Chapter 22: Confusion

Taehyun's POV

I was super confused at what's been happening right now. How come she just disappeared so easily?

I looked around, once again just to make sure whether she's still here. Before, actually checking my friend's list. When, I saw mine she wasn't on the list anymore. 'Did she just unfriend me?' I thought, as I look into it some more.

Thankfully, she didn't but she did log out. So, that's the reason why she disappeared so quickly, from my sight. Well, since she's already offline there's no need for me to be here anymore, so I guess I'll log out as well.

Since, I'm still in a bad mood, it wouldn't be good to go and meet my parents, just yet. Cause, they'll bombard me with all sorts of questions. I'm still undecided on what should I do, with my remaining time.

I flipped onto my bed, and snuggled with my pillows. Well, that is until my phone beeped. I thought that it will only beep once, but I was wrong. It seems like they're still awake as well.

Well, since I have nothing else to do, why not join them?

Yeonderella:
Yo. Guys, have you seen the girls?

Soobinnie:
No, why?

Waeng:
Well, I haven't.

Yeonderella:
How about you @KangTaehyun ?

Taehyun:
No. I don't even know them.

Yeonderella:
Ah. Right.

Taehyun:
You guys haven't introduce then to me yet.

Yeonderella:
It's because, you always deny the request they ask you for.

Soobinnie:
Yep.

Waeng:
That's so true.

Taehyun:
Oh wow.

Taehyun:
Anyway. I know you guys met my friend, right?

Yeonderella:
Yeah.

Waeng:

Soobinnie:
We didn't actually met her, we "Bumped" into her.

Taehyun:
Right.

Taehyun:
I just want to ask.

Waeng:

Soobinnie:
What is it?

Yeonderella:
I'm listening.

Waeng:
Hyung. You're not actually listening. You're "reading".

Waeng:
Plus, princess Yeonderella is here.

Soobinnie:
Oh wow Beomgyu.

Yeonderella:

Taehyun:
Before this even turn into something very different. Let's go back to me.

Taehyun:
So, I wanted to meet the person behind that character.

Yeonderella:
Well, did she agree?

Waeng:
That's interesting?

Soobinnie:
Oh gosh.

Taehyun:
And she did agree hyung.

Soobinnie:
But?

Taehyun:
But, she didn't show up.

Taehyun:
Making me wait there, until it was already late.

Taehyun:
In the end, I didn't get to know her.

Taehyun:
Plus, I went home soaking wet, from the rain.

Yeonderella:
Well, That's just harsh.

Soobinnie:
So, what happened afterwards?

Taehyun:
That's the point.

Taehyun:
She just started to avoid me. Like, when I tried to talk to her.

Taehyun:
She just quickly ran away from me.

Taehyun:
And then logged out of the game completely.

Waeng:
Oh wow, I've never heard of such a thing that happened to one of us before.

Yeonderella:
That's right.

Soobinnie:
Yep. But, then again, it already happened.

Soobinnie:
So, we can't really do anything related to that matter.

Soobinnie:
Maybe, she's just like Chaeryeong? You know your seatmate?

Soobinnie:
You know that she and your "friend" sounds so alike didn't you notice that, Tae?

Waeng:
You're right she does sound a bit like Chaeryeong...

Yeonderella:
So, what if they both have the same personalities?

Yeonderella:
I mean a lot people have the same personalities right? Maybe, it's just a coincidence?

Soobinnie:
But, what if it's not?

Soobinnie:
I mean maybe Taehyun has the right know right?

Yeonderella:
I know what you mean, but you should also understand that we shouldn't raise Taehyun's spirits up.

Waeng:
Will you two stop fighting like a married couple or something?

Waeng:
You two aren't helping the situation at all.

Taehyun:
It's fine... I guess they're both right...

Soobinnie:
Taehyun...

Yeonderella:
We didn't mean to...

Taehyun:
No, it's really fine. I mean there's nothing wrong with trying right?

Taehyun:
Anyway, I have to go now. I'm going to sleep early today.

