Chapter 19: Project

Author's POV

It has been days, ever since the announcement was made. The two, kept on being in touch with each other, may it be in the actual world or the virtual one.

But, little did they know that they were actually both falling for each other. Little, by little.

Chaeryeong was waiting in front of the school, since this is where the both of them agreed on meeting up. But, Taehyun was running late for it. Making Chaeryeong, go out of her mood, much more than usual.

It has been 10 minutes, ever since Chaeryeong has been waiting there. Looking like a person whose been abandoned by somebody on the side walk.

Chaeryeong was already thinking, that Taehyun didn't actually mean what he said, back then. That, this was all just for show.

Chaeryeong, glanced at her wrist watch, just to see that it was almost 10 in the morning. Chaeryeong was about to leave, when she heard somebody called her name out.

Chaeryeong's POV

I was about to leave, when I heard somebody call out my name, and as naturally me being me, I didn't even turn around. I just continued to walk away, the meeting place.

That is, until somebody suddenly held me, by the wrist. 'This scene kind of reminds me of something that happened...' I thought, and was trying to remember where it had happened.

The person who held, my wrist suddenly turned me around, making me so confused. But, then it suddenly hit me. Taehyun.

It was Taehyun all along; he was the one who called me. He was sweaty and panting heavily.

"I'm sorry, that I was late... I had to get something done on our place..." He said, while trying to catch his breath.

"It's fine..." I said, while looking at him, but I actually unconsciously smiled, because even though, he was busy he still tried his best just to get here. And, I kind of appreciate that.

I smiled at him, because he was the first person to do that for me that is actually pretty distant from me. Not, even my own family does these kinds of things, but him? He just did.

While, waiting for him I decided to strike a conversation with him, with obviously surprised him. Because, I'm known for staying quiet and usually other people starts the conversation, but today is his lucky day, since I was the one who started the conversation.

"Okay, how about while we walk towards your house, we can talk about the project?" I asked him, suggesting. While he just smiled, and nodded.

"Okay. So, since we have no actual idea on what to do for our project that sounds like a plan." He said agreeing with me.

We finally reached his place, which in general wasn't actually that far from school, but ours is much closer to our school.

He quickly opened the gate to his yard and gestured for me to get inside the place. Which I actually did. We still, have to walk towards their doorstep. Once, we reached it he quickly knocked three times, because he said, his whole family is in there.

So, there was no need for him to bring the keys for their house. After a few minutes, of waiting the door suddenly flew open, surprising both me and Taehyun.

It was a maid, and just like us she also looked surprised. She quickly bowed down, to Taehyun and quickly left the both of us, after being thanked by Taehyun to open the door for us.

Not bad, actually I thought he would be an arrogant person, who's lazy just like his friends. But, I guess you can't judge a book by its cover.

After that little 'show' we had with maid, he quickly showed me towards their living room, which was surprisingly filled with stuff. Cause, I thought that we actually space for the time being that we will be making our project. But, it seems like I was wrong.

The people, who were busy talking noticed out presence, and quickly stood up. They were all smiling, at Taehyun or should I say us.

'I don't know whether it's just me, or are they really this creepy?' I asked myself, because they are literally scary to look at right now.

I guess, Taehyun noticed my silence and took it as a sign. He quickly looked at his family, and raised an eyebrow at them. Asking an explanation from them, to which they just pointed to a lady who looks like she's on her early-forties.

The lady quickly raised her arms up, telling us that she's surrendering. "Okay, okay. It was me. Well, who can blame me, when you first said it yourself, that you're bringing a girl over here, you want it to be welcoming." The lady said, while looking at the both of us.

"And, it's just this is your first time bringing somebody over other than your friends, and she's a girl! So, who wouldn't want to meet her?" The lady said, continuing her earlier statement and explained to us.

I just looked at Taehyun and it kind of looks like he was so done with his own family. While, looking at his face I was trying so hard, not to smile or what not. But, I failed so miserably. I guess I just couldn't keep it in.

They all looked at me, I quickly fixed myself. Since, I was just a guest here, in their house, while they're the owners. So, I don't have anything to say about this matter.

They all smiled at me, and suddenly went near me. Which surprised me, while they were getting near me, I went behind Taehyun because, and I'm a bit nervous about this kind of set up.

Which, he sensed perfectly fine if I do say so myself. "... Mom? You guys are scaring her..." He said, telling them to back off.

"We just wanted to introduce ourselves to her." A lady who looked like she was in her early-twenties said.

"Then, I'll introduce you guys to her." He said, crossing his arms and looked at me.

"Okay, Chaeryeong. I'll introduce my family to you now. So, you won't get scared anymore." He said, and teased me a bit. I quickly slapped his arm, after he said that.

"I'm not scared!" I protested at him.

Which, he just laughed at. "Yeah, right. Then, what was that, earlier?" He said, teasing me more.

"I was just, nervous..." I said, whispering to him.

He quickly laughed at my statement. "As if I'll believe you..." He said and quickly faced his family.

"So, yeah. Her name is Lee Chaeryeong. But, you guys can call her..." He said, while looking at me. More like asking me to continue his earlier statement.

"Umm, you guys can call me, Chaeryeong." I said, and bowed to them.

"Okay, now that you know her name. I'll be introducing you guys to her." He said, but suddenly hit glares from his family.

"No need, little brother. We can introduce ourselves to her." Said the same lady who looked like was in her early-twenties.

