Imagine the guys of Anthem Lights staying at your apartment for a few hours and they beg you to make them dinner. As you are cooking, Joey decides to surprise you.

I was in my apartment, on my couch watching TV when there was a knock on my door. I paused the show and sleepily walked to the door. I opened it and my tired eyes instantly widened with happiness as they landed on my four best friends in front of me. They started drooping down when I noticed that my crush wasn't with them.

"Where's Joey?" I asked. Alan looked at me sadly. He was the only one that knew of my crush.

"He'll be here shortly, don't worry Madi" he reassured you by placing a hand on your shoulder. You smiled and moved aside.

"Ok, come on in guys. You can change the channel if you want" I called after them as they entered the living room. I closed the door and entered the living room and sat in an arm chair close to a window on the left side of the TV. I looked out the window for awhile, oblivious to the loud voices coming from my right. I didn't know I had been daydreaming until I was hit in the head with a pillow. My attention was on the guy a few meters away from me.

"What do you need, Spencer?" I asked annoyed. He looked at me with a scared look plastered on his face. I smiled.

"Don't worry I'm not mad, just thinking" I said and looked back out the window.

"We want dinner" I turned to see all of the guys looking my way and nodding their heads. I rolled my eyes.

"Ok fine. What do you guys want?" I asked no one in particular.

"Well since Joey is lactose intolerant, can you make cheese less pizza?" Caleb asked. I nodded and went to the kitchen. I got out the ingredients and started making a cheese less pizza. After I had put it in the oven, I turned around but almost immediately stopped. There in front of me was Joseph Stamper. He had flowers in his hand. I looked at him confused. Without giving me a chance to speak, he started talking.

"Madi we have been friends f..for awhile and I was w..wondering if you would go o..on a date with me?" he stuttered. I had the biggest smile on my face. I walked up to him and wrapped my arms around his torso.

"I would love to, Joey" I replied. Now it was his turn to smile. He put the flowers down and hugged me tightly. We heard cheering from the living room and pulled apart. I saw the guys watching us and clapping.

"It's about time" Chad said and I laughed. I looked back to Joey who was smiling and holding my hand.

"Yeah it is" I said and hugged him again.
