is. giana blushed as she climaxed holding back moans

rowyn began to walk out of the classroom with scarlett right behind her. when they shut the door, rowyn smacked her upside the head. "scarlett you are so messy for that."

scarlett shrugged walking the opposite way beginning to walk backwards. she raised her hands in the air pretending to be confused, "i speak the truth. i need to regroup after that." she turned around walking to the bathroom

rowyn shook her head heading downstairs to the first floor where the guidance counselors office is.  she stood in front of the door with her eyes scanning across the wooden door nameplate. she softly knocked on the door getting a quick response from the aiphone audio door station, "come in rowyn!"

rowyn opened the door carefully walking in. there was a tiny hallway before entering her office. she walked down it with her eyes meeting with ms. olive's hazel eyes. "how are you doing rowyn?" she motioned to the chair placed across from her office desk, rowyn took her backpack off her back sitting down right beside the chair taking a seat

rowyn shrugged, "i'm alright. why did you call me in here?" she asked feeling weird because she rarely ever gets called out of class. out of her whole time in high school, she can count on one hand how many times she has talked to olive.

"you're one of the best students i have seen within this school."

rowyn nodded leading with knitted eyebrows. she said, "thank you?" more as a question than a statement

olive clasped her hands together pushing her chair closer to her desk, "rowyn, sweetheart... what are your goals? where do you want to go to school?" rowyn was so lost by the sudden care in the world. she is not used to it.

"i'm asking you because i just want to help you get prepared before senior year. these first two years are just as if not more important than your final two years in high school." she explained

rowyn nodded happy to get more context, "i just want to be valedictorian and go to an ivy league school." she answered with an honest remark

"why?" olive asked with confusion

"i want one of my kids to at least get into an ivy league school" her mother's voice appeared in her head suddenly

her father's voice crept up next, "being valedictorian is the biggest expectation i have of you, rowyn"

"do i need to have a reason?" rowyn asked getting defensive, crossing her legs. olive nodded not taking her coldness to heart

"you do." olive licked her lips, "but it is okay. you are not obligated to tell me. but in order for you to have a great chance to get accepted into an ivy league school—-"

"i have good grades, did pretty decent on the act. i'm at the top of my class, shouldn't that be enough?" rowyn asked

"pretty decent?" olive couldn't help but to laugh, "rowyn you got a 36, which is a perfect score. give yourself a pat on the back for once."

after olive got herself back together, she cleared her throat getting back to the main problem, "one thing that will help is if you join at least one club or sporting team. you still have at least a week to scope around and check things out, see where you think you will thrive."

"i do volunteer stuff at my church all the time, does that count?" rowyn asked trying to do anything to get out of joining a club

"it does count but i think you would do amazing in our art program. you clearly have a knack for art and i know you helped the principal making an art piece for the upcoming pep rally and are going to help the cheerleaders make posters soon." olive mentioned sounding persuasive

"my parents won't let me. they want me to focus on my studies." she said sounding deflated

olive nodded, "i'll talk to them."

"i wouldn't get too excited about it. they aren't too big on changing their minds when they have already said no." rowyn warned her

her other three siblings were involved within club and sports activities. ellie was a cheerleader, the captain for four years. she had all eyes on her when it came down to friday nights. she had something the other girls didn't plus she was one of the only ones who truly loved being out there cheering on the team. ellie was awarded as an all american her freshman year which is a huge deal.

bree on the other hand was a basketball player and track runner. one of the best point guards the school has ever seen. also has broken a ton of track records.

taryn is a full time cheerleader, one of the best on the team practically following in ellie's footsteps. each sister had a special gift.

the bell quickly rang, "i'll be talking to you soon, go ahead and get to your next class." olive insisted, rowyn just sighed grabbing her backpack and quietly leaving

"have a good day rowyn!" olive yelled out

"you too." rowyn mumbled leaving out of her office getting through the crowded hallway. she made eventually made it back upstairs and was the first one in class yet again

after school, it was practice time for the football players. they all were dressed up in their scrimmage uniforms doing different drills. the coach currently had his candidates for starting quarterback throwing footballs to the offensive players

coach taylor was watching keeping his eyes on them all making sure he was about to make the right decision. he has been the coach of the bardstown bears for fifteen years

bringing home twelve state championships. having some of the best players on the team and always helping turn these boys into men. many of them have even gone on to go into the nfl and have successful careers still to this day

"chase!! come here son!" he yelled making him quickly jog over to him. chase stood tall and confident in front of his new football coach

his football helmet was on his head, "take the helmet off for a second."

"yes sir." chase did as he was told quickly running his fingers through his now damp hair. he held his helmet down by his side in his right hand

"you're going to be my starting quarterback." coach taylor announced with no emotions

"yes sir." chase said with a quick nod. "that doesn't mean that you don't have to prove yourself out here every single day. things can change after one game, or one practice. you hear what i am saying?"

chase nodded, "i hear you loud and clear, sir."

"alright now get back over there with the team." chase then put his helmet on jogging back over, he could feel a smile creep upon his face now knowing he was the star quarterback

meaning much more attention would be on him

practically almost at 3k reads. ily all so much❤️