"Hmph. Fine then. I'm just going to sit at this corner." Taehyun said, and sat down on one of the sofas.

They all just laughed at him, and his antics. Because, it was honestly both cute and funny.

"Now, that's settled. We'll start to introduce ourselves, and then we'll leave the both of you here. As, we still have some other stuff to do, as well." The man who looked like he was on his early-forties.

"I'm Kang Minho. Taehyun's father." He said, and let out his hand for a hand shake, which I happily accepted.

"I'm Im Jieun. Taehyun's mother, who is pretty much the only person, which he doesn't roast." The lady who was in her early-forties said, while smiling at me, doing the same gesture as her husband did.

"I'm Kang Daniel. I'm Taehyun's older brother. I'm the oldest out of the three of us." The guy who looked like he was in his early-twenties said.

"And, I'm Kang Seulgi. I'm Taehyun's older sister. And, yes before you ask, we're twins." The pretty lady who looked like was she was in her early-twenties said, before quickly pointing at Daniel oppa, while also waving and smiling at me.

I just smiled at them; I looked over at where Taehyun was, just to find him looking at me. Which is really uncomfortable for me. I heard somebody cough, which made me turn around to the source.

Just to see, a Seulgi eonni who was looking at me, saying 'whatcha doin there?' face. Which, I just returned with a little pout, and pointed over where Taehyun was.

She quickly got it, and said something to Uncle and Auntie. After, whispering something to them, they quickly slightly smirked, but then again, I might be a bit on the assuming side, of thing once again.

But, after me assuming that they were planning something. They actually, did plan something, cause after that little 'discussion'. They left the actual literal place. Leaving both me and Taehyun in such an awkward situation.

I quickly looked back over at Taehyun just to meet, him still looking at me. I quickly snapped my fingers right in front of him. Once I got his attention, I pointed towards the clock and stared at him for some time.

Which, he totally got the point, and quickly got the materials that we were going to need, just to make this stupid dumb project.

We are finally done with the project. It took us hours, just to make it. While, in the process of making it, we also got to know each other more, both in real life and virtual life.

To be honest, he kind of reminds me of the person that I met with back in the first day, I played.

I was busy fixing the place up, a bit since it would be rude not to clean up, a bit before leaving the place. That is, until he called me, and naturally me whenever people whose actually close to me, I did turn around.

I was looking at him, and he looked kind of confused to be honest. Which confused me, because there's no actual reason for him to be confused right?

I was about to ask him, what's wrong when he suddenly asked something.

"Are we actually friends now?" He suddenly asked, out of the blue. I smiled, because of how funny he looks, right now.

I just nodded at him, before continuing to clean the place up a bit.

We are currently fighting on whether he should let me go home alone, or not. He's the one saying I shouldn't, and I'm the one saying I should. Because, I'm literally older than him, but look at me. I'm losing to this kid, unbelievable. Just unbelievable.

After a couple of minutes. Somebody finally won, and the one who won, is Taehyun. Because, mid-way the argument he started stating facts, and I cannot get back at him in any way. And that's the main reason why, I lost to him. It's because of those stupid facts.

'And that's the reason why I hate facts.' I thought, and mentally made a promise. That, facts should not and will not be used in another argument, for the next one.

We left the house, to the maids, because it was getting late, plus we both still have some plans for the rest of the evening. So, we both just hurried our way, towards my house.

We reached several stops on the way to my house. Funny, how I said I will never talk to him. Laugh with him. Walk with him. Greet him. Befriend him. That I'll just ignore him until my life ends. But, here we are, talking and laughing.

We were both so busy talking and laughing that we both completely forgot about me going back to my house. That, we actually went pass by, which, I totally blame Taehyun for that.

Taehyun's POV

After, walking quite the distance from my house we finally reached her place.

She was finally in front of her house's gate, standing in front of it while holding one of the designs on top of it. I was still smiling at her, telling her that she should go inside, already.

But, she said that I should leave first, before she gets inside the place. Which, since she was the one who made the deal. I actually did it. I quickly bid her goodbye, before leaving her completely.

But, on my way away from her place, when I heard her shout something. That actually made my day better than usual. I turned around to say the same thing, but was just to meet a smiling Chaeryeong.

*dug dug dug dug*

'Uhh, what was that?' I asked myself.

I quickly smiled at her, before continuing the walk that was disturbed earlier. I was still walking away from her house, when I suddenly felt something in me.

Chaeryeong's POV

After, Taehyun was gone from my sight. I quickly went in our house, I ran upstairs to my bedroom, and locked the door as soon as I got in.

I looked around my room, just to see if there was any camera in my room. After that, I quickly jumped towards my bed, and started rolling over it. Just, to take off the odd feeling inside me.

A few minutes passed by, and it actually worked once again. But, it kind of took a bit while just to take off the feeling. I glanced at the clock that was hanging on the wall, just to check the time.

And I was already running late, for the meeting. 'Shoot!' I thought, as I mentally scold myself eternally. I set up the laptop that I was using to play the game, for a very comfortable playing later.

I was still fixing myself; I changed myself into pajamas since they are more comfortable to play into, than what I was wearing. Once, I was actually done with changing my clothes.

I went over the desk, and turned on my laptop, entered my password and quickly clicked the game. I was waiting for the game to load some more.

It finally finished loading, I quickly saw the home screen, and entered the things that they require us to answer. Just to log in, into the game. I finished answering them, in no time. And I found myself logging into the game.
