power flows within her effortlessly
"I'M GOING TO CHECK ON IZUKU," Ivette announced, breaking the comfortable silence surrounding the four soulmates. She took a step back, and Todoroki tensed. He was the reason why Midoriya was in the infirmary. He had injured his soulmate's twin. (He hadn't. Izuku injured himself).
Ivette noticed this and stopped him. "It's fine," she reassured, a gentle smile sprawled across her lips. "I think that match woke both of you up." With a wave as a goodbye, Ivette headed to the recovery room, entering the door with a colourful banner on top, reading Recovery Girl's Temporary Nurse's Office. Ivette's face fell, concern rewiring her brain as she spotted Izuku heavily bandaged on one of the beds.
"Ivette," breathed Izuku, noticing the greenette entering the room. Ivette could hear the pain laced with each syllabus, and she didn't like that.
"How is he?" she asked Recovery Girl.
"The bones in his right arm were shattered. It'll never be the same as it was before," the healer informed, turning to Izuku, who let out occasional grunts and whimpers. "I need to remove the pieces of bone to make sure they don't stay in your joints. I'll heal you after that."
Ivette's frown deepened. Her brother was so stupidly reckless. He needs to learn to mind his own business, she thought. Otherwise, he's going to get hurt really bad one day.

Her gaze flew up to All Might, narrowing in on him.
Recovery Girl seemed to have the same train of thought as her. "To push and light a fire under a child who would destroy his body this much for what he yearns for...I don't like it. You're going too far," she said. "You, and this boy."
Ivette couldn't agree more.
"You can't praise him for this."
All Might bowed his head in shame. He understood. He was pushing Midoriya too far, too fast. He needed to teach him how to use One for All properly — the correct way. All Might wasn't a teenager anymore. He wasn't young, nor was he in his prime (that much was evident from the USJ battle). He needed to act his age now.
No more reckless decisions, he thought. I have the Midoriyas to take care of now.
The dark green band around his wrist told him everything he needed to know.
Ivette sighed, breaking the awkward silence in the room. "Here," she started, raising her arm and hovering her hand over Izuku's broken leg. Her quirk activated, eyes glowing. Green wisps seeped out of her hand, tendrils flowing to his leg and embedding themselves into his skin. The veins in her arm began to glow, transferring the energy from her body into his. Izuku needed it more than her. Besides, she could always gather more from the air.
Every moving particle had energy. Meaning, energy was all around her. If Ivette focused enough, she could use it to fuel her power.
Science.
It's simple.
The entity in her head was proud of his master's development. She was finally embracing her power. And one day, he would aid her in securing the world with that spectacular power of hers.
Because, fundamentally, it was all her.
All Ivette.
The power that thrums in her veins belonged solely and wholly to Ivette Midoriya.
The entity in her head was just a by product of the detrimental society she lived in. He was her friend when the world shunned her. And he would continue to be her friend and her loyal servant when the world kneeled for her.
"H-How are you doing that?" awed All Might, eyes widening.
"I learnt this trick from one of the books you bought," she replied nonchalantly, shrugging her shoulders.
All Might was touched. She read them? His eyes lit up. He was glad she was reading the books he got her to help give insight to her quirk. He didn't really care if Ivette liked him or not (that's such a lie. He cared. A lot). All Might just wanted to help the girl. They were going to see each other a lot in the future now. Their futures were intertwined now. The least All Might could do was help her out with her quirk. Just like how he was helping Izuku out with his quirk.
The door to the infirmary slammed open, startling All Might, blood spewing out of his mouth instinctively.
"Midoriya!"
"Deuk!"
Ivette glanced over, spotting Uraraka, Iida, Tsu and Mineta hurrying in.
"You scared me..." All Might muttered, sweatdropping. He reached up to loosen his tie, his heart racing in his ribcage.
"Are you okay?!" Uraraka asked, stepping forward. She noticed an unfamiliar blond beside the bed and nodded her head out of respect. "Oh, nice to meet you..."
All Might smiled somewhat sheepishly. "Yeah..." he replied, not knowing what else to say to one of his students. They didn't know him in this form.

Ivette rolled her eyes and concentrated on her quirk, beginning to feel the toll washing over her as a consequence.
"You're all so noisy," Recovery Girl complained.

