Hime looked around with a warm smile " I wish we could stay like this forever . Playing around like kids. Not a problem to care about. "

"Are you coming Hime-san?" Aichi asked

Everyone looked at her.

"Yah!"

"Ok! Today is the day we conquer japan in the nationals!" Kamui cheered " I'll seet on the passenger seat next to Shin!"

"Sorry Kamui, but that's Misaki's place."

"Huh?! Why?!"

"She'll navigate me to the tournament."

"Just buy a GPS then."

"Well think about it this way Kamui. Why would you need a GPS when you've got Misaki?"

Kamui was silenced at the thought "Hmph. Then I'll seat in the back windo- KAI?!"

"What?"

"that's my seat!!

"Why?"

"I've seated in the window seat since birth!!" Kamui explaned

"Like I care..."

"Why you!!"

"Ngghh..." a grunt was heard from the back. All of them looked at the source.

"W-what is Hime doing there?!" Aichi said blushing. Apparently it's the first time he saw a girl sleeping. "S-she shouldn't be defenseless like that!"

"Calm down Aichi. Nothing bad will happen." Shin calmly said " Ayumi and Hime showed up a little early so Hime decided to wait for you guys but ended up sleeping."

"What time was she here shin?" Misaki asked

"About four hours earlier."

"F-four hours!?"

"Haha, well Ayumi was strict not being late to the tournament since I won't be accompanying her. Hime, well, wanted to come along since she'll be late for the trip if Ayumi didn't wake her up. But that ended up bad, she kept on sleeping on the way here. At least, that's what Ayumi said.  She only slept for 3 hours after all."

"Wow..."Aichi said sounding impressed

"All of the window seat are taken!"

"Don't worry Kamui, there's a window seat here. " Aichi pointed.

So Team PQ4 set out to the national tournament, by the time they got there-

"Woah! The regional tourament was big , but this is huge!!" 

"Princess!! Wake up!!" Kamui shouted

*BANG*

"Owwww!!" Kamui said in pain, as he held his head

"Huh?"

"Why the heck did you do that?!" Kamui shouted with tears in his eyes 

"Where am I?"

"Good morning Hime-san. We're at the nationals now. You slept the whole trip."

"Oh! Now I remember... Sorry Kamui that's always my wake up call."

"How the heck is that a wake up call?!"

"Haha, how about this, I'll treat you after the match then we're even."

"Hai!" he smiled.

"Well we've got a problem. The parking slots are full so I have to find one that's far from here. Why don't you guys wait here ok?"

"guess we have no choice."

The van left with  a sound 

"Huh? What's that?" Aichi asked as he pointed out 

"Oh! The press!"

"They always broadcast the nationals."

"Is that Dr. O?!"Kamui exclaimed "That's not something you see everyday. C'mon let's check it out."

But while Kamui was running he didn't notice the man walking towards him. " Ough.."

"Kamui!"

Hime sighed but decided to go after, with Misaki and Aichi "aaand as usual, Kai doesn't care -_-"

The guy bent down "Are you okay?"

Hime picked up the fallen notebook "History of rome?"

Aichi went to Kamui "Kamui-kun, are you okay?"

Kamui was scratching his head "How many times did this- ugh never mind. Don't worry bro, I'm fine."

"Oh, I'm glad."

"Huh?! Don't say that after you bumped into someone!"

"I guess... But you're the one who bumped to me, well anyway, I'm just glad your not hurt. I'm sorry."the man said as he lowers his head.

"S-sorry for not looking, and for bumping into you."

"Koutei? What are you doing again??" a girl approaches with a another guy

"Did something happen? Don't tell you're causing trouble again."

"I just had a little collision..."

The girl kneeled down "Sorry kid, are you okay?"

"K-kid?! Don't treat like I'm a child."

But the girl ignored and held his arm "Look, you scraped your elbow. Hold on I think I have a bandage here."

Kamui pulled back his arm "I-it's not a big deal."

The girl insisted, and put the bandage on. "..." kamui blushed a little

"Has anyone seen my book?"

"Sorry, my teammate has it. "Misaki answered

"Huh??"

"...led an important role on the demise of the roman republic and the rise of the roman empire." Hime read

"I see she's interested in my book."

"Hey -" Aichi stuttered

"It's ok, I like to read it sometimes too."

Kamui suddenly screamed "The cameras are gone!! Ugh!! It's because of you we lost them!" blamed the kid.

 "Sorry, sorry."

"Spot them" Ayia said.

"Who?"

"Them." 

"Wow, the match didn't even start and yet they met that team."

