Imagine being married to Chad Graham and it being your first Christmas as a married couple.

I was humming Christmas songs as I was decorating mine and Chad's new house. We had just moved in a couple weeks ago. I'm extremely happy because this is our first Christmas as a married couple. The tree was already up and I was putting a few Christmas ornaments on it. As that was halfway finished, I started cutting pieces of paper and making snowflakes out of it. I taped them to a piece of string, then grabbed a stepping stool, stood on it, and taped the snowflakes to the ceiling. I always did it as a child so Chad probably won't get upset. As I was standing on the stool, I heard the front door slam shut. It scared me and I started falling off of the stool. I closed my eyes, preparing to hit the hard ground, but instead felt strong arms catch me. I opened my eyes and saw Chad's smiling face.

"I guess you couldn't help, but fall for me" he said and I rolled my eyes. His face turned serious in a matter of seconds.

"Nicole, are you alright? Are you hurt?" I smiled at how much he cared for me. I cupped his cheek with my right hand and placed my forehead against his.

"I'm ok" I replied, then gently placed my lips on his for reassurance. I pulled back to see him smiling. He put me down and looked around. He gasped.

"This place is beautiful" he breathed out. I smiled at him.

"There are still Christmas ornaments that need to be hung" I remembered. He looked at me and smiled.

"I mean if you want to finish decorating the tree, you don't have to" he gave me a look that said 'Really, who do you think you're talking to'. I smiled as I walked over to the tree and bent down to get a Christmas ornament from the box below me. As I was about to put it on the tree I instantly remembered when I got it. I got it for Christmas one year from Chad when I had first became his girlfriend.

I looked over at him as he stood on his toes to put an ornament close to the top of the tree, then bent down to get another one.

"Remember when you first asked me to be your girlfriend?" I randomly asked. He looked at me as another Christmas song started playing. He smiled and went back to hanging the ornament.

"Yeah I do. You were at my football game sitting on the third bleacher from the bottom. After the game I had my teammates hold up signs. Everyone was confused and as my team flipped the signs around everyone in the the bleachers read it out loud. Nicole. Shepard. Will. You. Be. My. Girlfriend. And I was standing at the very end. You started crying as you ran over to me and gave me a hug. You said yes and everyone cheered" he looked back at me and gently grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to him. I wrapped my arms around his neck still playing with the ornament. He stared into my blue eyes and smiled. I quickly pecked his lips and pulled out of his arms. He frowned, but quickly replaced it with a smile as he picked up another ornament.

"Remember this one" he said and showed me another ornament.

"Yeah" I smiled.

"We were twelve. It was the first time your family had Christmas with us. I saw that in Walmart and had to get it so I asked my mom to get it. Then Christmas morning I gave it to you. You had the biggest smile on your face" I finished, smiling at the wonderful memory. He put it on the tree as I got another ornament. After placing it on the tree, I went to the kitchen to get some candy canes. I couldn't find them so I spent about thirty minutes looking. As I was searching I head the door open, but no voices. I finally found peppermint candy canes under the sink.

"Chad who put the candy canes under the...." I stopped myself at the sight in front of me. I saw Chad in a tux and holding a box and the other guys, including Alan, standing off to the side making a straight line from me to Chad. 'Well he's not asking me to marry him, since he already did that' I thought as I touched my wedding band. I slowly walked forward with a confused look on my face. The guys started humming 'What Child Is This'.

"Chad what's going on?" I asked him slowly scooting closer. He smiled at me and spoke.

"Ever since I became your boyfriend, I imagined getting married. I did that, now there is only a few things left" he paused. "One of those things...is our first Christmas and now, here we are, having our first Christmas as a married couple" he slowly opened the black box and revealed. Another Christmas ornament. I smiled. Chad always knows how to make me smile.

"Chad it's beautiful" I stared at the beautiful ornament.

He put it down gently and hugged me. We stood there for awhile, until I heard a door close. Probably the guys giving us some privacy, which I was glad for.

"I love you Chad, thank you for the best Christmas ever" I whispered in his ear.

"I love you too, Nicole" he whispered back.