Izuku's eyes fluttered open, hazily taking in the sight of his friends. "Everyone...what about the next match?"
"Since there was a lot of damage to the stage, they're taking a break to repair it," Iida explained. Mineta stood beside the group, shaking.
"That match earlier was scary, Midoriya..." he said, a gloomy, murky aura overlapping him. "What pro's gonna want that?"
If not for Tsu sticking her tongue into his ear, Ivette would've thrown him out. "I don't like your style of rubbing salt into his wound."
"But it's true!"
"Be quiet, now!" Recovery Girl walked up to the group by the door, raising her arms, a motion for them to leave. "I know you're worried, but I've got to do surgery now."
"Surgery?!" they all screeched.
"Go on now, get out of here."
"B-But..."
"Surgery's a big deal, isn't it?"
"Will his injuries be completely healed?"
Recovery continued shooing them out, waving her arms and pushing them out. "Don't worry about that. Just leave it to me!"
"Ribbit."
The door to the infirmary was shut, and Ivette sighed heavily. She appreciated the concern her classmates were showing to her twin but did they not understand that he needed rest?
"I'm sorry." Ivette and All Might turned to Izuku, seeing him lean into the bed, eyes shut. "I couldn't do what you asked," he continued.
"I want you to tell the world I am here!"
"If only I hadn't said anything...It's because I said that to Todoroki...that I..."
All Might turned to his student. "You were trying to get him to realise something," he stated.
"It's true...Todoroki looked so sad that I meddled when I didn't need to."
Ivette's lip curved into a sombre smile. She could hear her brother's thoughts in her head, which did surprise her a little. Normally she would need to activate her quirk to listen to people's inner thoughts. Ivette didn't think much of it, brushing it off as her close connection with the boy.
The entity in her head knew why.
Ivette was growing stronger.
"But that's not it. More importantly, back then, I was just frustrated." Her heart broke at the crack in his voice. "I couldn't see in front or around me...I'm sorry."
"It's true that it is a regrettable result," began All Might, a pained expression on his face upon seeing his disciple laying on the bed with broken bones. He could see his veins run green, Ivette's energy flowing into his body and giving fuel for his cells to regenerate. "Saying what you did was foolish won't change that."
Ivette glanced up, eyes narrowed. I'll kill you if you upset him.

"But you know, meddling when you don't need to... is the essence of being a hero."
Satisfied with his choice of words, Ivette turned her gaze to Izuku. "Zuku," she called, moving closer, sitting on the edge of the bed. "I—"
"Midoriya-san!"
All eyes turned to the door, spotting Iida panting heavily at the door.
"Yes?" she questioned.
"It's your match now," Iida informed.
Ivette rolled. Her lips parted, ready to ask him to do it for her, when Izuku nudged her lightly, cringing at the eruption of pain in his arms. "Go, Ivette," he urged. "I'll be fine."
She pursed her lips.
His lips spread into a pained smile. "Seriously," he reassured.
"Fine," she acquiesced. "I'll be back in ten."
And she meant it. Izuku and All Might were worried that she would drop out, but Ivette needed to release the irritation building up. She walked to the arena, disregarding the student behind her. Ivette was focused on one thing and one thing only. Returning to her brother.
"Ivet—"
She brushed past her classmates, entering the field and ignoring Present Mic's exaggerated announcement. Her eyes landed on her opponent, a girl with vines for hair. Must be her quirk, she thought, eyes alighting a dark green. Information about the girl flooded through her mind, all from Ibara Shiozaki's perspective. Humble— memories of the girl's childhood flashed through her mind— religious...oh? Interesting. She's not as pure as she'd like to portray.
Ivette deactivated her quirk, eyes returning to their normal colour.
Not worth my time.
As soon as Midnight gave the go, Ibara launched an attack with her vines, racing across the air, ready to incapacitate her. A flash of green appeared before Ivette, a misty barrier blocking all attacks. She stood with her arms crossed over her chest, waiting for the girl to realise that she was wasting her energy trying to bypass her shield.
How annoying.
Ibara pulled back with a frown.
Ivette looked over with a blank expression. "Done?" she asked, shifting her weight onto both feet. "If so–" she rose her hands, luminescent green vapour manifesting–"let's end this."
With one flick of her wrist, Ibara was hurled out of the arena, a blast of green inflicting the push. She flew all the way to the wall, bouncing off the energy Ivette sent to soften her blow.
Ivette wasn't that cruel.
Midnight blinked, her brain taking a minute to process the information. A grin stretched across her face. "Shiozaki, out of bounds!" she announced, raising her whip through the air. "Midoriya wins!"
Ivette didn't wait a single second, nodding her head to the girl our of respect and turning on her heel to return back to her brother. Ibara watched her leave, her heart pounding in her chest.
Stars shone in her eyes.
She's so cool!
༺═──────────────═༻
Ivette leant on the wall, overhearing the conversation shared between Izuku and All Might. The revelation of All Might's previous quirklessness was nothing new to her. She had read his mind. She knew everything about him.
"At first, I saw the old me in you. But you have gone beyond what I imagined, time and time again. There is something that only you can draw out. I believe that."
"I'm sorry..."
See? There's nothing to worry about.
A smile curled at the ends of Ivette's lips.
I know.
Someone else disagreed.
But he sat quiet. The entity that lived in her mind would wait patiently.
He would wait until Ivette's deepest, repressed wishes burst forth. And when he finally heard the words he so desperately wanted to hear, the metaphysical being would take matters into his own hands and make his master's desires all come true.
