Chapter 21: Avoid

Chaeryeong's POV

After that little 'incident' with him, we became a bit awkward. We didn't talk for about ten minutes? Since, it is awkward between the two of us.

I was deciding whether I should try to break the awkwardness or not. But, he sensed that I was about to break the awkwardness, and decided that he should break it himself.

"So, uh. How about we meet up in person?" He suddenly asks. Which is weird since, he isn't that type of person who likes to ask out of the blue.

"Don't get me wrong. I just want to meet you in person. Since, you don't talk that much in front of me here." He said, trying to defend himself.

"I mean, you said, you also go to Hanlim, right? So, we might know each other, or maybe we have bumped into each other." He said.

After, he said that. I've thought of it, also. But, the chances are just too low, since our school is so big and is so well known, by many big personalities.

"I doubt it. Our school is a bit too big, for us to have met or maybe have bumped into each other. So, we have a really slim chance of it." I said to him. He just frowned at me and my answer to him.

"Well, there's nothing wrong with trying right?" He asked me, while still frowning.

That made me question about what I just said earlier.

'He's right, there's literally nothing wrong with trying.' I thought, but then a plan suddenly went to my mind.

'What if I agree to his terms, and don't show up? I mean I basically just out-smarted him. That also means that I either get to know him, or maybe see him personally.' I thought.

Which, is a really fool proof plan to be honest.

"Okay, I guess? There's literally nothing wrong with it." I said, and his frown quickly turned upside down.

"Really?! Did you really just agree with me?!" He said, exclaiming it. I just laughed at him, and nodded my head.

He then started to jump around, as if he was a bunny of what not.

"Okay, now that's settled. How about we talk about the details?" I asked him, which he quickly obeyed.

As we continued to plan about our meeting, it was also accompanied by my laughs and doubtless. Because, he actually seems to be somebody whose fun to be with.

After that little meeting, we quickly logged out since, it was getting late. We both agreed on meeting at the park, by 10 AM.

I quickly stretched my body, before going to sleep, since I was a bit stiff already just from sitting on that stupid dumb chair.

'I can't wait for tomorrow.' I thought, before sleeping it all away.

Author's POV

It was the day that the two of them decided to meet each other. Both, of them were excited to meet each other. But, of course it has a bit of nervousness with it

Both of them were busy getting ready for it. And started acting, as if they both have a date or something.

They both finally finished fixing themselves up, and are heading towards the park. That is near to their school. They were both walking towards it, of course with different ways towards it.

Taehyun reached the place first, and saw that there we're not many people in the place and decided to sit down on one of the benches near the entrance. As it's their respected place to meet up.

Meanwhile, Chaeryeong took the other way, instead of getting into the place using the front entrance she used the left entrance. But, once she entered the place, her heart shattered into pieces.

Chaeryeong's POV

I reached the place that we were supposed to meet in, but once I entered the place, my breathing suddenly became heavier.

Without, thinking twice, I ran away from the scene. Just, so I can hide away. I left him there, waiting for me. I don't care whether he thinks that I'm a coward or what; I just don't think that we could be friends.

I finally reached our house and went inside it. I ran towards my bedroom, looking the door, and decided to cry it all. All the emotions that I'm feeling right now.

I kept on crying for hours, in the end, I just decided, I shouldn't show up anymore and just play the game some more. Since he might still be at the park.

I was still busy getting ready, when the rain suddenly poured in hard. I suddenly got a bit conscience, one part of me wanted to call him, but the other part just wanted me to ignore him.

In the end, I decided not to pay any attention to it, and just play the game.

Taehyun's POV

It's been hours since, our meeting time ended. It's currently three in the afternoon. It's raining so hard, but I didn't mind it. A lot of the people who was here earlier already left the place. Since, it was raining pretty badly.

Maybe. Just maybe. She'll show up right in front of me, saying that she had forgotten about it or she had to do something very important that it couldn't wait anymore.

And not, just to let me wait here, in the rain looking like somebody just dumped me or something.

I've been sitting her for hours already, while the rain just continued to pour on me. It's currently seven in the evening.

A lot of thoughts came in my mind, while I was waiting for her. But, one of them just angered me, I don't know why but, it just did. 'Maybe, she just agreed to make me look dumb.' I thought.

Since, it was getting pretty late, I decided I should go back home, because there's literally no way she would show up here, at night.

I reached my house, pretty much soaking wet; I didn't knock anymore and just entered the house. Just, to meet worried eyes from my parents and siblings.

They were about to say something, when I left them. Just to go my bedroom, I closed the door gently and locked it. I looked at myself on my mirror.

'I look like a mess...' I thought, and decided to fix myself up a bit.

Since, it was getting late I decided not to eat anymore, because I don't have an appetite, anymore. After, what just happened to me, earlier today.

I turned on my laptop, and clicked on the game. To check, whether she's online or not. Once, it was done loading, I quickly logged in, and checked my friend's list. To check on her.

Thankfully, she is online, and is currently at bloom meadow, near town. I quickly ran over to that place, just to see her, sitter at the grass looking nowhere.

I quickly called her out, as soon as I saw here. "Chae!" I called out to her, which made her flinch up a bit, she slowly looked over to where I was, and once she saw me.

She stood up, and ran away. Which, confused me, "Did I do something wrong?" I asked myself, while trying to remember whether I did or not.

While, I was doing that I chased her as well. I actually don't remember whether I did something wrong or not. And I most especially don't know whether we're playing or not.

Since, earlier she seems to be out of herself earlier today.

We kept on running until I lost track of her in the town square. I looked around the place, but there was still nothing. In the end I just gave up.

Chaeryeong's POV

Once, I reached the town square, I looked for somewhere safe and crowded to blend into the crowd, before logging out completely.

I was finally out of the game, and my breathing suddenly became uneven once again. Maybe because, I'm afraid of him?

I actually don't know anymore.

I just don't want to face him for now or maybe anymore. But, I kind of doubt that, since we are seatmates at school.

I cannot even, comprehend what I was feeling until now. I just can't accept it.

Because, I actually fell in love with him, without me knowing. But, he is also the main reason why I get bullied, almost every single day.

My mind is just too complicated to understand, right now. I'll just sleep it off for now.