"I don't see Kiniro though."

"He's probably late again, or off wandering somewhere."

"Sir, why do you have the story of the pompey, crassus, and julius?" Hime asked as she returns the book

"Oh you heard of them?" Koutei asked with beaming eyes

"Well, yes. I was once curious of the roman empire and I happened to read them." Hime mentioned

"Julius?"Kamui asked 

"I think it's Julius Ceasar Kamui." Aichi answered

"Yah you're right."

"CEASAR!?!" Kamui looked surprised "Then that means, you guys are team ceasar right??"

"Are they famous?" Aichi asked

"Are you kidding?! Last year, they won second place in the nationals, while the year  before they were the champions."

"EH!? The CHAMPIONS?!"

Kai looked at their way.

"I think, you're Kenji Mitsusada." Hime pointed "Then Guy, and your sister Yuri.  And ....wait "

a crowd started gathering "It's team Ceasar!!"

"Wow, they even look more awesome in real life!"

"Is that Koutei!?"

"Uh, can we go somewhere else? I hate being a center of attention." Koutei asked

"Guys we forgot our bag..." Hime reminded.

"Ah wait!!" Kamui shouted

"Wow!!" Rekka exclaimed "This is what they call 'A fateful encounter' right?"

"It might be just a coincidence" Kourin coolly said

"Fate or chance" Suiko whispers as she exits the room "We'll know that once this tournament is over."

"Well we didn't introduce ourselves properly earlier, right?"

"Yah, Princess just named you guys earlier." Kamui shrugged, as he looked at Hime and Koutei

"Well Caesar was the first roman general to cross. He built a bridge across the Rhine." Koutei chatted

"He also conducted  the first invasion in Britain right?" Hime added

"Once, the senate ordered him down the military command-" Koutei said with sprakling eyes

"But he refused right?"

"Yes!! Instead he marked his defiance in 49 BC by crossing the Rubicon with a legion."

"Caesar's victory in the war put him in an unrivaled position of power and influence." 

"He also created the Julian calender!"

"......." all of them stared at the two

"A-anyway My name is Yuri Usui."

"I'm her brother, Guy."

"The guy over there with your friend is Kenji Mitsusada."

"Hmm, I remember you guys having a 4th member right?" Misaki asked

"Oh you must mean Kiniro, Kiniro Inazuma." Guy interupted " He- uhm well... Kinda wandered of his own."

"You mean he adventured off." Yuri corrected 

"Haha yah."

"WOAAAAHHHH!!!"

All of them stopped talking and looked at the source...It was Morikawa

"KOURIN-CHAAAAN!"

They stared at him with exasperated faces 

"Now my Kourin collection is complete!!! Mwuahahaha!!"

"Good for you" Izaki cheered

Ayumi rolled her eyes "Yah, that's what you came for."

"Guess he forgot about team PQ4." Azami commented with an irritated face

"How about we sell his seat?" Miwa joked

"KOURIN-CHAN!!!"

"...he doesn't care does he?" Azami said laughing.

Hime, finally out of Koutei's stories step up." Hmm? Kamui, I don't see Reiji and Eiji anywhere."

"Don't tell me they took the wrong train. Well if Lose-umi made it, I'm sure they'll be fine."

"Haha...Hm? I feel like we forgot something" Aichi murmurs

"Misaki? Aichi? Kamui??" Shin walked as he held some big bags "Hime??? Kai?...Where'd you guys go...."

 It was ultra rare's concert first, and Morikawa kept on shouting. He gave fan shirts to the others. 

"Ok, I'll throw this for you morikawa."Ayumi started walking

"HEY DON'T THROW MY KOURIN SHIRRTTT!!"

"I don't really care for that noise." guy commented

"Aww, but it's making people happy."

"I'm coming with you Ayumi!" azami laughed

"KOURIN!!!"

"....Nonsense." Kai said

Whick Morikawa heard and turned around angrily. " HUH!? YOU JUST SAID 'NONSENSE' DIDN'T YOU SCUMBAG ?!"

Izaki tried to step in "Morikawa you're imagining things. Nobody said that."

"Really? I could've sworn I heard someone."

Miwa tried to hold his laughter. " I didn't hear it, but knowing him I know he would say that." 

"Hey, how does your fighting strategy goes? Do you guys draw straw, or take turns?"

Aichi was shocked at the expression "That's right I almost forgot... Compare to the other 4, my strength is nothing ..."

"Stop it  guy. Don't be nosy about other team's strategy."

"It's not even a strategy. It's a simple knowledge. We will pick the strongest fighters to compete that's it. Weakest it out."

