cinnamon in my ice cream,
like crunching down almonds in the car
while we drive up the canyon
to walk in the creek.
Her smile is like
a green lightbulb;
her smile makes everything brighter
in a way that I didn't expect.
Her smile is like
waking up tired with her next to me,
hogging all the blankets,
like getting up in the morning to go to school
when she is still there.
Her smile is
everything good I have shared with her,
and everything in the world.