Author's POV

It has been a really tough night for Taehyun. As he continues to wonder about his friend's sudden avoidance to him. Because, who wouldn't?

Taehyun is currently getting ready for school, since he decided to go to school early today, so he can talk to his partner or most commonly known as his seatmate. Taehyun was busy checking his looks on the full human sized mirror inside his bedroom.

When Taehyun was finally done checking himself on that big mirror, he quickly got his bag, and went outside.

Taehyun was hoping to not, encounter his family. Because, for sure, they'll be interrogating him, because of what happened yesterday night. Taehyun slowly, went down the stairs, and looked around just to see nobody.

But, unfortunately he didn't know that they were all upstairs, watching him creeping himself away from the house. That is until; he heard a cough that made him look around.

Taehyun saw, his family there, looking at him worriedly. All they wanted to do was just to talk to Taehyun, but he didn't want that. So, he just ran away from both his family and their house.

Taehyun was running towards the school, hoping that if he reaches the school, they won't bother him anymore. When, he finally reached the school gates, he quickly fixed himself, and greeted the guard that was on duty.

He quickly entered the campus, not minding everybody's eyes, as he cross the hallways. He was on his way, their classroom that is until he bumped into somebody.

'Great, a new week just started and now I'm bumping into people...' Taehyun thought, as he stood up.

Taehyun, quickly helped the person, not knowing who it was. After, helping the person, he was about to take his leave, when that same person held his hand, making him stop on his tracks.

"Wait!" The person exclaimed, making Taehyun's system wipe out.

Taehyun's POV

After, I heard the person's voice, I tried to avoid her. But, I couldn't since she called out my name. I turned around, and gave her a little glare, which she quickly answered with a little hand gesture.

"What do you want, now? Chaeyeon?" I asked her.

"Really? No greetings?" She asked.

"Nope." I said, popping out the 'p' sound.

"Okay, fine." She said, and let out a brief sigh.

"The thing is," She started.

"Chaeryeong, won't be here today." She said, like suddenly and dropped it like a bomb.

'What does she mean, Chaeryeong won't be here?' I thought, and looked at her confused.

I think she got what I was I asking, which was, what the reason that she would be absent today was.

"She just said that she doesn't feel too good..." She said, while shrugging her shoulders.

"Really?" I asked which she just nodded her head.

"Okay, if that's all I'll be taking my leave then." I said, and was about to leave her. When she spoke once again, and made me turn around.

"Well, something did happen. Yesterday, she left, about 8 AM, in the morning. She said, she was going to meet with someone. Hours later, she came back. But, you know what's odd?" She said, looking at me. I quickly shook my head, as a sign for her.

"Whenever, she comes back to the house, she doesn't make noises, but when came back yesterday. She made some super loud ones, and me being the older sister that I am, checked on her just to find out that she locked the door, but I can still hear her sobbing, behind the door." She said, explaining to me.

"Well, that's everything I know. I have to go now, I earlier classes than you guys, so I'll get going now, 'kay? Bye!" She said, and started walking away.

Leaving me confused at what she just said to me. But, mid-way of her walking away she suddenly stopped.

"Oh, and by the way. Take care of my baby sister for me. I may not look like the person who would care for her. But, I care for her so much." She said, and continued on her tracks.

I was still a frozen statue right in the middle of the hallway, just standing and looking into the distance. I was still looking towards the place where Chaeyeon noona, once stood. Thinking about what just had happened and what she just said to me.

'Aish! Taehyun! Get your head into the game! You still have to find that player.' I thought, and scolded myself.

After, that little scolding session with myself, I shrugged off what Chaeyeon noona just said earlier. While, I was busy walking towards our classroom, my head was filled to the brim with so many thoughts not about my friend in the game, and about my seatmate who suddenly just decided to be absent today.

"Just what happened to Chaeryeong?" I asked myself, while I was walking towards the direction of our classroom.

"And who is that mystery player?" I asked myself, once again.

"I just want to know her. There's literally nothing wrong with that, right?" I asked myself, before stopping on my tracks.

'I shouldn't be thinking of this, right now. I need to focus on school.' I thought, and shook my head a bit.
