Chapter Thirty: The Goblet Of Fire

Harry's P.O.V (STILL)

Recap:

"You can dance with Pavarti if you want." Ron gestured to his date's sister, still shocked about Hermione.

"Thanks Ron, but I want to find Madelin-" I froze in my tracks as I turned around.

Neville?

"Why is Madeline with Neville?" Ron asked, confused.

"If I knew, I'd tell you." I admitted. Maddie walked down the stairs and wouldn't make eye contact with me.

Madeline's P.O.V

I know this was a jerky thing to do but I was starting to get mad at Harry for not asking me and then Neville came and asked me. He was so sweet about it too so I couldn't say no. I couldn't look Harry in the eye.

Neville walked me down to the dance floor, "Neville, we are going as friends, remember?"

"I know," we had a few dances. "I'm going to go say hi to Luna." I nodded and went over to where Ron and Harry were sitting. I don't think they danced at all. I, of course, could barely dance but that didn't stop me.

"Hi Harry." I said quietly. He didn't look up at me.

"Harry." he looked up at me.

"We only went as friends."

"I get it Madeline." I don't-

"Harry, we're only going as-"

"It's fine, Maddie." he turned away from me.

"Harry James Potter." people stopped and looked including Harry and Ron.

"You better listen to me. Neville and I are just friends and I came here with him because you didn't even ask me. I do not hate you." he nodded and Ron gulped.

"Bloody hell, you're just like mum." I chucked a little bit.

"You look beautiful tonight." Harry stood up, grabbing my waist. I laughed and rolled my eyes.

"Thanks, you don't look to bad yourself." he chuckled and kissed my lips lightly. I don't know why but Draco popped into my head. He pulled away and smiled. I smiled back and he led me onto the dance floor. After I danced with Harry a few times, I danced with Ron as well.

"Madeline, you look great." Hermione smiled as she went up to me.

"Thank you 'Mione, you do too."

"Victor has gone to go get drinks, care to join us?" 

"No we wouldn't like to join you and Victor." I smiled slightly to Hermione.

"It's getting late, I think I am going to head up." I said and she nodded.

"I will see you guys later?" they all nodded and I smiled out the door.

"Wow." I smiled.

"You seem happy." someone caught up behind me.

"Draco." I smiled but I remembered what happened when Harry and I kissed.

"So Potter and you are dating?" he smirked.

"Yeah.."

"Madeline, you look stunning." he smiled and I did too.

"Thanks, you-," I looked at his sunk in eyes. "you look- tired." He chuckled a little.

"Thanks." I smiled and he kissed my cheek.

"Draco," I gestured between us. "this can't happen, I-"

"-have a boyfriend, yeah I got that part." I smiled slightly and sat down in the window sill. He sat down next to me.

"Madeline, you shouldn't have danced on that tonight." he looked down at my leg.

"I know, it was fun though. But now that I stopped, it really hurts." I lifted it up and laid it down.

"Do you need ice?" I nodded and he gestured me to follow him. I followed him to a blank wall and was completely confused.

"Draco, this is a wall." he held up his hand and paced by it 3 times.

"Draco," I laughed, giving him a weird look. "what are yo-" a small door appeared and my jaw dropped.

"How did you do that?" he laughed.

"Magic." I nudged him.

"Lay down on the bed and I will get you some ice." I nodded and laid on the bed. It was surprisingly comfy.

"Let's play Wizard Chess!" I smiled, jumping up and grabbing the board. He looked at me weird as he came back with the ice.

"You're foolish if you want to play against me." he sat on the bed next to me.

"Oh yeah?" I laughed.

"Yeah."

"Well you're in for a big surprise, Draco Malfoy."

"I think not, Madeline Weasley." I smiled and pulled out the board.

"Checkmate." I smirked and his eyes widened.

"H-how?"

"Draco, I grew up with 6 brothers." he shrugged.

"But I'm still better." he smiled.

"Nuh uh!" I threw a pillow at him. It turned to a full on pillow fight.

"Really?" Draco laughed and threw a pillow at me. I fell off the bed and grabbed my foot.

"Oh my god, Maddie. Are you-" I smiled and got up, hitting him with a pillow.

"You jerk! I thought you were hurt." he jumped towards me and cornered me.

"Sorry?" I asked laughing.

"Hey, no fair! I can't run!" he laughed as he cornered me again. I squealed as he picked me up and threw me on the bed. He looked at me for a second before we both leaned in.

Our lips connected and this time I didn't pull away.