Aichi receive those words like a sword.

"Why you!! "

"No fighting you two!"

"You stay out of this!" Kamui shouted

"S-sure"

"Wait Kamui..."

"Aichi?"

"I know it stings but, he's kinda right."

"HUH!?"

"It's the best for the team right? The weakest is out, and we all know who is the weakest in the team...me" he cracked a smile

"Aichi..." Hime murmured

"Then it's settled."

Kamui kept on glaring at Kai. " Kai! What is Vanguard to you?"

"Searching someone who's stronger and beating them in a battle. That's my Vanguard."

"That's all?"

"yah."

" I didn't go to card capital because i like it. I just want to escape Nagisa. And I didn't had feelings for PQ4."

Misaki and Hime looked at Kamui

"But now I changed, I want to help you guys so bad... But you, even that time"

Hime and Aichi remembered the quarrel with Misaki

"You don't think twice dropping people out. It's like you don't see them nothing but things who hold you back! What do you think teammates are for!?"

" I have no interest in them. It doesn't matter what I think right? the outcome is still the same."

"I CAN'T TAKE IT!"

"Kamui?" Aichi asked

"Sorry Bro, princess, Misaki... but I can't stand with him on the same team! Sorry!!"

Kamui speed off, and Aichi followed " Kamui!!"

Hime also chased with Aichi, but before that... "Kai." Kai looked at her. "Vanguard isn't about winning or losing, it's not about who's the weak or the strong..." she glared at him "One day someone will beat and you'll swallow those words. " then pity appeared in her eyes "One day, you'll beg that you didn't say that...If you think Vanguard is all about what you said-

Kai widened his eyes 

"-then you're the weak one here!" then Hime stormed off.

"if you think Vanguard is all about that, then you're the weak!!!" 

The girl stormed off.

Kai shock his head. " no, it's just a coincidence." 

Aichi and Hime were aboout to reach Kamui, but they were blocked Shin." Aichi, Hime where are you going? The match is about to start ."

"Sorry but I've got to go somewhere."

"Huh? But-"

"Tokura, come with me." Kai ordered

Misaki nodded her head .Then grabbed the bags.

"Aichi, Hime if you guys follow Katsuragi then team PQ4 will be incomplete. And we'll eventually forfeit. Do you want that?"

"I'll take care of this." a golden haired boy said, coming out of nowhere 

"Kiniro!!" Yuri blurted out

"I heard your team earlier, right before the little guy went off " Kiniro said " Miss-" she looked at Hime

"Yes?"

He looked into her eyes "...I know you're afraid to lose another friend, but don't worry..."

Hime's eyes widened " huh..."

"He'll come back. And you-" he looked at Aichi . "Why don't the both of you play past the elimination round and secure a place your friend can return to."

"I-i..."

"Kiniro is right. I mean that's what teams all about right?"

Hime and Aichi looked at each other. "Ok..." but both of them looked back.

  The team went to the stage while the others went to the seats to watch.  Ultra-rare was in the waiting room resting. "Suiko, I'm going out for a while."

"But we're about to-"

Ayia already went off. After a while she was already outside. "Ugh! How before I find any chips!" Suddenly someone bump into her. "Wha-? Kamui?"

"You!"

"what are you doing here?" she asked "the match is about to start you know."

"I know that!"

"..... Wait you're leaving?"

"...."

"It's none of my business." Kamui kept on running

Ayia decided to shout "Your team needs you , ya know?" then she went back to the stage

Kamui stopped at his tracks.....

"Welcome cardfighters! My name is MC  Miya-"

"I DON'T KNOW YOU! GET OFF THE STAGE MC!! HEY SQUARE GLASSES WE DON'T NEED ANY BORING PEOPLE THERE!!" Morikawa shouted

Azami and Miwa tried to hold their laughs while Ayumi and Izaki tried to hide. 

"JUST BRING OUT ULTRA-RARE"

"Morikawa!" Izaki scolded

"It hurts you know" MC said

"PUT DOWN THAT FINGER MC!!" Miwa shouted 

"You too!?" 

"STOP STANDING THERE LIKE AN IDIOT!" Azami added

"Azami! shut up!!" Ayumi shouted

"W-well, lets welcome my assistant today!"

Suiko, Rekka Ayia and Kourin went up.

"Hi everyone!!" Rekka cheered

"Are you ready to play some Vanguard?!!!" Aiya shouted

"KOURIN-CHAN!!"

"We'll make it to the elimination-"

"-then we'll definitely come and get you Kamui."
