TW- Yelling, crying, panic
********************************

"Shit, shit, shit" Harry cursed as he hurriedly put his shoes on before rushing out of the dorm room to his first class of the day, Potions.

"Why the bloody Hell didn't anyone wake me up?" He thought as he rushed down the corridors and moving stairs.

He soon reached his destination and slowed down, took a deep breath to try and control his breathing before he opened the door and quietly walked into the classroom, hoping that in some way Snape wouldn't notice him.

"Nice of you to finally join us, Mr.Potter," Snape said in his usual monotoned, drawn-out way.

Harry paused and turned to look at Snape. "Good morning Professor," he said with a small forced smile.

"Because you decided it was alright to be late to my class, you get to partner with Mr.Malfoy today," Snape said dully making Harry look over at the blond boy who scoffed when he heard his words.

"Is there a problem Mr.Malfoy?" Snape asked as he looked over at Draco.

"No professor," Draco said quickly before looking down at his cauldron. He was different now, after the war. Everyone is but he is more so than others.  It seemed like he wanted to keep up his annoyed rich daddy's boy attitude as the other years but also didn't want to, nor had the confidence to do so anymore.

"Good," Snape said before looking back at Harry. "Well, don't just stand there." He said with a light glare.

Harry gave a small nod before walking over to the spot beside Draco.

"You all may begin working on your potions, Mr.Malfoy, please fill Mr.Potter in on what you two will be making," Snape said to the class before going to stand at the front of the room to look over the entire class at once.

Everyone began making their potions as Draco turned to Harry.

"We were all given a different page number and we had to make the potion that was on that page. I got the page with the anti-aging potion on it so that is what we have to make." Draco explained though he didn't look at Harry as he spoke, instead his eyes stayed on the book, scanning over the recipe as if he needed to memorize it before it would change at any given moment.

"Alright," Harry answered simply with another small nod before he looked over the list of items they needed.

"I'll get what we need, don't touch anything until I tell you to alright?" Draco said when he saw Harry looking at the list of items.

Harry simply nodded, not wanting to start a useless argument. Draco left to get the items they needed and Harry began to clear space on their desks to use for cutting space.

Then he felt something small hit the back of his head.

He turned around to see the item was a small crumpled-up piece of paper and the person that had thrown it was Ron.

"Mate, why were you late to class?" Ron asked in a somewhat loud whisper, not wanting Snape to hear but also wanting to be loud enough that Harry could hear him.

"Because my alarm didn't go off and none of you blokes woke me up." Harry hissed back at the same volume as Ron.

"I left early in the morning, they were serving chicken scones and I wanted to make sure I got some before the others, I thought someone else would wake you. Sorry mate." Ron said, smiling when he thought about what he had for breakfast earlier.

"Enough chatter you two, get to work." Snape's voice startled them both, making them quickly shut up with a small snicker to each other before they looked away.

"Here, you can begin chopping the unicorn horn," Draco said as he set his arms full of items down on the desk between them.

"Alright," Harry said as he looked at the book to see how small they needed to be cut before they were correct.

The two worked in mostly silence, Darco occasionally telling Harry what to do when, but other than that they didn't speak to each other until it was time to put the ingredients into the cauldron.

"You have to put the unicorn horn in before the unicorn hair, BEFORE!" Draco yelled when he realized what Harry was doing.

Harry was startled by Draco's sudden yell making him drop both items into the potion at the same time.

"No!" Draco said, knowing they would have to start the potion all over again if he wasn't able to get the items out in time.

He quickly grabs the cauldron and tilts it towards himself so he can try to remove the unicorn hair but it's too late.

The potion turns a deep purple color before it lets out a small explosion. The explosion catches Draco off-guard and makes him let go of the pot.

It rolls to the side, splashing it all over Harry's chest.

Harry's eyes widen as the potion hits his chest. "It's cold, it's so cold, it's freezing, I'm freezing." He thinks rapidly as he lets out a cry of pain, he tries to take his robes off to get the most of it off of him but it already seeped into his clothes and was on his skin.

He let out a strangled sob of pain before he passed out cold. His body fell hard and fast but Draco was able to catch him before he landed on the ground.

Everyone in the class was staring at them now, frozen in shock and somewhat horror.

"What happened?" Snape asked as he rushed over to the two on the floor, his cape swishing behind him, nearly hitting Nevil as he walked past him.

"He put the unicorn hair and unicorn horn at the same time and then the potion got on him," Draco answered quickly as he shifted his hold on Harry so none of the potion would get onto him or his clothes.

Snape nodded, "He will be fine, take him to the hospital wing." he said with a calmer look in his eye, now knowing what happened.

"We'll take him," Hermione said as she shot up from her seat, Ron following suit and following her over to them.

"No, Mr.Malfoy is the cause of his predicament, he will take care of it. You may visit him after class is over." Snape said as Draco cast a feather-light charm on Harry before picking him up bridal style.

"But-" Ron said, starting to protest before Snape cut him off, "But nothing." He said, his tone firm and unchanging.

Ron and Hermione both flattered at that before they returned to their seats as Draco began walking Harry to the hospital wing.
